Good morning all from a very cold Glasgow.
The usual pottering about early looking for painkillers, but it has been a productive morning so far: eyebrows tidied up, nails painted and facial done, with DD's special elixir drops. (I think it will take more than that to make me look younger. ) .
This is of course is a good sign, as up until recently I haven't really cared what I looked like!
I got little of what I planned done yesterday. No baking, no pills found.
I had to make a mad dash to DS1's to let the washing machine engineer in. DIL phoned him on her way to work and he said he could come right way. When has an engineer ever been available so quickly?
It needs a part, again, so I have piles of washing to do for them.
DGD came home from nursery covered in black paint, her top has been soaking all night in Vanish Platinum and it has made no impact at all on the stains. Any suggestions, clever grans?
On the way home, I spotted a parking spot outside a lovely gift shop we have in town, so decided to go in for a browse.
It is crammed with beautiful gifts, but there is not much room.
A lady, unaware that I was there, decided to bend down to look at something, as I was squeezing past. In trying to avoid her derrière in my face, I tried to move aside, stumbled into a display and SMASHED a glass Christmas ornament. ?
She quickly disappeared to the other end of the shop, leaving me to apologise to the owner and having to PAY for the damage.
Good luck with the parka Mick, I'm trying to persuade DH to get one for our trip New York and time is running out, as usual he is resisting!
Kitty, I would love to do the course you are doing. . I used to make so much jewellery before my hands let me down.
DH has offered to take me for a bar lunch at the golf club, if I drive and consequently he will be able to have a pint of Guiness!
It's a fair trade, as it means I won't have to cook dinner tonight.
The only downside is that it is all uphill, on a twisty, winding country road and what goes up, must come back down!
It will be good for me to drive, as I'm beginning to lose my confidence.
Hoping and praying Gilly may have some more promising news for us today.
Enjoy your day, whatever your plans.
