Time for the next thread.

Agree 100% BlueBelle - the Asha storyline is so unbelievable. ( It doesn’t help that Asha isn’t a very good actress )

Poor Hope. Now her storyline I can believe. Even though she’s always been a strong character, she’s a child.
Now growing up & seeing how awful the internet can be. 😔

Aveline

People do suddenly give way to deep depression though. Adhi leaving must have been very upsetting for her too and added to the pressure. She could have found the paramedic practical part combined with the university component just too much for her. She's had a complicated past too.

I agree with Aveline depression takes many forms and often seems to affect people who are usually strong. What one person can cope with easily can be an unsurmountable problem for another. Telling a depressed person to 'get a grip' is definitely not helpful.

Calendargirl Sat 18-Oct-25 10:03:55

Asha did have a troubled past. Didn’t she move in with an unsuitable boyfriend when quite young, then decide she was a lesbian alongside Nina? And didn’t she self harm after those nude photos were on the internet?

I’m surprised Dev hasn’t suggested she goes for a holiday to India, to meet up with his family and more importantly, to be with her twin, Aadi, again.

He (Dev) was keen enough to ship Aadi off at the first hint of problems.

As for Bernie suddenly becoming the soul of wisdom, calm, empathy…..😳 really?

Kandinsky Sat 18-Oct-25 11:50:18

Oh of course - but Asha’s depression seems to be all because of that woman who was horrible to her, I mean they must expect a bit of abuse when dealing with drunk idiots?
And as you say, she’s been through worse.
I don’t know, it just seems like a really rushed storyline. Asha isn’t playing it well either.

sodapop Sat 18-Oct-25 12:40:24

I think Asha's problems have been a while in the making Kandinsky the abuse she had was just the final straw, a hook to hang her problems on if you like.

Aveline Sat 18-Oct-25 12:41:18

I agree. A last straw incident. Her story rings true for me. Sad.

Didn't we just know Todd would say, 'Wait." "Don't go."

The look on Carl's face was great to see. What happened to the people he owes money to. They are being very patient.

Calendargirl Tue 21-Oct-25 09:33:21

Oh, let’s just hope Becky does return to Spain, and hopefully take Betsy with her.

Seeing as Dev has blabbed to the world and his wife about Asha, it’s a bit late now to be hoping people won’t mention it.

What does he expect, sitting snivelling away in the Rovers?

The funeral parlour must be having its first spring clean for many years. You never saw George or Todd hoovering or dusting, but since Christina has been given the job, she is always there, apron on, dusting and polishing the same bit of furniture. 🧹🧽🪣

I think George and Christina make a great double act. I can't focus on anything but Becky's dreadful haircut when she is on screen. Sarah remembered Harry existed yesterday.

Sarnia Tue 21-Oct-25 16:21:18

Finally, a good chuckle when George said he had a stiffy. He meant an award for his undertaking skills but it was a brief glimpse of how humorous Corrie used to be. Whoever wrote that scene please give them more to write. There may be hope for Corrie yet.

Beechnut Tue 21-Oct-25 18:28:16

Anyone know what Bertie looks like these days?

Miraculously he was as tall as his mother - either he has grown about eight inches since his last appearance, or he has yet another head.

Calendargirl Wed 22-Oct-25 06:53:52

It’s another Harry.

I just knew Theo was going to either pour or throw that open bottle of milk over Todd.

Charleygirl5 Fri 24-Oct-25 21:24:20

Todd is unsafe living under the same roof as Theo because one never knows what he will do next. It is a matter of time before he physically harms Todd.

Same here! The actor who plays Todd deserves an award for his acting. He looks absolutely terrified.

Grannynannywanny Fri 24-Oct-25 22:09:05

Poor Todd. He’s a nervous wreck thanks to the vile Theo. I’m worried he’s going to retaliate in self defence and do serious harm to Theo. Then he’ll be the one in trouble.

Lovetopaint037 Sat 25-Oct-25 00:32:55

Todd the actor is brilliant. This story line has really allowed him to show how good he is.

BlueBelle Sat 25-Oct-25 07:45:44

Personally I thought Theo was an awful actor when he first arrived but I think he’s warmed up to playing a baddy and the fact that you all dislike him so much says he’s doing it well

I thought the scene where Olly saved the bag from the bag snatcher was dire What was that all about ?

Harry has changed actors about three times lately do they think we won’t notice they don’t even seem to try to find a similar looking child

Is Dorian staying with daddy permanently ? I thought it was only for a short stay?? Where s his mum she doesn’t even visit

Ohmother Sat 25-Oct-25 08:53:24

The bag snatch hero story was to demonstrate how useless Ty’ felt sat in that wheelchair.

Crossstitchfan Sat 25-Oct-25 11:44:37

I watch every episode but don’t remember the bag- snatch story! What did I miss? Who lost their bag?

Kate1949 Sat 25-Oct-25 11:53:00

Fizz's bag. It was last night's episode.

sodapop Sat 25-Oct-25 12:16:39

It did feel a bit like they were trying to cram in all the 'don'ts' about interaction with people who have a disability.
Theo is quite scary now and Todd is playing his part to perfection, must resonate with all the people in a similar situation.
However I am beginning to feel a bit preached at by Corrie, time for a lighter touch now.

Aveline Sat 25-Oct-25 12:18:32

Looking forward to the new family moving in to the Rovers. Next week I think?

nanaK54 Sat 25-Oct-25 16:14:24

Have only just caught up, poor Todd, I can't bear it, but so well done. sad
