Good Morning Everyone,
Its daylight here in brackley, but also signs of early morning mist or fog .
Today, I will do a small local shop ,and then get the bus to Bicester for a couple of hours and a browse and maybe get a beer as well as a coffee .
Return , another beer hopefully , followed by a nap and cycling on TV.
Take Care,
Mick

As you can see, I am involved in my favourite pastime of gossiping developing the art of conversation! wink

Sending my very best wishes to KittY, her DD and all her family for today. ?
There is so much sadness on GN at the moment. We would rather be unwell ourselves, than see our children suffer. ?

Susan56 Fri 18-Mar-22 07:43:52

Good morning from Shropshire.

Thinking of GrandMattie, her DH and family and sending our love, thoughts and prayers.

Fantastic news for your daughter Chrissie, so pleased for you all.

Kitty, thinking of your DD and you today and hope her appointment goes well?

Another quiet day here as DD1 and family are still in the throes of Covid so no childcare for us for a second week.Poor Henry has escaped Covid but has tonsillitis and infections in both ears.He is so unwell.

DH has been doing sterling work in the garden, it’s looking really good.

A restful day planned for me.I have been diagnosed with pernicious anaemia, apparently it had shown up on my blood tests some years ago but somehow I was never told about it.I said to DH, I told you I was tired!

Thinking of all the Covid warriors and all with worries.???

Good morning Mick, morning all from bright and sunny South Lanarkshire.

Mattieflowers look after yourself too.

Happy holidays Brook. Beautiful flowers Ash, I hope your symptoms abate soon.

Very positive news Chrissielou, I’m so pleased for you and your daughter.
I hope your daughters appointment goes well Kitty.

Today I must get organised for my trip to Rome as I’m working tomorrow. I’ll see what needs to be ironed and change the beds. Such an exciting day.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Grandmabatty Fri 18-Mar-22 07:57:44

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1°. There's sunshine and clouds outside and it feels nippy.
Grandmattie take as much help as you can. You give to others all the time. Ashcombe it sounds horrible for you. Susan good to see you back posting. I hope Henry gets well soon.
Marydoll take it easy today. Chrissielou I was pleased to hear about your daughter's news. Onward and upward!
My son in law has to go for an mri as the consultant doesn't know what is wrong but his liver is enlarged and he thinks he could have stones in it. He did give him medication for another issue so a few steps forward.
Today I'm a lady who lunches. I'm meeting a couple of friends and we will have a good blether. Have a good day all.

Jaxjacky Fri 18-Mar-22 08:03:26

Brilliant news Chrissielou ??
My best wishes for your daughter today kitty.

Urmstongran Fri 18-Mar-22 08:08:36

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s sunny ?
We have no plans until this evening when we are having dinner with a nice couple from Glasgow who have lived out here permanently the last 20 years.

Lovely photos Marydoll! Thank you for sharing. We will all play the guessing game now (and probably get it wrong ha!).

So many on here are poorly it is sad to read and must be hard to bear for those affected or afflicted. Mind you it’s also good to hear that treatments are working their magic and medicines providing much needed relief. My very best wishes wing their way to all of you lovely grans.

Enjoy Friday all who can. x

Good morning from a bright, cold Durham - seems we are in for a run of good weather. I can only echo what others have said GM ?and wish you well for what lies ahead - it’s so easy to be overwhelmed and neglect yourself when caring/nursing. I’m going to DD1s later as I’ve ordered a large planter for her garden which the chap who made it will assemble in situ and I’ve a selection of plants and bulbs to finish it off.
Wishing everyone well for the weekend .

merlotgran Fri 18-Mar-22 08:29:38

Good morning everyone from sunny South Hants. Hopefully I’ll be able to raise enough enthusiasm to get on with painting the pergola which is starting to look really nice but there are a lot of fiddly bits yet to tackle.

Every time I try to comment on the anxiety so many of you are experiencing I just don’t know what to say. Please know that I am thinking of you all.

I haven’t a clue who is who at the meet up but it looks like a fab time was had by all.

