Good Morning Everyone,
Its a dry and clear sky start here in Brackley this morning.
Its looks like another warm day, a day in today.
Some general tidy ups etc for me .
Routine of BBC Breakfast, Daily Kitchen Live , Bargain Hunt ,and then snooze , watch the latest updates ,and then see what I can find on TV later .
Mick

Good Morning Mick and all who follow from a dry and bright Severnside.
Welcome to the newbies.

I think I’ll do some weeding and pump the tyres up on my bike later. Maybe some pottering.

Hope all is as well as can be for you all and stay safe ?

Morning all.
Nice and bright in EvKent, very chilly in the wind though.
Nothing much on today - we clean the house on Mondays, I hate cleaning.
Hope for a walk to the beach today.
It’s now well into week 6 fo us. How much longer? DH thinks it’ll be the end of summer before the oldies and shielded are let out. Dear God, I hope not.
Stay well and cheerful.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Looks lovely out there today. Full day at the factory today, we have orders and that makes me happy.
I passed all my compliancy checks for my new job, just awaiting a start date.
DD called last night and was upset that she is running out of ideas to keep DGS entertained, I did say it is his age more than the isolation, he is 1 next month. I gave her lots of ideas of things to do with him, but did point out it is more than likely she is bored and it is rubbing off on him. She is luckier than many as she has money, a big house and a big garden. Her first little wobble maybe! She left the call feeling a lot more positive so that was good.
Hope Gilly is feeling ok.
Take care everyone and stay safe today?

Morning Mick and All.

Another lovely sunny day in South Bucks.

I am venturing out to my 6 weekly session with the podiatrist. He has given me strict instructions of how to enter his clinic and I will be wearing a mask and gloves throughout the whole procedure. ? This will be the highlight of the month.

I’m finding this lockdown far harder than DH. I’m sure some of us feel it is like being in prison. I’m carving the days on the wall ?✏️

Mary and Jan had a bit of a wobble with the telly yesterday in remembering how to use its many facilities, so in frustration I wrote down a few basics and am now thoroughly enjoying watching on a bloomin’ big screen.

Good morning everyone.
North Kent is bright and cool too grandMattie
Well what shall I do today, hmm, pretty much the same as yesterday and the day before. Breckie, tidy, read paper, do crossword, read, and TV sadly not warm enough to sit in the garden.
Take care.

Good morning Mick and all x

Bright and Breezy here in SE Essex.

I shall definitely attack the ironing pile today??? followed by some hand washing of the sweaters that are unable to go in the washing machine (I can no longer put this off)

Thinking of gillybob

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️

Good morning Mick and the GM team.

We enjoyed ‘Together at Home’ yesterday and couldn’t resist commenting on people’s homes. I love the Stones and enjoyed their performance of You Can’t Always Get What You Want. (Being a shallow person, I must say I didn’t like MJ’s curtains). It was great to see Stevie Wonder and so nice to hear performances of old songs (Tin Can does Bob Dylan on the acoustic guitar ...). ???

Then we really enjoyed the 2016 film of Midsummer Nights Dream, which showed on BBC4. Wonderful.

Have a good day all and ‘let’s be careful out there’. ?

Good morning from east London, lovely blue sky outside and promising to warm up. Realised yesterday I haven’t got enough compost for my tomatoes but they don’t need potting on yet and there’s plenty of soil in the garden. Today, I have some courgette and chilli seeds to sow and a couple of plants to go in the garden. DP has given me a heap of cards to go through from the Southend house ‘as you may want to keep them’. Brave man, taking a chance like that; I’m not the keeper he is. Then again, he did come across a calendar for 1990 with a footprint of DD when she was 7 months old; I think that’s being framed. DD has sent me a couple of pictures of GD2 who has learnt to swing her legs up; looks like she’s attempting to do a Fosbury flop, perhaps she needs a guard rail on her carry cot. Have a good day.

Morning everyone from the Leicestershire/Nottingham border. A bit of a wobble yesterday so must be more positive today. Trying to decide whether it is a pony tail or plaits. Oh for a hair appointment or a trip to the chiropodist but instead it looks like the weather is indicating a short walk and then another day in the garden. The highlight of the day is the refuse men have just arrived, and they never let us down. Have a good day everyone.

That photo has made me smile this morning?

