I wish I had a Phillip in my life . Lucky Theresa

TwiceAsNice Wed 24-Jul-19 14:33:30

Hi Annie what’s so special about Philip May? I don’t think there’s a man alive who would make me risk having a relationship again. Hope you’re doing ok?

Luckygirl Wed 24-Jul-19 15:10:41

I wish too - he is rolling in it!!! He can come and pay for my OH's care!

dragonfly46 Wed 24-Jul-19 15:12:44

He owns a lot of properties in Westminster which he lets out. He does look kind though and I hear good reports from those who have had dealings with him.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 24-Jul-19 15:13:02

Anniebach having a supportive partner is invaluable I agree.

kittylester Wed 24-Jul-19 15:21:33

What gg said.

I'm sorry you lost yours Annie.

Anniebach Wed 24-Jul-19 16:31:15

Watching her making her speech today, she has been criticised, ridiculed, mocked, publicly , been stabbed in the back and the front. She must have so many emotions but as
always kept her dignity.

Now it’s all over but through it all she has had her Phillip supporting her. Made me think ‘I wish I had a Phillip’, to have someone there through good and bad times must make such a difference.

Money has nothing to do with it.

Justme67 Wed 24-Jul-19 16:53:59

Absolutely Anniebach, I doubt for one moment she went home and cried her eyes out, but I bet she went home to a lovely pair of arms to comfort her.

Luckygirl Wed 24-Jul-19 16:56:47

Yes - sorry annie - I missed the spirit of what you were quite rightly saying.

I expect TM will be glad to have a holiday now and let someone else take the flak.

Grammaretto Wed 24-Jul-19 17:11:16

Her Majesty has a Philip too of course. Perhaps something in the name? wink

MissAdventure Wed 24-Jul-19 17:16:40

Oh I totally understand that feeling.
It would be nice to know someone will support you through life's trials.
They could do a bit of diy, too, if they wanted. smile

Callistemon Wed 24-Jul-19 17:19:53

It is indeed good to have a Philip smile

Anniebach we are no real substitute but someone is always here if you need to talk flowers

Anniebach Wed 24-Jul-19 17:23:08

Must be something about Phillip’s. ?

I just got a bit sentimental watching her, we all have good and bad times , she must have said to her Phillip ‘I am cheesed of with it all’, perhaps not her exact words.

I haven’t been able to say it to a Phillip for 43 years, so bit of
envy and self pity crept in.

I would love to say to a Phillip ‘you find a gardener and you tell the council to sod off.

MissAdventure Wed 24-Jul-19 17:28:01

grin

Callistemon Wed 24-Jul-19 17:53:07

Some Philips are quite good at 'boy jobs' like putting out the rubbish.

MissAdventure Wed 24-Jul-19 18:09:12

I think I need a Phillip.
One with big chunky legs, a hairy chest and a beard, preferably.

Lessismore Wed 24-Jul-19 18:15:42

Phillip could roll you a joint, takes the edge off.

Grammaretto Wed 24-Jul-19 18:17:53

Or pour you a glass of wine?

Callistemon Wed 24-Jul-19 18:19:51

Well, this one would think a joint is something you make in woodwork or something which creaks when you walk grin
He can pour a glass of wine though

MissAdventure Wed 24-Jul-19 18:21:20

I can roll my own, lessis wink

Callistemon Wed 24-Jul-19 18:24:23

Although, I think if I suggested we had a joint, he would ask for lamb rather than beef!

Anniebach Wed 24-Jul-19 18:55:18

You don’t need ‘a Phillip’ Callistemon

EllanVannin Wed 24-Jul-19 19:07:17

A rare breed-------a gentleman ! Few and far between.

Anniebach Wed 24-Jul-19 19:24:08

I have been putting out the rubbish every week for 43 years , wish it hadn’t been so

Yes Ellan. A gentleman

Sara65 Wed 24-Jul-19 19:46:12

Sympathies Annie, I don’t like putting the rubbish out, somehow I can’t see Mr May doing it either!