Take care everyone

Morning from a Misty Staffs. We had to call out District Nurse yesterday to sort out a problem with DH’s catheter. They came promptly and sorted our problem (bypass for them what knows!). We’re both reassured that prompt help is at hand 24/7-phew. Still awaiting urgent referral to Urologist.
Thoughts and prayers to so many here with problems

hulahoop Fri 18-Mar-22 08:36:32

Good morning from sunny Colchester. It's laundry day today. DS came home for the weekend now that we're Covid free and that meant clean bedding and dirty uniform. The line will be full as it's going to be a dry day. We also need a big shop as we've used up our emergency stash while ill.

Sending hugs to GM and Ash and love to all x
Happy birthday hula. ??

harrigran Fri 18-Mar-22 08:49:19

Good morning from a sunny NE ?
GDs did come after school and we had dinner together.
Lovely to see the meet up photos, I recognised Baubles, as I have met her before.
Thinking of you GM, take care of yourself and do make sure you get nourishment, I lost a lot of weight very quickly whilst looking after DH.
Thoughts are with all the poorly people and carers.

Grammaretto Fri 18-Mar-22 08:49:59

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders,
A quiet day today I hope.
Whilst I was out yesterday my young helper found the barometer was leaking mercury which frightened her considerably. She was chasing it around the floor to try to gather it up. She had the sense to phone an expert who calmed her and today we may take it for repair.

Sorry and glad in equal measure when I read your news, grandMattie, Chrissie and Kitty. We are lucky to have such a wonderful health service most of the time
Get better soon Ash
Happy birthday hulahoop

Take it easy Marydoll and thanks for Tuesday!

Kim19 Fri 18-Mar-22 08:50:06

Morning all! Such a balanced mix of difficulty and joviality on here is just life blood to me. Thank you all for contributing from your own little acres. ? to all those struggling and ? to those who are appreciating happier times. I've moved in to 'high' territory for the next few days. Collected son1 from railway station late last night. He will be here until Monday evening. It's been a long year. It's his birthday tomorrow and we're celebrating by going to a football match of his choice (gulp). The things we do for love! Luckily the weather forecast is promising. I look for my positives where I can! I wish you all at least one recognisable high spot today. Enjoy!

harrigran Fri 18-Mar-22 08:51:05

Happy Birthday hulahoop, enjoy your day.

LauraNorderr Fri 18-Mar-22 08:51:13

Good morning Mick and all from a beautiful, sunny, blue skied Isle of Anglesey.
What good news Chrissielou, I’m so pleased for your daughter, that must have lifted her spirits and will make facing her long chemo journey more bearable.
Kitty I hope your daughter receives a straightforward treatment plan and the reassurance she needs going forward.
Thoughts with you too Gingster for your daughter.
grandMattie, what can I say. So much love and support for you on gn, I hope you can take some strength from it as you keep on keeping on.
Like Merlotgran, I don’t comment on everyone’s anxiety but do read, don’t always know what to say but think about you all.
I hope we get to see a pic of the finished pergola Merlotgran.
Lovely pic of happy looking grans in Glasgow, a good time had by all it seems.
Wishing you all the best possible day ???

GrannyGravy13 Fri 18-Mar-22 08:52:14

Morning Mick and all

I haven’t read the thread as it’s all go here, I will read it later when The Imp has his nap.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

LauraNorderr Fri 18-Mar-22 08:53:22

Grandmabatty Fri 18-Mar-22 09:02:34

Happy birthday Hulahoop. Have a lovely day.

luluaugust Fri 18-Mar-22 09:03:31

Good morning all from sunny W Kent. Off for little light shopping towards DH birthday coming up soon. DD2 still covid positive and in pain, so I can feel a load of ironing coming on!
Happy birthday hulahoop
Best wishes to all trying to cope with difficult situations.

Auntieflo Fri 18-Mar-22 09:11:00

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. It is sunny here now, but was misty/ foggy when I woke up.
Yesterday I had my hair cut, but am none too pleased with it at the moment. On the other hand, our car looks so much better for her wash and wax, after the Sahara landed on her on Wednesday. We had lunch out, and although I only had a toasted panini, my tummy felt 'churny' all afternoon and evening.
Such good news Chrissielou about your DD, and fingers crossed that Kittylester's DD also receives encouraging news.
GrandMattie, all our thought are with you as you overcome each day's problems. Lots of ? and ? for you and your DH.
Best wishes to all who are in need of a {{{hug}}}
Have a good day one and all.

baubles Fri 18-Mar-22 09:14:50

Harrigran ? glad I’m still recognisable after what, ten years?
