I was thinking recently about my favourite heart-throbs over the decades. Also which actors/celebrities actually turned me off ! My heartthrobs are : George Clooney (just think of the Nespresso ad!) Aidan Turner (imagine Poldark) Tom Hiddleston (remember The Night Manager)
My absolute turn off would be ... Arnold Swarznegger So come on GN's ....three hearthrobs and one turn off.
No one mentioned Luke Pasquale (sp?) from the Musketeers, gorgeous! Robert Horton my first crush, Jamie Redknap - steady now, old enough to be his mother! Lots of others listed here. Turn off - John McCreerick, Johnny Vegas, DT, Brand and others listed!
Three not enough! Reckon I'll be pondering on this for ages. Used to have crushes on Johnny Depp and Paxman till they left their long time partners, so must have found their fidelity in the face of lots of temptation attractive. My adoration for Syd Barratt (sp) has never diminished. Ditto Michael Wood. Currently Cillian Murphy is the favourite but has probably been overtaken by Tom Hardy. First ever big crush was Rudolph Valentino (from a picture in a film annual).Don't find Ryan Gosling remotely attractive (eyes too close together). Like George Clooney as a person but don't find him attractive.
Let me assist you, ladies. I would be delighted to take Russell Brand, Daniel Craig, Brian Cox and David Tennant (Ooh when he played Casanova!) off your hands. Just as a favour of course ;-)
And Matt Smith the other Doctor Who, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hardy, the young Bruce Willis, the young Johnny Depp.
You can keep David Beckham, Jimmy Carr (that awful laugh), Jonathan Ross (too up himself) and Johnny Vegas (just yuck). And poor Johnny Depp hasn't aged well at all.
Robert Fuller (Jess Harper in Laramie) was my first love and looking back at his pictures would still be! Harrison Ford (in his younger days) Brian Cox though I don't want to admit it! Can I have Peter O' Toole as well? xx
Turn offs .... how long have you got? Lets just say Jeremy Clarkson, Tom Jones and Arnold Swarznegger to be going on with (shudder!!!)
The young Kurt Russell must have been the first actor I really liked. He used to be a child star and often popped up in Disney stuff and Saturday morning pictures.
I have not noticed if Benedict Cumberbatch has been mentioned as a turn off, he looks weird to me. Brian Cox too with that permanent toothy smile, odd.
In the old days- Scott Walker (oh the voice!) while his music was still mainstream... Likewise Rod Stewart (even though he preferred blondes) and John Neville playing Iago with the RSC.
Mid life crisis time - the late great Patrick Swayze. No-one else came close - unless it was Kevin Costner in Dances with Wolves or Jason Isaacs playing Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films.
Dirty old lady currently goes for Neil Oliver and likewise Tom Hiddleston. Also that nice new Welsh MP (whose name I forget but who is undoubtedly young enough to be my grandson) has distinct possibilities. Perhaps you should put a warning out....
Nanny27 I won't laugh because I love Montys gentle voice and demeanour, though he looks a bit scruffy even on his travel shows. I'd never thought he was sexy until I had an erotic dream about him once. I look at him a bit differently now!
