well I used to be very much barefoot in the summer and especially in the garden as I loved feeling the grass beneath my feet and as I had a shower every day they stayed clean and as far as I was concerned decent. However sadly I am now a diabetic and have been told that I must wear shoes or slippers and not go barefoot as you are vunerable to problems with your feet and also since becoming diabetic I do find that any cuts etc take longer to heal, so sadly I no longer enjoy wandering barefoot . So I would say enjoy wandering with bare feet while you can and if you are your own in your own home why not. If I was expecting visitors I would probably wear some covering . ah well at the moment there is no worries for anyone arriving unexpectedly as it is flipping freezing so it is putting on MORE than one covering and wrapping up warm!
