Johnnie Flynn and The River People are playing the folk stage on Saturday night. Lankum are playing earlier and I think The Mary Wallopers are on, too. Really looking forward to that: just hope they show the full set.

I don't think this year's line up is quite as good as previous years but still good, and worth every penny if you are lucky enough to get Tickets.
I have missed a lot this year, so need to get onto iPlayer but have seen
Coldplay, Mary Wallopers, The Street, just watched Shinia agree something not right was it her mic?
I caught up with Jessie Ware while doing some post holiday ironing! She's good value, love to see her.
Will try for next year....

I missed her 😯

Will watch on catch up later.

And Cyndi Lauper, missed her too.

I watched Cyndi Lauper yesterday, I’m not being rude to her when I say it was bad, you could hardly hear her in some parts - I think there must have been a problem with the sound system.

Avril Lavigne - absolutely smashing it at Glastonbury, and doesn't seem to have aged at all.

I’m not very impressed with tonight’s headline act thus far.

Me neither!

I’ve switched off. Too boring.

D.A.N.C.E. on BBC4 very good.

Me neither!

The lyrics.’ I want to kill my ex. I’ve killed my ex’ Even dressing up as a butterfly (fairy?) with a beetle wandering around the stage didn’t relieve the boredom.

D.A.N.C.E. on BBC4 very good.

Song was called Dance. Band called Justice. Far better than SZA.

There have been a few very good sets, but overall this year quite disappointing, and the problems with the sound system didn't help.

Many years ago I was in Edinburgh for my cousin's wedding. Fabulous day, coming together of Wales and Scotland. The band heralding the lovely couple into the reception were the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. There was a chilli theme to the wedding. They played again at the evening do. We were overlooking Edinburgh castle as the sun went down and fires were lit on the ramparts. The Pipers were amazing and made it such a memorable day. It's great to know they're still going strong.

I managed to miss the whole lot!!
I saw a brief bit of cinema something or other, who I liked, last night. sad

I watched about an hour and a half last night and wasn’t impressed. Shania Twain was the best of a bad bunch. Amazing body and hair for a 58 year old. The sound was not good though.

After her were a few girls I had never heard of and were doing that kind of slow wailing they all do now. Not sufficiently interested to remember their names but to be honest any girl of their age could have done the same job.

They then did a big build up to Scissor so I was expecting a super performance but that was nothing special either.

She was dire. Justice, who were on another stage, were far better. They should have headlined imo. There are, however, lots of people on catchup thatI’ve never heard of that look interesting.

MissAdventure Mon 01-Jul-24 10:05:10

The woman who was headlining yesterday was not my cup of tea at all.

All the worse because I have subtitles on, so i could read the lyrics while she was straddling a robot man. grin

I'd been looking forward to Shania, but the sound system didn't do her any favours. Her voice seemed strained at times.

Me too. The lyrics were awful eg I wanna kill my ex. I’ve killed my ex. I had thought that, even if the music was boring the lyrics might be deep and meaningful but they were dire.

Haven’t seen any Glastonbury as you can’t access iPlayer abroad but I saw a very good review of Michael Kiwanuka’s set and Coldplay’s so will watch them in due course.
