Is anyone still listening or have you given up?

eGJ Thu 13-Feb-25 19:21:00

Well that episode goes way beyond the racism when Usha appeared in the village. I hadn't taken to Lawrence before, but today's words are too much.

Delila Thu 13-Feb-25 20:03:24

Looking forward to hearing how scriptwriters/Linda deal with this.

Scribbles Thu 27-Feb-25 15:16:25

I've never liked the Natasha character and I like her even less following last night's epi.
Also, I'm wondering why the Gills are so obsessive about privacy. Maybe one of them is a socially disgraced former public figure trying to live down their notorious past? Or maybe it's just a script writer's device to make a story out of nothing?

NotSpaghetti Thu 27-Feb-25 16:50:37

Yes.
No doubt they have been watching Lilian in the bushes from their holiday resort!
grin

merlotgran Thu 27-Feb-25 18:04:54

I’m hoping the Gills are up to no good and their money comes from dodgy dealings. Will we ever hear them speak?

I don’t like Natasha at all. There are occasional flashes of kindness but she is mainly self serving and unreasonable. I ought to feel sorry for the Bridge Farm Archers, especially Pat and Tony but I’m team Fallon and The Bull.

Me too merlotgran Natasha’s spending habits have raised their ugly head before! Can’t see the house buying being sorted anytime soon and feel sorry for Kirsty as it stymies her plans. Can’t get my head around Linda and fasting, but interesting to hear about Khahil. How will Akram react on his return home?

Kate54 Thu 27-Mar-25 09:27:53

When, please God, is someone going to suggest a job share for Susan and Clarrie?!

NotSpaghetti Thu 27-Mar-25 09:36:23

Kate - presumably when the scriptwriters have had enough dragging out this nonsense!

It's very very annoying.

Scribbles Fri 28-Mar-25 10:06:59

I'd be happy if both women took stock of their lives and decided to retire, leaving horrible Helen floundering about trying to recruit a new assistant.

Kate54 Fri 28-Mar-25 11:21:46

Harsh!

NotSpaghetti Fri 28-Mar-25 18:47:11

I agree Scribbles but don't see that in the script tbh!

eGJ Sun 30-Mar-25 19:17:47

Why are we having to suffer Joy and Rochelle again? And are the Malik family going to join in any Lent, Holy Week and Easter events? If they like fires, how about Easter Eve with Linda and Ashram?

NotSpaghetti Sun 30-Mar-25 19:51:06

I expect the Maliks will join in with festivals.
Why not.

eGJ Mon 07-Apr-25 19:31:48

Anyone else think Rochelle has an ulterior motive at the abattoir? If she pro humane killing or even against meat production at al?

NotSpaghetti Tue 08-Apr-25 06:35:02

Something is odd.
Not sure what, yet.

Galaxy Tue 08-Apr-25 06:41:01

Was that a reaction to the slaughter house or is she pregnant.

NotSpaghetti Tue 08-Apr-25 06:52:37

I wondered if she was pregnant, too.

Sillymoo Tue 08-Apr-25 07:26:31

She's a vegan/vegetarian so I'd be surprised if she doesn't have an ulterior motive

NotSpaghetti Tue 08-Apr-25 07:28:38

I think I'd missed that info.
Mmmn.
Filming then...?

eGJ Tue 08-Apr-25 18:28:10

Missed it too SillyM and NotS...................my ulterior motive thought could be right!

NotSpaghetti Wed 09-Apr-25 06:34:38

I'm not impressed with Clarrie's leaving gift.
I would have thought she should have had a veg box for a year and a monetary gift.
6 months knitting subscription doesn't seem very exciting or personal. Maybe she'd rather have a voucher?
She will get some redundancy I assume.

Very dull episode

Allsorts Wed 09-Apr-25 22:49:11

Roshelle is too much, can't understand how people take to her, she might be after Vince. She's so pushy and unreliable, her mother leaving as soon as she turns up is unbelievable.. Don't trust Natasha either.

Delila Tue 15-Apr-25 20:00:50

Rochelle - animal rights anyone?

Galaxy Tue 15-Apr-25 20:58:03

Yes I assume so.

eGJ Thu 17-Apr-25 19:15:24

Gransnet said it first! Rochelle is an animal rights undercover agent!
