The Odyssey film

I loved this book at school and I hear the film has got excellent reviews, however it is 3 hours long !

Also there was a comment that one of the actors was hard to hear. I have a hearing problem and can’t cope with mumblers.

No doubt I will still go. Anyone here seen the film yet ?

I have been studying The Odyssey , the Mendelssohn translation, not the Emily Wilson, on a 10 week course and am fully prepared to be disappointed!

Mary Beards article and review in yesterdays Times is both informative and favourable of it but heads her article

I've read 5 star reviews, one in the Guardian and I think in the ST. I'm contemplating seeing the film next week when we're back home. I saw a trailer a while back with all the best bits!
