This is an article about female violence, the person used to represent our sex is the transwoman rapist Lisa Hauxwell. Now tell me that I am over reacting.
Just read that article, how dare they, he is a man, with a penis, a rapist.
Imagine an article that explored black crime and when you clicked on the link it was a white dude in black make up. How offensive would that be, why don't people care about how offended women are.
I feel like I am in an abusive relationship with society, I could honestly cry.

Is Jenni Murray right about transgender?
(588 Posts)Jenni Murray has been criticised for writing in the Sunday Times that transgender women cannot be real women as they have not grown up with the experiences of being women. Basically a transgender woman is just that , transgender, and not a woman. I agree with her, I have sympathy for those with psychological issues about gender, but I don't think a man who has had an sex change operation = a woman.
^ why don't people care about how offended women are.^
I think feeling offended is rather a personal thing.
And I have to say that some feminists, by no means all, come across as a bit shrill and OTT.
But if they present their case well,as people are doing here, I think it helps other people understand better.
Without me having to google again, how many people are trans would you say? And how many TAs are there roughly?
I dont yet have much sort of perspective about all of this.
Ankers - mtt TAs get very cross with lesbians if they do not consider them as sexual partners, it's transphobic don't cha know and there is reams of stuff out there educating women about why they should date penis decked transwomen.
However, now bear with me here because this is where it gets really confused, transwomen don't have to date other transwomen
because <<drumroll>> the sight of another penis will "trigger" them. That's right, They Will Be Trigered. Obviously the female homosexual doesn't get to be triggered by a penis even though she will be the one who has to, you know, you get the picture...
Whoputthecatout that's an excellent post on Mumsnet. Thank you.
I think the amount of trans people is tiny, but it's spreading like wildfire across schools and campuses, including primary schools. Young children are generally diagnosed by the toys they play with. This is what really annoys me, I have fought gender stereotyping and just when we're getting somewhere gender and gender roles become more rigorously policed.
How many young gay children will grow up living as the opposite sex?
Ta's seem to be leading the way and are embraced by liberal feminists who don't want to seen as phobic.
Just started reading the MN thread, great read.
I know an awful lot of people, one because I'm a writer, and two because I run a business. Out of everyone I know only one is transgender and two are gay. I don't think this gender issue is as big as it's being made out to be. As for brain plasticity, we can all become what we think we are. That's neuroscience in a nutshell. Therefore if we're told we are something we are going to believe it. If we step outside our environment, according to cell biologist, Dr Bruce Lipton, PhD, we'll change way beyond Darwinian theory. We'll think our way through. This means the thoughts have to be put there in the first place. We mostly function on instinct and our own gene make up. Therefore I don't feel threatened by the LGBT community taking over. What we need to do is make sure our children aren't brainwashed into thinking they're something they're not.
and protect women and girls nina, that tiny minority are changing laws. All men will have access to female space, all men. That's a huge threat to women and girls.
Nina What we need to do is make sure our children aren't brainwashed into thinking they're something they're not.
I think that ship has already sailed....
I prefer not to be convinced due to there only being 1.5% of the UK population being LGBT. I think they're being given air time but I don't believe they are in the masses. Nor will they impact on the masses. We do strive to protect minorities and that's a good thing. But I can't see them actually changing the majority thinking. I think laws will be passed to create fairness in society for tthem and to pave the way for children who feel gender confused. But I can't see any law being passed that makes a person believe they're something they're not.
But nina, if the law is changed and the gender recognition bill goes through then all men will have access to female spaces, all men, just because they can say they are women and they will be in the right legally. In country's where this has gone through you end up with all females getting changed in a bloody cupboard so that one fully intact male can have the female changing room. Or female prisoners having to go to court to fight for the right to have a shower without being masterbated on.
You don't think that's slightly catastrophic thinking LSP? Surely the main dangers these days are online.
But you can have more than one danger nina.
LSP which country has it gone through?
and protect women and girls nina, that tiny minority are changing laws
In America, I read that the lawmakers[I think it was the lawmakers] are taking most notice of the TAs. I will check tomorrow.
Canada and Ireland I think, def Canada.
nina, that's realistic thinking. Anyone will be able to choose their sex so anyone can enter any space so any man can enter female space.
I don't have a problem with LGB, just the T which is not a sexuality unlike the first 3.
The above examples are real, the prison is in the US and it is well known in the US for girls to be forced out of changing rooms or have to change with males. Male crimes are reported as female crimes in this country, today, in the mainstream press. Females can now rape with their female penises in this country, who knew!
This is happening, this is real, don't get cross when it does effect you.
Night night everyone, off to bed with a good book
Nina - you think?
A regular Mumsnet poster was describing just before Christmas the 'takeover' of the women's changing room at her local swimming baths by a group of penised transwomen. She and others were changing elsewhere.
There is a lawsuit in the states from female prisoners who describe having to shower next to 'intact' transwomen and are experiencing fear and abuse.
A rape survivor in the States was told she had no right to complain about 'intact' transwomen showering next to her. She asked, what if one of them gets an erection? Can I complain then? She was told no: it might be a purely inadvertent reaction and the transwoman should be given the benefit of the doubt.
(Their concerns being that these were opportunist predators identifying as MTT to get close to women, rather than the genuine article. The law in US has been changed in many states to allow self-identification, as Maria Miller would like to happen here, so any male claiming to identify as a woman has free range there.)
At their own risk over here I'd say.

Is this a male crime reported as a female crime? How can a woman rape anyone?
www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/truth-female-sex-offenders/
They can't Sue, thare is another "female" rapist in the news today. What makes the Telegraph article different is that the male rapist Lisa Hauxwell has been deliberately chosen to represent our sex.the article focuses on female crime and the main perp HAS A PENIS AND IS A RAPIST!!!
I am sure there will be a big outcry <tumbleweed>
I mean women receive rape and death threats and are no platformed if they mention biology?
I think society is putting women <wimmin wimmin> firmly in their place. Sit down. Shut up.
nina - yes she was kicked out, and has dined of it ever since. That won't happen in future, she will have access, big bloke with a beard will have access just because he says so.
The skewing of female crime stats is bloody awful, could black crime be represented by a black and white minstral, just imagine how that would make people feel?
Retrolady that was a well thought out, measured post.
Bags don't mind being kept on my toes
nina you are so wrong if you think I spend much time anymore on GN though even if I did it's none of your business. I do however prefer to post early in the morning - the early bird catches the worm, as they say.
Anya I think what you meant to say is 'morning Nina, how are you this fine day'? To which I'd reply, 'morning Anya, I'm very well thankyou, I hope you are too'.
nina do you really think that the main dangers these days are online ? You cant be raped, murdered or assaulted online but you damn well can on the street, in changing rooms etc. You can switch off your internet but you cant switch off real life
Grannypiper, where do you live? I'm in the UK, so far I've made it this far.
