Susan Patterson has dreamed of writing a children's book since she received her master of fine art degree at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Big Words for Little Geniuses is her first book with her husband, James Patterson.

James Patterson is the bestselling author of the highly-praised Middle School books, Jacky Ha-Ha, Word of Mouse, and the I Funny, House of Robots, Treasure Hunters and Daniel X series. He has been the most borrowed author in UK libraries for the past 10 years in a row and he has previously sponsored the World Book Day Award, giving schools the chance to win a share of £50,000 for their library. He has also donated £500,000 to UK independent book shops in partnership with The Bookseller’s Association, funding everything from new carpets and shelves to innovative schemes to get children reading.

Hsinping Pan is an animator and illustrator from Taiwan. She received her master's degree at University of Southern California in Animation and Digital Arts.
