Johnnie Flynn and The River People are playing the folk stage on Saturday night. Lankum are playing earlier and I think The Mary Wallopers are on, too. Really looking forward to that: just hope they show the full set.

Kasabian were brilliant

It’s a pity Metallica are not there this year. Sorry, can’t abide Coldplay. 😵‍💫

I know what Tom did was awful but I do wish he was back in Kasabian. Much as I love Sergio the band isn’t quite the same without Tom. Tom played at the IOW and seemed very emotional about it.

I love Keane..

Street were great tonight. Cold Play went on too long tonight will catch up tomorrow - past my bedtime! Loved Keane yesterday. Wish George Ezra was there.

I’m not a Coldplay fan but once they started bringing other people onto the stage it really took off.

I,m not a Coldplay fan but that was a great show ,Chris Martin was brilliant,he held the crowd in the palm of his hand .

I thought so too, paddyann.

Watched with DS and DIL who are fans and that made it more enjoyable too.

Superb performance by Cold Play, if only one could bottle that joy and share it

Music is so powerful.

It’s good to watch bands you haven’t heard of, you might find one you really like.
For me it’s the Mary Wallopers, they absolutely smashed it.
Will be watching Shania, I went to see her back in the day, she was really good, be interesting to see what’s she’s like now.
I was disappointed with Dexys, think Kevin Rowland has lost his voice. But then again he is 70 🤣🤣🤣.

Not bothering to watch any of it this year either ,nobody id call famous .only one I even heard of was Coldplay but compared to Elton last year, paul McCartney the year before hardly a headliner.

Absolutely loved Cold Play. Saw them once in New Zealand, and would love to get to see them again. Such energy and warmth.

😯

Well Paul McCartney has but Elton hasn't.
Nor Tom Jones.

What??
Did I read that right?
Coldplay hardly a headliner? 😯

Coldplay were wonderful. What a showman Chris Martin is, with an amazing array of backing singers and musicians. So many anthems to get the crowd involved.
May not be as big a name as Elton John, but still in his prime, he can still hit all the notes, unlike some of th older stars.
Glad to be watching in the comfort of my living room though.

Lankum were wonderful. Johnny Flynn still isn’t on catchup. Having missed his set ( if they showed it that is) I’m beginning to panic that I won’t get to see it. Currently watching This is the Kit. Lowering the tone a bit but I’ve got a massive crush on PJ Harvey’s drummer Jean-Marc. I remember having a crush on him when she used to perform Let England Shake and he’s still in her band.

To me Glastonbury isn’t just about watching old favourites but discovering new bands and new genres of music. And a reminder that there are some really nice people in the world who want the same as we do. It reincarnates my inner hippie.

I can't praise Coldplay enough. They, especially Chris, were outstanding. They vibrated with music and joy and everything good. Wow.

I think that says more about how out of touch you must be with today's music than anything else.

Missed Coldplay, will watch later.
Loved Paul Heaton, who I've seen live many times since his Beautiful South days. Thought Dexys were excellent considering Kevin is nearly 71.
Just watching Seasick Steve, entertaining as ever.
Looking forward to Paloma Faith, another talented singer I've seen live, just hope we hear more of her wonderful singing than her political views this afternoon

Oh dear, somebody sort Shanias ear piece out!!

merlotgran Sun 30-Jun-24 16:21:50

She sounds like she’s staggering home from the pub!

Hiraeth Sun 30-Jun-24 16:26:17

Love watching Glastonbury watching the younger generation having such a good time ! Keane and Coldplay brilliant !

Whitewavemark2 Sun 30-Jun-24 17:09:57

Shania sang all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order😄😄😄.

But love watching everyone having such a brilliant time. I can remember that feeling - so long ago!
