I was thinking recently about my favourite heart-throbs over the decades.
Also which actors/celebrities actually turned me off !
My heartthrobs are :
George Clooney (just think of the Nespresso ad!)
Aidan Turner (imagine Poldark)
Tom Hiddleston (remember The Night Manager)

My absolute turn off would be ... Arnold Swarznegger
So come on GN's ....three hearthrobs and one turn off.

Rufus Sewell was certainly attractive ten years ago, not so much now ( says she,ten years older now herself!) ?
I used to like the actor Damien Day Lewis, haven't seen him for a while.
I like actors who look as if they are intelligent, sensitive ( up to a point) good looking in an interesting way but not beefy, musclemen.

I don't normally just after other men but if I had to it would be Andrew Lincoln . Lately known for being in the zombie show called living dead or something but I know him from earlier things . First one I saw him in was with Lesley Sharpe , both he and she were shrinks and she was ghosts or something I seem to remember . I only watched it for him
Another like is Robson Greene

Dislikes .
David Tennant
Richard Madeley

I could never understand the fascination with Gerard Depardieu (or however its spelled!)

Heart throbs:

Denzil Washington
Alan Rickman rough or not
Clint Eastwood in his younger days

MissAdventure Tue 12-Sep-17 22:46:04

Yep. I've always liked men that make me laugh, even if I end up laughing on the other side of my face. (Another mum saying!)

Jomarie Tue 12-Sep-17 22:46:25

Turn ons - back in the day

Paul Newman
Steve McQueen

Even older - Clark Gable !!

More recently:
Robbie Williams (I don't understand it either!!)

Dislikes:
So many - Jeremy Vine
Jeremy Clarkson

This list is fairly endless but those are my top ones to date

Interesting post - it certainly shows up the age range of the Grans !!!

Jomarie Tue 12-Sep-17 23:00:10

Just remembered :

Robert Shaw (he was in lots of films including Jaws I believe - plus played German soldiers frequently because of his blond hair blue eyes and gorgeous figure) he was a good actor to boot !!!

Also one more for the dislike list
Ricky Tomlinson

MissAdventure Tue 12-Sep-17 23:08:20

I think Ray Winston is my ultimate pin up!

MissAdventure Tue 12-Sep-17 23:11:14

I'm off to Google Lord M. He's had too many mentions not to.

Jomarie Tue 12-Sep-17 23:22:49

Petra - you me and my sister Kate - that's three of us - might there be more? Dare I say it - could we be the start of an anti Jeremy club? Not to do him any harm but just to put him in his place say - back in reception ?? Or am I just evil??
