Good morning everyone from a chilly cloudy Angus coast. Lovely to hear that Dexter has come through his op and is improving. But Grannysyb so sorry to hear about your fall and the broken wrist. I am full of admiration at you bouncing back to go shopping. Do take care! Urmstongran your joy at the prospect of freedom tomorrow is almost palpable. How lovely, after so long. I had a really 'down' day yesterday. I am, I thought anyway, a bit of a loner, so was shocked to feel so lonely. I'm used to teaching my tai chi classes and knowing that what I did was helping so many people but now I can think of no way to help in this awful situation. Except of course to stay locked away, which feels equally negative. The thing that got to me yesterday was imagining lockdown going on til my 80th next year and then being told that now everyone was free except the over eighties!
How silly, but that really got to me.
However a jokey exchange with my two DSs on family WhatsApp made me laugh today so I'm back on track again. Also a more serious 'chat' with DD. After being widowed four years ago, with a 10 and 12 year old, she has now met a lovely man. Lockdown has kept them apart, but she says that lockdown all together (he is also widowed with three sons) would have been too much too soon. So glad she feels like that, and of course social media is there and such a blessing for them. So onwards, upwards and positive. ? Qué Serra, Serra? is going to be my mantra. Does anyone else remember that from the 50s? Have a good day everyone, and love and ? to those with worries, pain and illness. ?
