Watching a Medieval archeological dig on TV today, I was struck by

A) The bones they find are people. Long dead I know, but still.
B) if everyone is cremated what will future archeologists have to dig up from our time?

I have never wanted to be buried though having a grave to visit is a nice idea.
DH was cremated but I have had his name engraved on his family's stone.

Traditions surrounding death take a lot to change witzend but I am sure the water resomations that ordinarygirl suggested will become commonplace as cremations lack popularity.
With each cremation, 400kg of carbon are emitted plus all the mercury from old fillings goes into the environment..

We had non-religious ceremonies for my parents. One celebrant gave me the creeps, the other was excellent.

I don’t care, I’ll be dead! Whatever suits my family most…

Our co-op funeral director couldn’t have been better. She was sensitive, calm, reassuring, patient. Absolutely no,’pressure’ - I don’t know anyone who has been pressured by the funeral director.
