I confess, I am watching it. Someone phoned me Monday night and told me Anne Widdie and Rachel Johnson were in there. I think Widdie is great , met her once when she was here canvassing.

It has been women only to celebrate 100 years of women given the vote, sadly men are going in tonight.

wot ?

It would be such fun to have a house full of oldies! Stairlifts, zimmer frames, cocoa and mushy food on hand. At least we'd be able to relate to it all!

glammanana, I confess , I don't know, nothing I want to watch now. Perhaps I will get an Inspector Leyton for my Nintendo ?

glammanana Sat 03-Feb-18 21:37:30

Great thread great comments mostly I wonder how it would fare if the next lot of contestants where all over 50 and see where that takes us or would we all be in bed with our horlicks by 10pm.
What do you think you will be watching now Annie I've looked at the TV guide and nothing at all interesting.

Ailsa43 Sat 03-Feb-18 18:51:51

Well done everyone...great thread I really enjoyed it. Like other in recent years I've given up on CBB or even BB because of the youth , the foul language and the sex... so I really enjoyed it this year..ironic now that after this summers' BB it will come to an end, but I think it's had it's day .. and I really believe that Ch5 relied on sex and bad language to make it work after Ch4 dropped it , and it hasn't, so they should learn from that.....but thanks everyone I enjoyed this thread..

That has cheered me up rafichafran, good for Ann and for those of us who are not prudes but have moral standards?

rafichagran Sat 03-Feb-18 11:30:42

It seemed the voting was a 2 horse race. According to posts on digital spy Shane J got 49% Ann got 39% and the rest of the votes were shared by the other 3. Not the landslide I think people believe.

DanniRae Sat 03-Feb-18 09:21:56

I was NOT happy that Shane won - I had voted 3 x times for Anne last night. However I am sure that I heard on the programme last night that he got 49% of the vote. So my 3 x little votes were, apparently, a waste of time.
I really enjoyed the whole of CBB this year and especially coming on here to express my views and read what others had to say. So thank you to all my fellow GN CBB watchers!! grin

I will give the summer Big Brother a try but usually I give up because they fill the house with a load of show offs and crazy people. Fingers crossed it's different this year and we will all be on GN again having our say.

I totally agree with the last 2 posts. I can't remember when I last watched BB, must be 10 years. I was interested to watch this year because of the women only start, and especially to see Ann, a sensible person who isn't foul mouthed.

I am no prude, and do swear at times, but the normal behaviour of BB contestants is not for me. I know it isn't aimed at our generation. The support for Shane was from the young twitter and LGBT crowd, who are surgically attached to their phones and happy to pay out a lot to keep voting.

I think Ann did really well. I hope she doesn't see some of the really disgusting crude comments, hope it doesn't upset her. Good on her for putting Emma in her place, both Emma and that Rylan have shown obvious dislike of Ann, not very professional in their job.

ShaneJ was the last person I wanted to win - apparently he is an Australian, an updated version of Dame Edna, who I couldn’t stand. I think he makes a gorgeous woman, my objection is his character - bitching about Ann behind her back, and being so cocky, totally shocked when he was nominated to leave. I would have liked to see him when he sees how many nominations he got earlier this week but turned it off after Ann’s interview.

Anniebach Sat 03-Feb-18 03:51:15

I did enjoy it, thought Ann would be first out, vulgarity won but this is the way society has sunk so we who dislike vulgarity can be pleased that someone who didn't support sex on tv, foul language , dishonesty , remained true to her self and to viewers did so well.

rafichagran Fri 02-Feb-18 23:12:27

Ann, runner up, that will do. Never changed her mind and would not be swayed. Telling Emma she should change her style of interviewing, priceless.
Anyway a part from a couple of posts this has been a very good thread. Maybe see you all back for the summer big brother.

Nannylovesshopping Fri 02-Feb-18 23:11:03

Anniebach Fri 02-Feb-18 21:48:20

It is odd wot, how can Andrew knowing Shane J is a man fancy him when he puts on a frock and a wig and tapes a certain part of his anatomy back between his legs
