Only another month to go so I thought we'd better get the new thread up and running smile

I don't know many of this year's contestants so far but I guess we'll get to know them as the show continues. I see there are already comments that some of them have previous dance training.

Wow! The fantastic Bocelli's ..... plus Gio dancing! Terrific!

Grannynannywanny

Whoever is in the dance off with Angela R is unlikely to be saved. I think it’ll be Krishnan

I think you’re right. It’s like anyone in the dance off with Layton. No chance!

merlotgran Sun 12-Nov-23 19:39:54

Andrea and Virginia Bocelli were just awful.

merlotgran

Andrea and Virginia Bocelli were just awful.

Oh, I liked them!

What did you dislike ?

Sara1954 Sun 12-Nov-23 19:45:57

I liked them too

Calendargirl Sun 12-Nov-23 19:46:17

Oh well, it’s bye bye Krishnan.

I think AR was better though, (unfortunately).

cornergran Sun 12-Nov-23 19:46:59

Liked them but thought the sound was dreadful. Had to turn our tv way up.

Sparklefizz Sun 12-Nov-23 19:47:25

Well, foregone conclusion that AR will be saved. Sigh.

TillyTrotter Sun 12-Nov-23 19:49:07

I think Krishnan will be leaving and he already knows it because he is up against Angela R.

Sara1954 Sun 12-Nov-23 19:49:42

Sparklefizz, I think you’re right, but I really hope you’re wrong.

TillyTrotter Sun 12-Nov-23 19:49:46

Poignant opening pro dance, and also Gio and Dianne dancing beautifully together. So many spins !!!

merlotgran Sun 12-Nov-23 19:50:12

Calendargirl I think it was pitched too low for a young girl’s voice and the harmonies didn’t really work. They are normally great together but not this time IMO.

I think Virginia looks like a young Nicola Benedetti.

rafichagran Sun 12-Nov-23 19:51:12

Andrea and Virginia were good, I liked them. Gio and Dianne were lovely too.

Lomo123 Sun 12-Nov-23 19:54:34

Bye Krishnan.

RosiesMaw Sun 12-Nov-23 19:55:08

Told you so!

TillyTrotter Sun 12-Nov-23 19:55:14

If only Krishnan could have bounced a bit more on his feet.
He seemed glued to the floor, but it’s a shame as he looked to have had all the moves correct.

Joseann Sun 12-Nov-23 19:56:51

Aaargh! Krishnan looked so happy and relaxed in his dancing. A big loss.

Sara1954 Sun 12-Nov-23 19:57:04

I’m really annoyed.

Lomo123 Sun 12-Nov-23 19:58:18

Gracious to the end Krishnan.

Calendargirl Sun 12-Nov-23 19:58:23

Why do I see Sheila Hancock (not Angela Rippon) when she is dancing?

Her doppelgänger?

Sparklefizz Sun 12-Nov-23 19:58:51

Me too Sara. AR nearly fell over at the end but this made no difference to the result. Sigh.

Sparklefizz Sun 12-Nov-23 19:59:19

Calendargirl

Why do I see Sheila Hancock (not Angela Rippon) when she is dancing?

Her doppelgänger?

Yessss! I was trying to think of who she reminded me of.

Lomo123 Sun 12-Nov-23 20:00:24

Angela could punch the judges in the face, fall over and break her leg and still go through.

Sparklefizz Sun 12-Nov-23 20:00:39

I'll start the new page as I see we're nearly full on this thread.

rafichagran Sun 12-Nov-23 20:02:34

I agreed with Shirley, I think the wrong one went. What a gracious man Krishnan was.
