Baby rape

I really didn't know which subject to post this under.
What on earth can we think of someone who rapes a rwo week old baby.
The child is reportably fighting for it's life.
Is this a result of violent video games or whatever is happening to society?

annsixty Sat 06-Oct-18 09:23:41

Two not rwo.

Chewbacca Sat 06-Oct-18 09:39:58

I read a little about this yesterday annsixty but I'm afraid I had to stop because it upset me so much. Stomach churning reading that I just couldn't bear to continue.

BlueBelle Sat 06-Oct-18 09:49:26

Nothing to do with video games at all unhappily this is not a new thing at all maybe you haven’t heard about it before but unfortunately some men are just unforgivable in their actions

ninathenana Sat 06-Oct-18 09:58:28

Any male that could do such a thing...

I started to post begining with that sentence but am now at a loss as to how to complete it angrysad

seacliff Sat 06-Oct-18 09:59:12

I couldn't read about it. My first thought was he should have it cut off, so he could never do this again.

FarNorth Sat 06-Oct-18 10:00:45

That is so vile. Has the disgusting creature been sentenced?

FlexibleFriend Sat 06-Oct-18 10:09:20

That would be a very weird video game indeed, No he's just a sick individual.

annsixty Sat 06-Oct-18 10:49:03

Perhaps porn was what I meant, the worst sort of porn.

MawBroon Sat 06-Oct-18 11:02:51

Isn’t it awful that it is not possible to “unthink” the unthinkable?
For once the rough justice of prison life seems mild.

MissAdventure Sat 06-Oct-18 11:05:41

I think the death sentence would be appropriate for the creature who did this.
The rest of my thoughts about it are probably best left unsaid and unwritten.

M0nica Sat 06-Oct-18 11:43:03

It is wide spread in geography and time. Just so horrifying we cannot even bear to think about it, let alone talk about it.

BBbevan Sat 06-Oct-18 15:01:47

ninathenana I will complete it for you. .....should have his bits CHOOPED off !!!

BBbevan Sat 06-Oct-18 15:02:33

Sorry I am angry. Chopped off

Anniebach Sat 06-Oct-18 15:03:05

A lot of injuries can take place by hand

Katek Sat 06-Oct-18 15:28:45

Yes, of the ‘I slipped in the shower’ variety. I hope he never has another peaceful night (wherever he ends up) and spends the rest of his life looking over his shoulder.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 06-Oct-18 16:11:59

No words !!!!

Nannylovesshopping Sat 06-Oct-18 16:23:29

Saw the headline and just couldn’t read any more, I’d like five minutes with him alone and a meat cleaver

I live in the general area of the hospital where baby was taken. The local police have a Facebook site (lots of them do). It is generally kept light hearted i.e. Watch out for frost....watch your speed.... Lock up your property, we 're at the ????? come and say hello......

Such a different tone in their FB page yesterday. They asked posters to be careful in what they say and post, that it is important that the prosecution cannot say that the accused is unable to get a fair trial.

People are very upset and very angry.
Poor poor baby.

DH brought this to my attention this morning. Such depravity is beyond the normal human mind to comprehend. Like Ann my first thought was that the only thing that could prompt someone to do such a thing would be a constant access to the worst kind of porn; maybe the kind you read about people finding on the so-called “dark net”. But to see it is one thing; to do it is unthinkable.

MissAdventure Sat 06-Oct-18 17:00:26

Well, to access the dark net takes knowledge, so someone would be unlikely to just come across it without going looking.

Blinko Sat 06-Oct-18 17:03:27

This is beyond comprehension, less than human, beneath contempt. What kind of justice could possibly fit the crime. Hideous.

PamelaJ1 Sat 06-Oct-18 17:20:52

I hadn’t heard of this heinous atrocity.
I didn’t want to click on to this thread because I knew I wasn’t going to like it.
I will now be trying not to read any more.
Why isn’t there an island where we can put these monsters.
Poor poor little mite.
What horror for her parents.

It is unthinkable but the sexual abuse, including rape of infants and toddlers has been reported throughout time. The alleged perpetrator is remanded in isolation to avoid other prisoners attacking him.
It's beyond my comprehension of course but its a fact that some people, mainly men, find infants and toddlers sexually attractive. Pedophiles often, but not always, are attracted to a particular age or gender of child. The rape of babies is so distressing, I feel for those charged with investigating the crime and caring for the baby, as well of course as for the baby's loved ones.
I can't believe that easy access to extreme pornography doesn't add to the extent of crimes against children.

I remember a similar case long before the advent of video games, as I must have been 14 at the time.

I believe a policeman was in trouble for having punched the man responsible. A dear friend of my mother's remarked that the man could be thankful the police got to him before the women in the street he lived in did!

I too wonder if pornography does have at least the effect that some people are willing to think about such surely unnatural behaviour as rape (especially of children)?

I do know that one of the arguments for allowing the free publishing and sale of porn was that it would minimise sexual abuse - it may have done so to start off with, but I doubt it. Perhaps, to quote my (and no doubt others' grannies) it puts ideas into peoples' heads that don't come there naturally.
