I m sure it’s been said before but I hate these embarrassing ads. Pet hate at the moment is the lady peeing her pants at the yoga class. Yuk!

I've got the answer to all the dreadful ads....
I record EVERYTHING, NEVER watch anything at the time it's aired, then I can, and do, whiz through all the ads.
If I want to watch something at approximately it's airing time, I wait until 5-6mins after the start for 30min programmes, 10-12mins for hour-long ones, then play the recording (it continues to record as you watch), so then whiz through the ads, and finish watching the programme at approximately the same time as it finishes airing.
Simple really.

As mentioned above, that’s what I do!

Adverts have changed over the years, I think it is good that the younger generation are more open about things like periods, ED, menopause and incontinence but do agree the ads are OTT in their descriptions of it. If she needs to gush in a yoga class she needs to see about treatment.

There's nothing I fancy from the ads. Once seen that's it as far as I'm concerned. I get fed up with so much repetition of ads I tend to go to the loo whilst they're on or put the TV on hold before moving on to watch the programme I actually want to see!

I agree with all of these, I'm with the school that goes back to films panning to the window just as the couple climb into bed, you either know what's going to happen or you don't so either way it doesn't matter. Same with some of the ads. If you need incontinence pads etc you can see them in the shops as for pouring red liquid on one I had read a while back about maybe they were thinking of it and I thought no blue liquid is enough for me. And don't get me started on viagra another cringe maker! What's the matter with the good old fashioned adverts that amused please?

I don't mind the fact that the subjects are a bit blush making, but I can't stand cartoon-like characters, or talking animals on ads.

I love the Dove advert, showing normal women.

I was glad when period ads stopped using blue blood, that was ridiculous.

Who wants to see anyone sitting on the loo, give me the little puppy anytime or a big behind around a mans shoulder advertising pant liners, I will avoid those products.

I ever watch a commercial channel live, I always record programmes and ff the adverts.

Husband turns off the sound during adverts and it can be a wild guess what they are trying to sell . Especially regarding cars at times

Those adds where that silly woman says something about letting it all out. Also those pads supposedly allowing you to walk around happily with a load of wee on board. Unfortunately, I have to use a pad to,avoid sudden accidents and I can tell you they don’t work like the advert. Some help definitely but no way can you not change the pad

Sounds like a good game!

Just the words bulky pee pants makes me cringe!
I also detest those Haribo adverts with the silly voices.

Me too, especially the stress she puts on ‘pee’, though no doubt she was instructed to, just in case anyone didn’t get the message…

I mentioned in a pp that decorum was a thing of the past. If anyone mentioned such a lack now, what’s the betting they’d be accused of seriously old-fashioned prudishness? ‘Periods are nothing to be ashamed of!’ etc.

Personally I never thought they were, but that doesn’t mean we need fairly graphic TV ads about any bodily function.

Witzend I agree. And surely anyone with these problems would look into remedies themselves.
