Just started The Perfect Couple on Netflix , starring Nicole Kidman. I am finding it very watchable.

Just finished The Gilmore Girls on ITVX. Very long and zany series. Full of every interpretation of love and absolutely no physical violence. I've been very comforted and impressed by it.

I’ve just watched Daddy Issues with David Morrissey on BBC catchup. It’s very very rude but I loved it. My daughter has just binge watched it, too. It’s unusual to see him do comedy and it’s probably the standard of acting that makes it so good.

I am making my way through "Yellowstone" ( on Amazon Prime) and am very much a fan.
It includes very contempory issues like environmental issues head on as well as Cowboys and North American Indians who may have to join forces to battle againt their common enemy. developers who are only motivated by the chance to make lots of money with a new ski resort and airport.
In addition there are 2 prequels, 1883 and 1923.
The landscapes are truely magnificent and I am beginning to understand some American History.

Yes. I watched Yellowstone recently. I’ve got one of the prequels on dvd ( the one with Helen Mirren in); going to watch it next week. I like that actress who’s in Yellowstone…Kelly something or other ( she was in Britannia which I also loved till it went completely bonkers).

Over the last couple of evenings we’ve watched ‘Payback’ on ITV, six episodes.

It was really good, set in Edinburgh so some great scenery/sights.

Yes, me too, but I had to check it was definitely Nicole Kidman as she's had so much work done to her face.

Thank you.
I've just started series 2 of Colin from Accounts - first two episodes aren't as good as the first series though - keeping fingers crossed that it improves.

Have you watched 1923? I’m currently watching it on dvd but am really struggling ( in a way I never have before) with some of the accents, Jerome Flynn’s Scottish accent ( I had no idea it was meant to be Scottish) but mainly Alex’s ‘posh English accent’. I’m almost fascinated by it!

I haven't watched it, MayBee70 - sounds like it's not one for watching when tired! 😁

Not a series but a film we watched a week ago. Called ‘Kindling’ Get the hankies out. Sorry but I’m unsure if it was iplayer or Netflix. It was lovely

I’ve actually been watching it late at night. It’s only those two accents that I struggle with and it isn’t that I can’t understand what they’re saying, it’s just that the accents are so awful. I always have subtitles on anyway. I’ll probably buy 1883 ( at least Alex won’t be in it!).

Grrr. I’ve just finished watching season one of 2023 only to find it ends on a cliffhanger and season two won’t air till 2025. Then it will be ages before it’s released on dvd. At least I wasn’t so enamoured if it that I worry that I won’t be around to see it, which is what used to worry me about the Lord of the Rings films and Game of Thrones. I was amazed to learn how expensive it was to make.
