Time for the next thread.

Calendargirl Wed 05-Nov-25 20:30:06

Why does Debbie need to eat breakfast in Roy’s Rolls when she owns a hotel? 🤷‍♀️

See Maggie is wearing a poppy dress. Nice touch for Remembrance.

When young Will finally turned up and chatted to Lily I thought they were likely to pair up. But as soon as his coach appeared on the scene it was obvious she was going to be an unsavoury twist to the tale. He’s only 15.

Clawdy

Not seen any real spoilers on this thread though? Unless I missed one.

No, I didn't say there were. I was commenting on spoilers in general, and pointing out that there are ways to allow discussions of upcoming posts without spoiling them for those who don't want to see them.

What happened to Tim’s storyline about him having under age sex in the past with that woman who was a random passenger in his cab, and then stalked him?

It seems to have died a death, thank goodness.

No doubt to be resurrected at a future date though.

vegansrock Thu 06-Nov-25 07:04:00

I think they’ll link Tim’s past with this new relationship - Tim will have an epiphany and realise he was groomed.

BlueBelle Thu 06-Nov-25 07:12:51

Oh dear that meeting in the alleyway was a bit much so where was he for the few days missing and why didn’t he just come home less suspicion on him then he could have secured his passport and then gone missing with the coach I just don’t think this part has been worked out well
However I do fall asleep a lot or pay less attention so I might have missed something
I used to really look forward to the nights Corrie was on

I think Cassie is doing well I ve certainly warned to her as an actress not the character so much
I forgot Lily had had a transformation and was thinking whos that ?

Maggiemaybe Thu 06-Nov-25 08:05:03

Lucas will have been with the coach while he was supposedly missing, BlueBelle. All that about her finding him sleeping in the changing rooms would be just their cover story.

The Will actor, Lucas Hodgson-Wale, looks familiar to me, but it seems that this is his first role.

As if the sainted Dr Gaddas would have given Ken his flu jab when he’s feeling so ill! Is she trying to finish him off?

Charleygirl5 Thu 06-Nov-25 08:54:18

Maggiemaybe what else has she to do? You can be seen at that surgery so easily. Maybe my GPs could pick up tips on time management.

Joe Public with fever, chills and a cough … take paracetamol, fluids and rest. If cough lingers for 4 weeks seek GP advice.

Coronation St resident with fever, chills and a cough… phone health centre immediately and secure an emergency appointment for 2 hours later and be given flu vaccine despite symptoms 🙄

Calendargirl Thu 06-Nov-25 09:02:58

Well, I was expecting Ken to be blue lighted to Weathy General, no less.

But then he turned up in his pullover, ready for his eggy butty or whatever.

Drama over.

Bukkie Thu 06-Nov-25 10:34:35

I thought the slanging matches between Traceyluv and Cassie were funny and well acted. Reminded me of the good old days with Elsie Tanner, Gail and Eileen etc... When Cassie drained the teapot I laughed our loud.

Grannynannywanny Thu 06-Nov-25 10:47:15

I agree Bukkie. It’s taken me rather a long time but I’ve recently warmed to Cassie. I enjoyed the scene between Cassie and Tracey. Cassie is on the ball when it comes to Tracey’s conniving ways. They’re 2 of a kind.

Calendargirl Thu 06-Nov-25 11:39:19

Why did Cassie not go off to Spain with Stevie boy?

Would have been the ideal opportunity to meet his twin Andy and probably his mum Liz, who I assume is supposedly living there.

In fact, if only Lisa, Carla, Becky and Betsy go there as well, we could have a whole episode devoted to Espana.

(Can silly Betsy not see that Becky doesn’t want Carla to go to Spain, just Lisa?)

Crossstitchfan Sat 08-Nov-25 11:15:14

I think it’s getting boring now. Also, the awful Betsy and her stupid face-pulls and squeaky drawly voice make me want to slap her!
Are the Corrie writers deliberately trying to introduce as many dislikable characters as possible? They also seem to be making some of the regulars a bit annoying/boring/
unnecessary.
I have never watched a drama that makes me so irritated by what is said and done, especially as storylines take so long to get anywhere.

Calendargirl Sat 08-Nov-25 13:51:22

So it looks as though the dreadful ‘Becky-back-from-the-dead’ is setting her sights on Costello’s young daughter.

Please, just let Becky and her equally irritating daughter Betsy clear off to Spain.

As for Carla and Lisa looking at ridiculous wedding dresses….

Seeing as Carla has been married I don’t know how many times, and Lisa would be a bigamist, just keep living together, please.

No big fancy wedding needed.

Serious question - why do you watch it?

Carla will want a black wedding dress. It’s the only colour she ever wears.

I do wish Betsy would stop behaving like a 13 year old! She's 18 and acting like an adolescent.

Aveline Mon 10-Nov-25 21:27:27

It's a ridiculous storyline and it's gone on too long. Just go away Becky.
Meanwhile, poor Fiz. Tyrone is being very realistically feckless!

I have watched Corrie on and off since it first started but I have been very disinterested in the storylines lately and there are very few likeable characters. Last night I used the hour it was on to watch The Morning Show on Apple TV which is much more interesting and I don’t think I’ll be going back to Corrie.

Grannynannywanny Tue 11-Nov-25 07:30:26

I’ve enjoyed the arrival of the new family in the Rovers. Especially Eva’s mother in law Maggie. I’m finding them a refreshing change from all the other storylines that have been drifting round in circles for months.

I wish they’d bring the boring and ridiculous saga of Lisa/Carla/Becky to some kind of conclusion.

I wonder why after donkeys years of no mention or obvious sign that Jack is an amputee they’ve suddenly referred to it and he’s gone off to a football training camp catering for his disability.

Has any pregnant soap character ever had a drama free ultrasound scan? Poor Shona. She has enough on her plate coping with childish David. Presumably more doom and gloom on the horizon.

Calendargirl Tue 11-Nov-25 09:23:58

Haven’t seen much of Lauren lately, but she turned up last night with a new hairstyle and make up, looked quite pretty.

Obviously upping her game now Eve is in charge.

Little Frankie must be much better, he and his ailments never get a mention.

Where do they live now, seeing as she was able to vacate her flat ‘in the precinct’ for Abi and awful Carl.

Didn’t realise Kev is now a podiatrist.

🦶

Primrose53 Tue 11-Nov-25 11:32:30

I am not warming to the new landlords at the pub. The husband is a bit wooden, Eva is just like a younger Bet Lynch showing off her boobs all the time and although I adored Mrs Doyle in Father Ted, I find the new MIL not right for the part.

Does anybody know why the husband has two mixed race kids? Eva’s small daughter is a precocious little madam.

Calendargirl Tue 11-Nov-25 12:14:14

I suppose his wife/partner (their mother) must have been a woman of colour.

No doubt she will pop up in future story lines to throw a cat among the pigeons.

He and Eva are now a couple, but his mother doesn’t seem too struck on his choice.

Sarnia Tue 11-Nov-25 14:33:57

Unless things have changed since I retired from a Maternity unit, there is no way last night's scan scene would happen.
Should a midwife spot something concerning they would go and find a more senior midwife or obstetrician to confirm or discount anything untoward on the scan. Last night's stab at 'reality' has a midwife telling Shona and David she has seen a mass on the baby. It would never have happened like that a few years ago and I sincerely hope it doesn't happen like that now.
