And now in the Daily Mail - ‘whilst struggling to hold back tears’ we have Boris admitting that he ‘never struggled to breath’ - whilst in hospital - More fibs/spin - you really couldn’t make it up! But I will give his team credit for their expert handling of the ‘presentational’ aspect of this yarn.

Well it would appear that the whole of St Thomas's hospital were in cahoots with the whole of Downing Street in one massive spoof! Oh and those lovely nurses were also part of this deception ! What an interesting theory, I've read today that the announcement of Boris's death had been prepared! clearly another lie! Obviously one big enormous plot. Oh, and baby is clearly another set up in carhoots with UCH this time! So that's two major London hospitals in league with just about everyone, in order to???!!!! MawB I have the same (tertiary) level of education as BJ - self funded - plus postgrad quals. you spotted my typo - I am astounded by the level of aggression and personal insults - I am minded to report - I should add I’ve never made any comments disparaging or negative or otherwise re any medical staff for whom my praise and gratitude is never less than sincere and fulsome - it does however say a lot about those who infer I don’t value their skills and expertise. It’s been sad to see how nasty people can be online - hopefully those behaviours are kept under wraps in real life.

Can anyone predict what the next generation of babies' names will be?
When #1 son was born 50yrs ago I was accused by a friend at the time of giving him "an old man's name"
nothing changes.
Names which sound horrible to me, are loved by others.
Names often have associations with someone you liked or didn't like.
I will never forget passing a pram about 35 years ago and the baby inside being called Elvis.

What I don't like is "human" names being given to animals but when I was a child I enjoyed naming my guinea pigs after pop stars or names I liked at the time.

I think it will be the sixties and seventies names like Karen/Carol/Susan/Michael/Gary/Brian. Those of us born then will probably be as to why any young parent would find these names appealing but fashions change all the time and come round in circles.

Exactly notanan2 anyone who has experienced ICU as a patient or visitor will know that the mask mostly used in ICU is in fact a plastic “bubble” hood strapped around the shoulders ( so you are virtually strung up ) which is then blown up and sealed . Oxygen is then forced into the hood . Scary to see and terrifying for the patient .

I can’t believe anyone would think this was anything but very serious .

I don’t mind the name Wilfred . It wouldn’t be my choice but it’s not my baby . There are far worse names . Mine for example .

At least Wilfred has got off lightly compared with one of his other sons who has Apollo as a middle name! What goes through these people's minds? They're supposed to be naming a child, not a horse.

Names from the period around World War 1 seem to be really popular.Our grandads names, of course, Wilfred, Alfie Fred
Harry etc.
These are new names to many younger people.

I approve.Wilfred was my Grandad’s name though he was called Wilf by my Grandma and Bill by everyone else.
