First cousin once removed rather.
I vaguely knew there was some connection, and you have sorted it out for me, Kate1949 so thanks.
.
She's really good, Christina I mean.
Anyone who can stand living with Theo deserves a medal.
I'm worried about Todd.
Billy has never done any vicaring or archdeaconing. He just wanders round the street in different coloured vicar's shirts and popping into the Rovers the Bistro or the cafe.Great life.
It seems the producers all of a sudden decided it would be fun to have a vicar as a character, but never put any research into it.
My father used to say, humorously, that he should have been a priest as they only work on Sundays, Billy does not even work on a Sunday.
What on earth were those outfits made by Betsy supposed to be?

Who knows, but she is apparently a budding Givenchy or some other famous designer.
Bit of a jump from sewing in a knicker factory.
Becky is awful.
I doubt anyone knows, ridiculous storyline, yes Becky s awful
In fact I find that whole story line too ridiculous although I ve always liked Betsy and think she’s a fine little actress
I find as a life long Corrie fan, I kinda watch while doing other things so whilst I ve obviously not given up I m far less invested, I don’t really enjoy it like I did
Did anyone notice Carl’s eyes light up when Tracy mentioned divorce settlements to Abi?
Having failed to make money from the MOT scam, Carl is no doubt anticipating a half share of the house and business (poor Kev!) He has unloaded Abi and Alfie onto Roy, and has no interest in her child.

I did! Abbie will rue the day she fell for him.
daft Todd taking the ghastly Theo back. 😥
I’m afraid I loathe both Betsy and Becky. I hate the way Betsy speaks, the way her mouth hangs open - to be honest, everything about her. I have to fast-forward her scenes.
I have also been watching Classic Corrie. Oh, the difference in the storyline quality is palpable. Corrie as it used to be, so much better than now.
I saw a little smile on Theo's face. He knows exactly what he is doing.
Carl would love to get his hands on Kevin and Abi's money and then we wouldn't see him for dust.
As if Roy would put Abi and Alfie up!
On a blow up bed in the sitting room from the sound of it.
I assume he and the niece have their own rooms.
Of course, he used to have Carla and Evelyn lodging there, I suppose, oh and did Lauren move in at one stage?
Where are Lauren and Frankie anyhow? Haven’t seen them for a while.
I have just returned from holiday and I always looked forward to catching up with the Corrie episodes I have missed. I couldn't be bothered this time and after watching yesterday's drivel I might give it up all together.
Nothing makes any sense or have any flow. So many daft errors in continuity and storylines that make no sense. The characters seem to under go complete personality changes.

As Theo was heading for the door I was saying ‘Don’t give in Todd’. He clearly couldn’t hear me ☹️

Same here. The first time I haven't bothered catching up when I have been on holiday. Those missed episodes will only be full of the boring Todd/Theo and Lisa/Becky/Carla/Betsy storylines.
The current scriptwriters are hopeless and ruining the Corrie I used to enjoy so much.
Can’t stand that great lock of hair hanging over Theo’s forehead.
Betsy’s great masterpiece of a dress design is as ridiculous as the script - perhaps even worse.
Hope Becky departs pretty soon.
I admire Todd’s acting although his look of anguish could well be generated from the script he has to act out.
Anyone else becoming bored with Asha's self pity and snapping at everyone who tries to help her?
I m becoming bored of it all Granycool I realise I m not nearly as involved with it as I used to be
I think Corrie (which, until now, I had loved since the very first episode) is dying a death.
I can sum it up by saying it is filled with dislikable people, unlikely relationships, and unbelievably boring situations.
I have no idea if anything can revive this car crash, but I think the rot really set in when they introduced slimy, creepy Theo into the mix. There is dislikable, and there’s unbearable. He makes my flesh crawl - he is yuk! The awful thing is, I get the feeling he is actually playing himself, and that what you see is what he really is like. I feel sorry for his family if that’s the case.
Please, please, please, can someone who can actually write come along and save our beloved Corrie before it suffers the fate of Eldorado and the like.
I would be heartbroken if it died a death due to the ineptitude of people like Theo. Unfortunately, it often only takes one rubbish actor to kill a series.

Yes, I am! When you think back to how efficient and ‘together’ she used to be, I can’t see how she can turn into the wreck she is now. I don’t really recall what happened to upset her, but have the feeling it was a racist comment. The stupid girl needs to get a backbone. I am not condoning racist comments but my point is that a girl with her education, and a very demanding career as a paramedic should have been able to handle such a comment, which would have been covered on her training, I am sure. It can’t have been the first time she has heard these abusive insults and she really should see them for what they are - rubbish, normally doled out by people who are frightened or guilty. As a retired Border Force officer, I could tell her a few things about such abuse, having suffered it myself. (Lesbian cow, anyone??) but it says far more about the abuser than it does about the recipient. Such people are not worth getting one’s knickers in a twist about!
Have people never heard the saying, ‘sticks and stones may hurt my bones but words will never hurt me’?
Well I still like Corrie.
But I must admit feel like shaking Asha at the moment.
I feel for the character of Asha. She is suffering mentally.
I'm sorry for Asha too. Poor Dev trying to smother her is so understandable but irritating. Poor girl. She is unwell. Mental ill health is not something to snap out of.
Well she snapped into it Avaline she was always strong and in charge, saving lives before she d even finished training!
I too don’t think her character would have crumbled in this way I think the writing team have condensed which might have happened over months or years into a couple of episodes which makes it rather farcical
People do suddenly give way to deep depression though. Adhi leaving must have been very upsetting for her too and added to the pressure. She could have found the paramedic practical part combined with the university component just too much for her. She's had a complicated past too.
