I suppose we all receive gifts that just are not useful to us.

This year was no exception however I did receive a beautiful expensive jumper from my daughter and a fabulous robe from my granddaughter.

Family time was also very precious.

An update on the little glass teapot I was given. The person who gave it to me has just phoned to advise me how to use it. She says to cut open a teabag and put the tea in the strainer compartment and add water!
Mmm. Yes I must try that.

You don’t need to cut open a tea bag. Just buy loose leaf tea. It’s much cheaper than tea bags.

My son took me to the BP Pulse arena to see The Wizard of Oz cirque with his wife and my two grandchildren. It was a lovely day out and a great present.

A pair of pyjamas from Secret Santa, I spend much of my time in bed and I couldn't think what to put on my "wishlist ". I was highly delighted to receive something so thoughtful.

The most prescious for me was time, to be with my family.

For the first time in many years I spent all of Christmas day with both of my sons. It was so special.
