On audiobook as reading is getting more tiring...I don't really like True Crime (or even a lot of 'untrue crime, come to that) as it's often very salacious & exploitative, but this is brilliant. A lot of it is social history and it doesn't dwell on the murders at all. It gives dignity back to the victims.

chelseababy I have just read Graham Norton’s second book; haven’t read his first. It’s called A Keeper. I really enjoyed it. It’s full of surprises and really well written.

Recently read Circe, by Madeline Miller and Bluebird, Bluebird, by Attica Locke. Both are beautifully written.

DIARY OF YOUNG GIRL

This book captured my attention long back when I saw my sister with it. I remember when I used to look at the cover of the book, I saw a innocent face with a beautiful smile which can take away anyone's heart within a fraction of second.

Back then I always used to wonder what this book is about. Don't know what kept me away from it. Maybe I was too busy in all the other stuff, girl of my age would probably keep herself involved in.

The Righteous Mind by Jonathan Haidt. Recently I have been reading books which help me to understand myself and other people. From reading of all the problems we are having within our lives I think reading these types of books should be compulsory. We might all be happier then!

Currently I’m in the middle of “Principles: Life and Work” by Ray Dalio.

Love Rachel Joyce books. Harold Fry, Queenie etc.

I’ve just finished Kit de Waal’s The Trick to Time and shall not easily forget it.
Mona is almost 60. Her life took her from Ireland to Birmingham in the 1970s and she now has a small shop in a small tourist town on the coast.
I found her story intriguing and recommend it to anyone wanting a novel with depth.

I am reading Station 11 and not long finished Bridge of Clay.
Loved Bridge of Clay but enjoying Station 11

Currently reading 'The Survivor' by Sam Pivnik. All about living in and surviving Auschwitz. Incredible story.

Just finishing Anne Cleeves new book The Long Call . A new detective Matthew Venn. No Vera or Jimmy. An excellent book as always .

Currently reading 'Thief River Falls', which is described as 'a thriller'.

KT19 I thoroughly enjoyed ‘Circe’ and Madeline Miller’s other book ‘Song of Achilles’. A superb writer.
Finished ‘Everyone Died So I Got a Dog’. Very funny, heartbreaking, thought provoking. Now started ‘The Help’, a novel about America’s Deep South. Not sure whether I will stick with this one.

The Binding as I saw it was only £1.99 on iBooks.
A few chapters in and certainly different. Enjoying so far.
Once Upon a River was really enjoyed. Best book for awhile.

Very different reads, think I will read Queenie first.

Both these were recommended by a bookseller.

I am reading “Dark Matter” by Michelle Paver. It is frightening the living daylights out of me so it will have to be binned as my bedtime read. A little voice inside my head keeps saying “don’t read any more for goodness sake!” but, well......

I have just finished Native by Patrick Laurie, set in Scotland, it's out in April, really good book. Now I am reading Thorn a fairy tale for adults, a remodeling of The Goose Girl

I have recently read 'The Whisper Man' by Alex North and thoroughly enjoyed it, but rather disappointed at the ending. Currently reading 'One Moment' by Linda Green - it is very thought provoking and I would highly recommend it to everyone, as it is a sensitive story about a child being bullied at school and someone dealing with mental health.

I am re reading the Miss Read collection, gentle fiction of village life. Written by Dora Jessie Saint, she started writing them in the 1950s finishing in the 1990s,died in 2004.

She was also a school mistress and a lot of the books focus on school life which brings back so many memories of my own time at school.

About to start reading Too close to home by Susan Lewis can’t believe I’d missed this one, I’m an avid reader of her books since discovering her a few months ago,

Cabbage and Semolina, memories of a 1950's childhood by Cathy Murray. An amusing read with so many lovely memories brought back. However, if you like thrillers I would highly recommend The Cold Cold Sea by Linda Huber and Am I Guilty by Jackie Kabler. Could not put them down and ended up reading in bed until silly o'clock

Am quite partial to a bit of Jane Austen lol x
