Where to buy quality underwear?

I replied to this thread earlier on having thought it was one of those half term jobs along the lines of 'I'm 126 and like to go wear a leather pencil skirt and fishnet tights when I go clubbing. AIBU?'

I buy Sloggi pants. They cost more but last for ever, literally years, so work out cheaper in the long run. Very comfortable.

I have two pairs of Sloggies about 30 years old. They have a panel across the front, a little like a mild version of a girdle, and I wear them twice a year when I get an implant which is taped together instead of stitched, just for the added pressure. After 30 years they still look like new. Sloggies are certainly worth the money.

Apropos of an earlier post, I once bought a 3 pack of tights in a local discount store. When I opened the pack I found that every pair had just one leg.

I don’t see why the OP should go elsewhere to buy her favourite knickers , and I don’t agree that there is lots of choice unless you like low cut ones. They all vary in comfort and fit and when you find some you like it’s annoying when the makers change the shape.Don’t trans women need a gap for speedy access as in men’s pants?couldn’t the makers feminise some male underwear instead?

Why buy others? Because the ones she liked no longer exist. The brand changed them.

This has happened to me for years with different brands. Nothing to do with TW in my case, just different styles.

So what did I do? Switched brands. Similar to when my favourite jeans stop being made

When this thread started I thought it was a have on, then I began to think it was real but the OP had got overwrought about a trivial issue.

Every single pair of pants I've ever bought (even sexy ones) have that little envelope bit in the gusset . It's a double bit of soft material?
In other words, pants made for women need to have that extra bit of material, because if you're a woman, the last thing you want is scratchy, lacy material irritating the old undercarriage!
Anyway, these pants are missing that bit altogether.
Now why is that?

It's a bit difficult to ignore when the lingerie review sections of a lot of major stores now have loads of men posting saying that women's pants fit them perfectly.

I think it strange to be a woman and NOT be concerned.

Well I'm back. M&S mission accomplished. It was hard to check in detail as the packs of three or five were all sealed. Some had been opened and rummaged through! Other pants scrutineers at work obviously.
Conclusions: I couldnt see any particular problems as to style or shape. The gussets were fine in every respect. I was a bit put off by the thought of recycled polyester ones but I did find nice cotton ones. They may not last as long as Sloggis but, at the price they were, it'll be fine to buy more in a few years.

I have seen many reviews about women’s knickers on the M&S website written by men, extolling their virtues.
The lacy ones in particular.
It’s been highlighted elsewhere.
It is definitely a thing.

Strangely enough they never seem to buy sensible granny style pants in boring beige.
They don't seem to realise that there's more to being a woman than swanning around in fancy underwear.
Theres definitely a fetish element to it.

Not on gussets but on fabric. I bought a packet of Sloggis online, it was the first time and will be the last.
I like the type of Sloggi that is made with 96% cotton, however not being able to feel, like I do in a shop, I bought an expensive pack not looking carefully at the details, sloggi is sloggi to me never changing, however what I ordered was in polyester. I was so disappointed. I do wear them at a push but I don’t if I have a choice.

I ordered 2x packs of M&S full brief sumptuously soft , very pretty and lacy , but the gusset was about an inch wide. , I couldn’t see myself feeling comfy in those so I have sent them back ,,the rest of the gusset was a lace frill !
They seem to have stopped making the usual no VPL packs that were very nice with a nice lacy waistband. I will have to go elsewhere in future for the hunt for comfy but pretty full knickers.

I got whoppers in M&S today. Cotton with nice lacy band round the top. No need for anti VPL as it's all pants!
£12 for 5 pairs. Gusset fine and wide.

I think many of the men who write and post these reviews are gettin gtheir thrills from writing and posting the reviews, not because they are actually buying and wearing womens knickers.

It is like the trolls we get on GN posting harrowing stories of family problems and who have an objection to every sensible suggestion anyone makes and dribbles more and more ccomplicate information about the problem as the thread develops.

On the other hand there may be lots of men, not necessarily tw, who have always had a secret womens’ underwear fetish but who now feel free to talk about it in the anonymity of the internet.
Watch out for TikTok videos of masked men caressing the front of the said underwear and expressing their feelings. It could well be the next fad.