Good Morning Mick, Cool and sunny here in Oxfordshire, after the excitement of our first trip out yesterday for a click and collect, it’s an easy day today, we have the dog for a couple of days as DD isn’t very well, so it’s an early start for me, but it’s a bit too cold to take her out yet. Then some seed planting later.
I can unpack some shopping, but much of it will be quarantined for another day or so.
Wore my wristwatch for the first time in weeks yesterday!
Have a good and safe day everybody.

Good morning everyone from a lovely sunny morning in Northampton.

It's my birthday ? today, (75, how did that happen?) and I have just found a card and a bottle of wine ? on my doorstep from one of my lovely neighbours. Just opened my cards and put them on the shelf; the cats are amusing themselves by trying to pull them down!

Also remembered that yesterday was the 51st anniversary of DH's and my first date. Only reason I remember it is that it's the day before my birthday. We met in Singapore where we were both working, and he asked me to the cinema. Engaged 6 weeks later!

Had a lovely time at our Sunday lunch drinks yesterday, all sitting on our drives. It really did me good as I had been feeling a bit down lately.

Really enjoyed the last episode of Belgravia last night; glad there was a happy ending!

No plans for today. Will not be doing any chores, but plan on cooking a nice meal tonight - duck with orange sauce and sautéed potatoes and veg. Will probably open a bottle of Prosecco ?! Looking forward to celebrating with my family when this is all over.

Hope the day is kind to all.

Popped back to wish Happy Birthday to Blue Sapphire ??

Good morning everyone from Malaga where I’m pleased to say the sun’s up, the Mediterranean is a gorgeous cobalt blue and the horizon is a sharp blue line. I could smell the pine trees this morning when I opened the front door and the little green parakeets are noisy with their screeching this morning.

I’ve stripped the beds and got them on a hit wash and Himself is tying his trainers - he likes to get his walk done early.

Since we’ve been out here he’s been disciplined and lost a stone and wants to lose another. He looks so much better. I’ve lost, erm... 2lbs. Do you think the salted peanuts, wine and my evening Toblerone could be slowing my weight loss?

Hope Monday is good to us all. Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x

Good morning from the Shropshire borders where it is another sunny day.
I must have slept awkwardly and have woken up with a very painful neck and back.Have taken painkillers and hoping they work so I can get on with the day.
Happy birthday BlueSapphire???
Love the photo of the Fosbury flopper??
Hope you are feeling better gilly, sending love and strength to you.x
Have a good day all.

Puzzler61 Mon 20-Apr-20 07:39:11

Happy Birthday to You ? BlueSapphire. Good morning to all.
I wish I was flexible enough to do the Fosbury Flop Mythbirtthedragon. Thanks for the photo - it made me smile.
Through the window the day looks pleasing - sunny and dry. But like many others who have posted, this weekend I have felt down and frustrated with the whole isolating strategy plus I think I’ve probably watched too many TV daily briefings and too much news. That said I’ll steer clear this week and just find things to do that make me feel cheery.
Is that selfish? I think it’s just another way of shielding: for my mental health. Every bit as important as keeping safe from the awful virus. So off to get dressed and get out weeding in the garden and admiring new blooms on clematis. Have a good day everyone.

brook2704 Mon 20-Apr-20 07:39:52

Good Morning Mick and all from a lovely sunny but cold Inverness. Hope it warms up a bit later, yesterday was quite warm in the afternoon and we sat out in the garden listening to the birds - bliss !

Happy Birthday BlueSapphire hope you have an enjoyable day today ??

I’m hoping some bedding plant seeds will arrive in the post so I can get them going. I usually just buy the plants when ready from the garden centre but I think I’ll enjoy watching them grow from seed this year for a change

Lovely picture mythbirtthedragon ?

Hope everyone has the best day they can and thinking especially of everyone with worries and struggles

Take care ?

Good morning from another sunny, bright day in Cheshire. Had a lovely walk with the dog yesterday on the tow path near our son's house. We watched the DGC playing in their garden as we passed (from a distance), which was lovely. My fear is that the little 2 year old may become shy with us, if he hasn't seen us for a while, but he was fine, called out to us, which was nice. His older sister was very excited when she saw us and told us very seriously, that she should couldn't come too near us! Bless.

Happy Birthday BlueSapphire ???
Mybirtthedragon what a lovely photo, she's a real cutie.
Thinking of Gillybob and all finding it hard to cope. Take care.
