Lovely thread WW! I shall keep looking to see who it is, their age hopefully & area they live in. Exciting times!

I just can’t believe that Margaret is nearly 91, she looks 10 years younger than I look at the moment.
Time to cover the grey I think.

This is going to be a great thread! Thanks WWM2 !

Excellent!tchsmile
Should we should we have a sweepstake, or run a book on it?

My Mums name is Margaret and she will be 91 in January. Hopefully it won't be too long until she receives it

I was wondering the same thing!
We have waited virtually all year for today haven’t we?

Three cheers for the scientists who have made this possible!

Ps. Hope your mouth and hip feel better soon WWM2! They sound very uncomfortable.

Somebody on Radio 2 this lunchtime saying that from Covid arriving on our shores until the time of the first vaccination has been about the same as the gestation period of a pregnancy. Don't know why, but that appealed to me!

Jaxjacky Tue 08-Dec-20 13:40:16

Alegrias2 what a lovely analogy!

I made that comment too - well, she looks better than I do at the moment and I'm younger still!

It seems to be Newcastle that have the first participants? I vote for Marydoll!!

What a great thread. I am looking forward to finding out who it will be.

My elder son was born in the hospital where Margaret had the jab.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 08-Dec-20 15:42:43

I’m in group 4 unless it’s after February 1st and then I’ll be in group 3 and DH is in Group 3

Every jab knocks out billions of virus as it stops their ability to reproduce.

Every jab counts

Whitewavemark2 Tue 08-Dec-20 15:44:15

Anyone in their 80s?

I feel positively excited.

Gagagran Tue 08-Dec-20 15:57:23

We are both in group 3 so hoping for an early jab!

annsixty Tue 08-Dec-20 15:57:36

I am in my 80’s but my GP surgery and I have an understanding.
I don’t bother them and they don’t bother me.
It is well over a year since I last visited.
All my hip stuff was done through a physiotherapist.
I don’t suppose they will remember me.
Actually I did see a nurse for my flu jab in September arranged by me of course.

You’ll be bothered I’m sure? the computer will pick you up so don’t think you can get away with it??

annodomini Tue 08-Dec-20 16:14:39

I'm in my 80s (just) but have been living away from home, with family, so will have to wait till the new year and arrange to have the jab then.

BlueBelle Tue 08-Dec-20 16:20:35

Not me I ll wait for the Oxford one it sounds a better bet knowing how many lawsuits Pfizer has had in the past
I ll happily wait
There’s a reason USA is letting us go first?

Elegran Tue 08-Dec-20 16:23:05

You might not get to choose, BlueBelle

How kind thank you.
