Why ohh why is it of any importance to any one else whether or not we wear the same attire, once or multiple times.
It is nice to buy a new outfit or several out fits , but it should be perfectly acceptable to choose to wear a favourite to as many events or occasions as one wishes to. It’s Out dated snobbery . & quite ridiculous IMO .

I thank you all for your interest in my dilema! Think I shall wear my outfit and feel happy doing so . Looking forward to the big day! Have spoken to friends and my dear sister and they all think wearing such a well fitting garment for a second wedding is a perfectly ok thing to do. Cant wait for March !

Oh I think you should wear it again. Maybe change your accessories a bit so it looks different in the photos. I had different outfits for my daughter's weddings but things were different 20 years ago

Definitely wear it again!! To be honest I can't remember what my friends or family wore anywhere last week. Anyway if they do remember they would probably think 'good for her I wish I was that brave' and if they don't that's their problem not yours. Go ahead and feel a million dollars again, how often to we get that choice? ?

If it's a classic outfit and not dated and you look the mutts nutz-wear it with panache!! You can order new accessories online to compliment outfit but why waste dosh for ONE day?!

If you love it wear it. Its definitely within the spirit of the times to re use clothes, especially posh ones that you don't wear often. Not only is it ok its a Good Thing

Dilemma? Honestly take a chill pill who cares? It's not your day it's DSand missus' honestly nobody will be dissecting your outfit! You're not the blushing bride!!! It could even be a "spot the difference" joke in family for GKs ???

Definitely wear it again! Can you remember what people wore to your daughter’s wedding? If ever I think ooh I wore that before, I then think if I can remember what anyone else was wearing, and the answer is always no! So wear it, be comfortable and look fabulous.

The photos will be theirs not mine , having two photos on my sideboard of both weddings - me in the same outfit is not something I am in the least worried about!

Definitely wear it again if it makes you feel fabulous - just channel your inner Princess Anne, who seems to recycle outfits on a regular basis!

Th alternative is to buy online - maybe one of the shops that you usually buy from will have either something suitable or just change the accessories and go for a different colour for your shoes and handbag and hat (if you're wearing one)
One of my aunts wore the same suit for several weddings, including her daughter's and we took more notice of the hats she wore ( including a fascinator that she adapted by removing the feathers so it looked as if she had a large dead spider on her head!!!) even though her outfit was quite a bright colour.
It was only years later once we were looking at family photo albums after she died, that anyone noticed !

Depends on the style as fashion and colours change so much over 7 years. If you are happy with the outfit why not wear it. I know what I wore 7 years ago for special occasions would look out of date. Had 55 years wedding anniversary two weeks ago and looked at outfit I wore for 50th but no way, even the colour didn't suit me (hair colour different for a start). I just bought a top and skirt online, total cost less than £50 and it was much admired. As much as I am all for economy and recycling and can understand your issues about shopping I'd think carefully about wearing something 7 years old when a lot of eyes will be on you.

Agree entirely! I had ONE black "going out ". Drew and wore it to absolutely everything it was a good one and j looked smashing I. It! Nobody but NOBODY noticed! I swapped about shoes/jewelry etc and saved a fortune. After the initial look who cares?! Everyone ended up sozzled anyways and it didn't matter!

Wear it...nobody will remember it. Maybe different shoes and bag.

I think if you find clothes"date" then you maybe follow so called trends too much? Classic style never dates. I always say "buy cheap buy twice" and those "eyes" on the groom's mum? Hardly friendly looks if they judge by way of clothes surely?
