How judgmental are you about people.

Gransnet seems to be a very judgmental place today - from dissing people's choice of daily paper to 'guessing' why someone disliked a couple on Strictly.

I imagine that most people on here would see themselves as being very tolerant but does that tolerance only stretch to people who think in a similar way?

I am a lot less judgemental than him indoors!
Cor, he does have opinions, bless him, which are a source of amusement to the rest of us but can grate on me at times!!
The man living in the black house is a pedo, he thinks. I've told him never to say that outside or to anyone we don't know that well as I won't be party to the poor bloke being beaten up for absolutely nothing!!
There's a prostitute living a few doors away - I actually think he's right about that one - but I don't care. She says hi to us, is always immaculate and polite and doesn't bother us.
The next door neighbours are dodgy. I've seen them twice, maybe, in the 20 months we've lived here. They're not noisy, even tho there's a young boy living there and we all respect each others privacy!
Next door to them is a girl my children know and her little family.
He says her husband is dodgy, tho he doesn't know why?!
And next to them is the local drug dealer. I've never seen hide nor hair of the people living there, but they have one of those disability scooters parked outside. If they're dealing, they're going about it very quietly!!
Oh, I nearly forgot the old guy the other side of us. He's OK, I am surprised....but his wife is not!!
Honestly, I get so much entertainment from my little cul-de-sac, and I rarely venture across the threshold!
Him indoors used to 'watch people' for a living - he was a store manager haha - and can spot dodgy people quite well. But I think boredom is overtaking his imagination somewhat!
Anyway, as long as it's staying amusing and not hurting anyone I'll just let him carry on. It keeps him busy and out of my hair.

Ali08 ??? great post. I too live in a cul-de-sac. My partner since retiring has turned into Victor Meldrew.

This is not as amusing as the television sit com.

So on a whim I decided to apply for a job in a very well known designer discount store and got it. I am the oldest one there and there are a lot of complicated procedures to master plus odd hours.
The store is massive and everyone communicates through a headset.
It is only marginally less stressful than staying home with him indoors and they say I will soon get the hang of it?
