Why do current gardening programmes insist on encouraging things like building garden bars?

And house programmes encourage televisions on walls which are on the party wall and hot tubs etc?

Okay if you don’t live in the standard homes in UK. Moan over.

And why don’t garden builders and garden planners really know what a small garden is?

Well, 3nanny6 thank you for the explanation- I’m sorry to say I’m still a bit uncertain however if it’s like a mini-drive then it’s obviously just hers and I too would look at some attractive pots (if you are able to treat her and she’s ok with that.

If the parking is more “along the mini estate road” but in front of her house (think streets of conventional terraces), I expect it’s not actually part of her tenancy- albeit annoying - and there may not be any “rights” over this space.

I think I’d find out just how much it bothers her, and if it doesn’t I’d just grit my teeth. If she is bothered I’d check with her landlord (if the tenancy agreement is unclear) before putting pots in - as you need to know 100% that it’s her space to use as she wishes.

Good luck. I can see whichever pertains it can be irritating!

Thank-you NotSpaghetti, like I say it is a row of 8 homes
but not "along the mini estate road" I see the row of homes and each person uses the space outside the front of their own home as most of them have at least one car.
My DD does not drive and is not too interested in that perhaps she may learn later on.

I am just going to grit my teeth and if the neighbour parks there then I shall just ignore it. I am going to discuss the pots with my daughter and if she wants them I do not mind treating her. I am not sure if spending the money on them is worth it as the neighbours young boys are always out kicking balls and the pots could get damaged which of course would irritate me.

If you do buy pots, maybe spiky ones!
