Has anyone purchased from “Must Have Ideas”

I am tempted to buy a couple of items from a company called Must Have Ideas. The Trust Pilot reviews look very good but as usual I prefer the views and opinions of Gransnetters. Has anyone used this company?

Mould Magic is amazing and cleaned the rim of my washing machine so well.

The ‘Orange Oil’ washing stain remover wasn’t so good.

And I got a Slice and Dice compact set from Lidl. Much cheaper than Must Have Ideas.

Shop around to find the exact same items. A lot are sold from Temu and Shein and are the exact same items

I am particularly interested in the “Slice and dice” (which is a more convenient size than my food processor) and will be great for salads. The “Miracle melt” also looks useful as I hate defrosting food in the microwave. Has anyone purchased either of these items?

I bought that defrosting tray. It’s brilliant!
It needs to be stood somewhere that the defrosting water can run off to. Otherwise it ends up standing in a puddle.

I've bought mould magic - a brilliant product, and some storage boxes, which are also great. I unsubscribed from marketing so haven't had emails etc. I thought the customer service was excellent. I made a phone call about the boxes, the phone was answered immediately and the person I spoke to was extremely helpful.

I have bought loads from them. I particularly love the multi head cleaning set, brush, mop, window cleaner, duster , corner brush and scrubbing pad. You can even use the Flash floor wipes with the mop head. It saves me so much space.

Don't be tempted to buy the so called ultra safe gardening gloves. They are useless. Thorns went straight through. I complained, but still they keep advertising them showing people grabbing brambles. The skirting board duster wobbles all over the place, but the hand held squirty cleaner with changeable pads is good.

I have bought quite a lot of things from MHI and most are pretty good. You need to be a bit careful what you buy, look at the photos and judge for yourself as to how safe/strong they will be. On the whole though, I haven’t been disappointed.
I did get fed up with the pestering emails that started straight after my first purchase, but wrote and told them I would stop buying if they kept pestering me. They have stopped now.

When the emails start, I just unsubscribe in my emails and that stops them.

Slice and Dice needs the strength of Samson to operate. Mine ended up in the local jumble sale. Some of the stuff is gimmicky but I've had some really useful things from them, especially their rechargeable light bars, wonderful for motion sensor operation for night trips to the loo and excellent as torches as well. One tip- if you want to buy two of anything, order one then a message comes up to offer you a second one at a considerably lower price and no extra postage.

I bought the skirting board cleaning mop as we have a Victorian house with intricate skirtings where dust and dirt gather and my back isn’t what it was bending down to clean them. A good idea and it arrived promptly but I was disappointed as it’s very flimsy and it was a faff to return it. The pads which go with it were expensive too.

I bought something from them, the parcel went missing, they not only sent a replacement but also refunded because of the delay in delivery so I ended up getting the item, which I am very pleased with, for free.

I’d second the mould magic, marvelous product. Also the HO HO hooks for hanging outside lights at Xmas.

I saw the company advertised just before Christmas. I ordered 2 of the telescopic torches, got 3 but although charged for 3 they refunded promptly.

My 3 year old GS is always rolling things under our sofas (wooden floor) and gets an ordinary torch and broom handle to hoick whatever he’s dropped, out.

We were going to give him one to use for this purpose. To our horror we found it used mercury cell batteries (which he’d have no trouble accessing) which are deadly if swallowed.

Beware anyone else thinking of buying this product for this reason,

They sell some magnetic ties which I think would be very dangerous for children or pets. And seem like a silly idea anyway.

I must remember that. I bought two things from another company yesterday and, had I just bought one I could have bought the second one much cheaper.

I have found them to be company great on customer service and very prompt with well packed deliveries. The silicone broom I bought was twice the quality of one bought else where and cost about a third less. Everything I have bought has been of good quality, in spite of the impression given by them advertising style. The only downside is the frequency of emails -it’s either a lot or cancel them all!

MayBee70 Fri 31-Jan-25 12:58:38

But I’ve told them several times that the table is downright dangerous and they still advertise it as something that is weight bearing.

Pmvt2712 Fri 31-Jan-25 13:06:46

Hit and miss

Twopence Fri 31-Jan-25 13:35:26

Yes, I’ve bought from them and all was OK.

Josiegirl Fri 31-Jan-25 14:05:13

Ive bought a couple of items from them and they sent others for free.
Legit and reliable !

missdeke Fri 31-Jan-25 14:10:48

I've bought several things from them and they have never disappointed, my latest purchase is their stay fresh bags for fruit and veg. I put some bananas in one 6 days ago and they are still as yellow as the day I bought them and not soft at all.

I've bought a few things from them, Mould Magic, and a whisk, both work well.
However, I purchased a plastic bag sealer, which didn't work. I informed them, and they refunded me, advising that there was no need to return it.
They are very good to deal with, their customer service second to none.

I bought a Miracle Melt. Unfortunately I am obviously not in favour with Him Upstairs since no miracles were performed in my kitchen.

Shirls52000 Fri 31-Jan-25 14:37:26

Everything I’ve bought from them has been as described and they deliver very quickly, would reccommend

lilydily9 Fri 31-Jan-25 14:54:02

I too have bought several items from Must Have Ideas and always been happy with my purchase. The shower head is my favourite.

Yes. I bought that. It only seals some of the bag so the advert showing a sealed bag with a mobile phone in it immersed in water was misleading. If you seal a bag of frozen vegetables you then have to cut it open next time you use them; better to just use a clip! It basically just melts the plastic which smells horrible.I kept it because it wasn’t too expensive and I do use it to seal some things. It also tends to slice the bag open instead of sealing it. They do tend to refund people ( which they did with the tables I bought) but still continue to sell those things knowing that they don’t work in the way they show in their videos.
