Am I allowed a rather late hot bath?

Anne58 Thu 13-Feb-14 12:40:48

Well I never!

Just had a call inviting me to the second stage interview! shock

Bellasnana Thu 13-Feb-14 12:45:11

Hurray! Well done that girl! You need to believe in yourself more. Good luck with the next one and think positive flowers

whenim64 Thu 13-Feb-14 12:50:00

Great news, Phoenix smile

Anne58 Thu 13-Feb-14 12:52:55

Perhaps they want to see what else I can cock up! grin

glammanana Thu 13-Feb-14 12:54:39

Phoenix fab news !! go Phoenix go grin

Anne58 Thu 13-Feb-14 12:56:25

Permission to jump up and down a bit and do the happy dance?

Dragonfly1 Thu 13-Feb-14 13:30:49

Permission very willingly given. Well done!

Charleygirl Thu 13-Feb-14 14:32:11

Mr. P will be delighted to hear that news when he comes home from work this evening.

As I said previously you were probably not the only one to cock it up.

When is this interview? I am a mine of useless information and I will remember the date and time if you need a reminder. You thought that Wednesday's interview was on Tuesday if you remember.

Are you "on the books" yet for the present place?

Anne58 Thu 13-Feb-14 15:10:14

Not on the books yet, Charleygirl, thank heavens!

I have emailed Mr P, he's pleased for me, but I know that he thinks the salary is on the low side, which to be honest it is, but I think I would be happy working there. IF I get selected.

Charleygirl Thu 13-Feb-14 15:32:09

If you are selected, is there more chance of promotion and therefore a pay rise with the new job?

mollie Thu 13-Feb-14 15:32:18

Congratulations on getting to stage two! When will that be? Well done!

whitewave Thu 13-Feb-14 15:34:10

Well done! you will rise to the challenge (get it?!)

Anne58 Thu 13-Feb-14 15:40:28

Next Tuesday, 10am.

Not sure about promotion or pay rise, but the senior chap said they take care never to lose good people!

whitewave that's the reason for my user name, I always try to rise from the ashes! (Sometimes get my tail feathers singed though!)

Charleygirl Thu 13-Feb-14 16:01:26

Is this job secretarial as opposed to housekeeping? Will it stretch your brains?

Anne58 Thu 13-Feb-14 16:07:17

The job title is Customer Service / Sales Administrator, no mention whatsoever of cleaning grin I do think however that there is a requirement to muck in on occasions. While I was in reception 2 very jolly ladies were wrapping glasses in tissue paper to help get the order ready for delivery.

Charleygirl Thu 13-Feb-14 16:48:33

I do hope that other candidates are 16 year olds with no experience of any work.

Anne58 Thu 13-Feb-14 16:50:06

Can't remember if I'd already said that the job is at Dartington Crystal.

Mishap Thu 13-Feb-14 16:50:39

Good luck - that's great news.

Anne58 Thu 13-Feb-14 16:51:35

I'd sent the rather "toned down" version of my CV, but when doing the talking bit I mentioned that I had presented at Head of Department level to Harrods, blush Rob and I then got talking about what an odd company they are to deal with.

kittylester Thu 13-Feb-14 17:12:48

Ok phoenix you need to get this job as I would quite enjoy any staff discount you might be able to wangle. I love Dartington especially their range called 'Bar' or something. The lines are so modern but also timeless. Brilliant!! Permission for me to jump up and down please!!

Seriously, well done you! So pleased for you. winewine in Dartington glasses obviously! grin

Anne58 Thu 13-Feb-14 17:25:22

kitty permission given! grin

kittylester Thu 13-Feb-14 17:32:40

Ok, thanks, pass me the tena lady!! grin

Anne58 Thu 13-Feb-14 17:46:16

grin

Kitty, your use of the phrase "THE Tena Lady" sort of implies that there is just one communal one that we all share!
