Has anybody watched the 2nd series of 'The Traitors' on BBC1 / iPlayer tonight?

I really, really liked the 1st series last year - so much so that I also watched the US & Australian versions on iPlayer to ease withdrawal symptoms when it finished 😂.

Another obsession is about to start I think.......

The traitors voted for Ash as it looks like she could be going and when , in that case, she announced she was a traitor, it would throw suspicion away from them .

Sara1954 Mon 08-Jan-24 11:51:29

Chestnut, agree.
If Ash doesn’t go it will be extremely awkward!
But I agree, too early

Aveline Mon 08-Jan-24 12:34:14

I'm looking forward to the awkwardness!

Fancy playing along? There's a predictor game

Thanks Cressida, have made my predictions!

Love this programme, it's a long wait until Weds!

I have also made my predictions. Roll on Wednesday!

Saw on another thread someone describing it as cats in a bag. 😂😂😂

I was glued to it again last night on BBC1 (ep 4), so went to iplayer app after it finished, to binge more episodes - No future episodes available!
Have they stopped loading future episodes now?

Aveline Thu 11-Jan-24 13:13:11

Oh no. I was looking forward to bingeing the next few episodes.

Never mind the traitors/faithful, I’m watching it for Claudia’s jumpers!
I especially like the Johnstons of Elgin one - at £895 I might treat myself to two 🤣🤣🤣

Aveline Thu 11-Jan-24 13:34:32

I like that one too but wondered if it would be a bit scratchy. Unbelievable price too!

Farzanah Thu 11-Jan-24 13:40:04

I’m addicted. I know it’s probably heavily edited but it’s a great showcase of human nature.

Aveline Thu 11-Jan-24 13:49:17

I'd love to see that smug Paul getting his come uppance.

PestyOne Thu 11-Jan-24 14:40:19

If Paul was made of chocolate, he'd eat himself! An inflated sense of self-importance and superiority is not an endearing feature 🤣.

kittylester Thu 11-Jan-24 14:43:47

I quite like Paul - I don't think he is taking himself seriously really.

Farzanah Thu 11-Jan-24 15:23:31

He’s certainly a jolly good game player (ruthless) and if he’s really a nice guy he’s a good actor too, as I don’t think he’s really endearing himself to many viewers.

Parsley3 Thu 11-Jan-24 15:24:54

Oh yes, Paul is being overconfident just now and he was very put out at not being saved. I wonder if they will choose another traitor now.

BlueBelle Thu 11-Jan-24 15:58:40

Not too keen on Paul bit too cocky for me
If anyone watches the after show on bbc2 a wasnt Ash lovely and has the most infectious laugh seemed a generally nice person admits she didn’t play the game as well as she should have

Aveline Thu 11-Jan-24 16:04:26

I liked Ash and was sorry she was voted out. She'd have been better as a faithful. Might have suited her personality more.

No, Paul is taking himself very seriously. He is out to win. I said right at the start I disliked him because he had such a smug looking smile all the time. I can't understand why he is so popular!

Has anyone else noticed how much time he is given in the diary room? Some of the others are never seen or rarely seen. Something is going on there.

NotSpaghetti Fri 12-Jan-24 06:34:31

So true Chestnut.
I wish he had been voted out but seems unlikely.

Oreo Fri 12-Jan-24 08:56:07

I don’t think Paul will make it through to the end, one or two have noticed how calm and smug he’s being.Interesting how nobody suspects Tracey or Ross or Harry so far and I think that the two disabled contestants will go far in the game as psychologically nobody will want to cast aspersions on them.
They think Harry is young and a bit gormless so he may win!

Oreo Fri 12-Jan-24 08:58:21

I think Claudia is very good in this series, can’t stand her in anything else tho.
If only she would trim her fringe and ditch the orange make up.

PestyOne Sat 13-Jan-24 21:27:28

I'm intrigued that Diane is now doubting her Son's status - how come neither of them have asked the other this outright question when they're so direct with other aspersions and accusations?

Sara1954 Sat 13-Jan-24 21:42:51

Just caught up again, I’m enjoying it, but maybe not as much as the first series, maybe it’s a matter of knowing what to expect, and really I’m not keen on any of them, so I’m not so bothered who is voted out or murdered.
I shall keep watching though.

Farzanah Sun 14-Jan-24 10:49:46

I think Paul will make it through to the end Oreo. He is a very clever player and doesn’t seem to be on anyone’s radar apart from Jaz, who will surely be murdered as a result.
