Just got to have yet another thread for us to grumble about our favourite soap, warts and all.

grin

Ive just watched the latest episode. Max seemed to spill more petrol on his glove than he managed to get on the rag he pushed through the letterbox. What a good job he managed to wash it all off thoroughly before he struck the match, or he might have gone up like the wicker man.

I’m surprised no one knew it was him on the CCTV before the hoodie was identified. I did - I recognised his shambling walk and overlong trousers.

BlueBelle

Oh that awful police officer, that just could not happen The murderer would be handcuffed to the bed with two police officers and definitly not one woman
Carla s the most robust ‘kidney needed’ in the world and Swain wears those horrible sleeveless jumpers all the time I thought they went out years and year ago and she gets on my nerves.
So glad Bethany s gone, in the back of a car as usual, bye and don’t come back. didn’t like the character and never thought she was right for Daniel
Yes Shona clothes never change those jeans must be minging
So now we re
Stuart✔️
Gail✔️
Mason✔️
Bethany✔️
Who’s next Max? Daisy ? There’s supposed to be at least 12 going so 4 down whose next ?

Eileen, Yasmeen, Debbie, Daisy and Craig are all leaving.
Paddy Bever has already filmed his final scenes as Max, and left late last year.

Calendargirl Tue 11-Feb-25 12:24:43

Oh you naughty people!shock

The last few posts have contained ‘spoilers’ about who is leaving, and although I have read about them, plus future plot lines, this will upset some Corrie fans who somehow avoid seeing any gossip about such matters.

Not sure who will be left though.

Aveline Tue 11-Feb-25 12:27:42

Roy and Brian!

Chocolatelovinggran Tue 11-Feb-25 12:32:04

Aveline, Roy and Brian are two of my favourite characters!

Cabowich Tue 11-Feb-25 12:34:37

Huh! If Roy goes, I'm never watching Corrie again. I'm gutted that Daisy is going, too. She grew on me.

Charleygirl5 Tue 11-Feb-25 12:52:01

I think in real life Ken needs the money so I doubt if he will want to go anywhere.

As I said before, arson and home insurance are not happy bedfellows. I have no idea how David will pay for it unless he also jumps in the back of a taxi to "get away from it all". Who knows?

LovesBach Tue 11-Feb-25 14:55:40

I can't see how these are 'spoilers', as TV pages in newspapers have had articles about the characters leaving the show for weeks and months, and hopefully nobody on GN is living in the cupboard under the stairs trying to avoid any details. smile

Aveline Tue 11-Feb-25 15:27:40

I thought Doodledog especially asked for no spoilers

Doodledog Tue 11-Feb-25 18:03:57

Thanks Aveline. I don't live in a cupboard, but I don't read TV pages, and never click on anything to do with Corrie, as I really don't want to know what happens until it is happening.

Speculation is one thing, as is suggesting better other plotlines, but spoilers really do spoil it for me.

Dottydots Tue 11-Feb-25 18:50:28

Please, please, writers, producers, etc, can we have a bit of fun and laughter put back in Corrie.

BlueBelle Tue 11-Feb-25 18:54:31

Well mine wasn’t a spoiler I only named those that have ALREADY left I purposely didn’t say the ‘to be going ones’ so don’t put the heavies on me

Aveline Tue 11-Feb-25 19:02:02

Ooh I'll send Gary round! He's the hardest man in Corrie. Come to think of it he's not been seen for a while...

Charleygirl5 Tue 11-Feb-25 19:04:18

Dottydots I am unsure if they will hear your pleas, but I agree; I have seen enough prisons and police stations.

Maggiemaybe Tue 11-Feb-25 19:14:58

And spectral figures dripping blood. And hospitals with no wards, just single rooms always waiting for the latest Corrie casualty.

Calendargirl Tue 11-Feb-25 19:21:30

Last night’s episode was nearly all hospital and police station.

Doodledog Tue 11-Feb-25 21:06:51

BlueBelle

Who's put the heavies on you?

Beechnut Tue 11-Feb-25 23:01:59

I think the prison officer is gullible thinking her and Rob will be together.

Calendargirl Wed 12-Feb-25 07:19:21

The prison officer is another poor actor.

Her and Rob’s relationship looked as contrived as Carla and Lisa’s.

BlueBelle Wed 12-Feb-25 07:22:18

I m afraid I think the police office story is ludicrously stupid
Just to daft to bother with

Allsorts Wed 12-Feb-25 07:46:58

I keep watching it because I always have and hope vainly for the old majic, but it's gone. Is there one character you would
like in real life or want to be your partner, they are all loopy.
The storylines, all killings, deception and little joy. David looks dirty and unkempt I suppose they are wanting him to look rugged but it's not possible. Is anyone honest?

Grannynannywanny Wed 12-Feb-25 09:01:35

I’ve watched it faithfully for more decades than I care to remember. But sadly it feels like poor old Corrie has lost its way in the past year. Gangsters, criminal activity, murder, crooked police officers and prison officers. It’s more like The Bill than Corrie. I’ll continue to watch in the vain hope it might get back on track.

Aveline Wed 12-Feb-25 09:07:52

Only last month you were all applauding Corrie for the excellent episode of Mason's death.
I'm quite happy to keep viewing. The writers can't win - either the stories are too dramatic or they're too boring!

Maggiemaybe Wed 12-Feb-25 09:14:57

Well, Allira, as I said on here the other day, I think the dafter it gets, the more I enjoy it! I can’t see me ever giving up on my regular fix!

Maggiemaybe Wed 12-Feb-25 09:16:01

Oops, sorry, Aveline, not Allira. smile
