Roll up, roll up!

The old one is full, so post your Corrie thoughts and observations here.

She's busy being the hard up school cook on Waterloo Road.

When did Gemma go back to being a childminder? I thought she’d been scared off by Ofsted. Seems like the kids sit there wordlessly colouring and never cry/ whinge or fight. She can sit having “brews” and chatting to her mother while the kids are ignored.

Aveline Sat 08-Jul-23 11:16:57

Just the thought of toileting, and feeding all those children as well as bathing her own and getting them to bed each night is horrendous. After all that, putting in a shift at the Rovers too. I'm amazed she's not cracked up before now. I'm hoping that social services will actually want to help her. That would be a nice positive outcome for a change.

What was that about with Bernie needing to collect Paul’s laundry and saying Gemma could do it?

What laundry? It didn’t look like dry cleaning, just a load of washing.

Surely a household with Billy, Paul and Summer have a washing machine?

Calendargirl Sat 08-Jul-23 11:20:02

How old are the quads? Surely they would be prioritised for a nursery place at a kindergarten or similar, especially with one of them being deaf?

I agree, Ryan's scar was larger and redder than usual and Doodledog I also thought it was a piece of sticking plaster. It appears to be a different makeup artist each session.

The baby will be Damon's, Adam will walk out and SS will remove Gemma's children until she is treated.

I cannot get through to my surgery never mind having a face to face appointment with my GP. I also will be moving surgery.

It’s at least a two week wait to see a GP where I live and they can’t book that far ahead so you are told to ring up first thing on that morning two weeks away and you might get in that day.
Guess, what the hundreds of people who are told that then jam the lines for hours.

Gemma has developed depression in one week. Every scene in her house is unbelievable! And she's so unlikeable.

Calendargirl Wed 12-Jul-23 20:30:26

Why don’t Gemma and Chesney ask Linda, Joseph’s other granny, to fund the summer camp thing he wants to go on, which they can’t afford?

She has told them she would be really happy to pay for extras for him if they find it difficult.

Why be so proud? It would make poor Joseph happy, and she would be chuffed to help.

Doodledog Wed 12-Jul-23 20:31:17

What is going on with Adam?

Calendargirl Wed 12-Jul-23 20:44:55

Uh oh!

Anyone else think that baby is going to come out with a cheeky little wink and a smart line in chat as soon as he can talk?

Doodledog Wed 12-Jul-23 20:50:27

It is bound to be Damon's, isn't it? And the truth will come out one Christmas Day when something unlikely but dramatic happens.

Doodledog Wed 12-Jul-23 20:51:17

Any bets on the baby needing a blood transfusion and Adam being unable to give it? Or that he is proved to be sterile?

Primrose53 Wed 12-Jul-23 20:58:52

I had to take a phone call and missed the bit about how Sarah got the news. Did it say it was Damon’s? Was it a letter or a phone call?

BlueBelle Wed 12-Jul-23 20:58:56

Ohh naughty Sarah

Kandinsky Wed 12-Jul-23 21:01:30

Did she even open the letter?
maybe she just doesn’t want to know?

She got the letter, but told Adam she’d had a phone call. So he never saw the letter, but seeing as she has torn it up and thrown it in the bin…

If it had been Adam’s, she would have been waving it in front of his face and framing it.

Calendargirl Wed 12-Jul-23 21:03:38

And of course if it comes out looking like a mini Damon…..

Doodledog Wed 12-Jul-23 21:03:53

Someone will find it in the bin and blackmail her. We could form a committee and write it between us grin

vegansrock Wed 12-Jul-23 21:05:56

I’m amazed that Adam is so trusting - you’d think being a lawyer he’d want documentary evidence.,

Thanks. I want Damon back!

Kim19 Wed 12-Jul-23 22:47:48

As lawyers go....... he didn't know a letter was the norm and.....he was willing to take his wife's (whom he mistrusts implicitly) for the contents of a crucial telephone call. I know it's fiction but..... come on.

Aveline Thu 13-Jul-23 06:37:47

I don't think she actually read the letter. She's already said she wanted the baby either way.

BlueBelle Thu 13-Jul-23 07:19:18

The baby will be born with a medical problem that requires a DNA but we ll need to wait about 6 months or knowing Corrie it could be any length of pregnancy
Tim’s mum is smitten and Steven will add her to the growing list of bodies and kill her or maybe the tai chi instructor in a jealous rage where will this body/ bodies disappear to ?
Max will get drawn into the ‘group’ again OR maybe he ll save them all and become the hero…. as for Spider and what’sherface that ll end in tears for sure

Doodledog Thu 13-Jul-23 07:58:00

I hope Max can rehabilitate himself in the eyes of the community - I think he got a raw deal.

Elaine seems to be wising up to Stephen now. Whether that will mean he decides to bump her off early remains to be seen.

The Tai Chi bloke is awful, isn’t he? grin. Good comedy value but a bit of a pain. Maybe he and Elaine will run off towards the sunset together, chanting as they go. Did she buy that awful flat, or is she renting it (not that trivialities like having to sell one place before buying another really matter in Soapland)?
