Embarrassing ads

I really hate those adds especially when we get a close up of their backsides to show there's no leakage! Call me old fashioned but is nothing private anymore?

I'm not happy with a lot of adverts. We used to get really clever ads Carling Black Label, Cinzano with Leonard Rossiter and Joan Collins, R Whites lemonade, crazy Shake and Vac lady, Old Spice, Coca Cola and many, many more.

Today we seem to just have boring and unimaginative ads.

Tesco is dreadful, Curry's is horrendous, the bingo ads, ugh.

My least favourite at present is the young lady wearing next to nothing. I think it's for Dove, but there's no need for it. And the skating girl with the sanitary pads. Just ugh

Sky News Pollen Count when a young woman with large nostrils comes up to the camera and sneezes openly into it. It is disgusting and aren't we all told to trap germs in a handkerchief ? Even more so since Covid!
How advert appeal has degraded these last years. They're mainly about smells. I seems that Britons have smelly bedding, smelly lavatories, smelly clothes, smelly bodies, smelly houses and smelly pets. Yes the incontinence pads is obnoxious - when she says, "Im letting it all go!" I could vomit...but I'd better not, it could create a smell!
There is one that amuses me....when the guy asks for crypto currency to pay for potatoes and onions - always makes me laugh. And the webuyanycar dancers - they're fun.
But funeral plans...."when Tony passed"....grr, pass me the remote!

Yes, they are quite unsavoury some of them particularly,some woman sitting on the toilet something to do with periods and there’s one that’s come on quite recently about the “gush” and a certain type of ST will contain any sort of gush…

I agree with all of you. Nothing left to the imagination. Lots of unnecessary yuk, yuk, yuk.
I do love all the Specsaver ads. Very clever and always make me laugh.

Hate all the period and incontinence ones. These things are bad enough for women to have to suffer without making a drama of them. Especially the "gush" ones.

The ones where the "professional expert" wears a white coat to convince you of the latest statistics/development. No, its just another actor.

And this "boomerang smell" that someone has invented for freshly washed clothes ???? Just to con you into a certain washing powder.

Of course all those clever people who made such wonderful ads in the past have all died or retired, and we are left with the latest crop of new advertising graduates. Judging by what we get now they all seem to be teenagers on drugs.

I hate the Tesco one. “I got the power”. It’s awful ,and the pee pants , is she having a big long wee while doing yoga. !! Hate to be next to when she lets it all go ,, I can’t bear any period ads. Especially the type of flow. TMI.

I don't watch much TV - are there any ads for men 'gushing' in their 'Tena Men' pants? Those packs are on the shelf for a reason - men can also suffer from incontinence. But you wouldn't know it...

I also hate the Curry’s one ‘Laptop rage!’ where they all end up in a group hug.

Now the 'Laptop rage' one amuses me because it is funny, not prurient, and I empathise with the rage.

I saw an ad the other day where they were pouring red liquid on to a sanitary pad. Really, do we need to see that to know what happens? 50% of the audience KNOW what happens. Spare us please!!

I hate the ones when you can see them weeing when advertising flavoured drinks. Also, Women shaving up to their private parts advertising razors.

I hate the one that shows single parents having a good time.
I like the funny ones, the AA ad always makes me smile.

I have never seen a television advert for mens incontinence products and you are correct Dickens, men do suffer too.

Have you seen the latest Virgin ad. The walrus reminds me of Richard Branson, perhaps he has put on weight.

My pet ad hates are the man in the bath, funeral ad, the pee pants one, of course, and just about all the smell ones.

I don't particularly like ads, which often appear before the watershed, about erectile dysfunction.

I remember joking that I would pay not to have to watch the ads and now it turns out that this is an option.

My favourite is the walrus climbing onto a motor boat, starting it and sailing off into the distance. Ad for Virgin I think.
