What will you MISS when the lock down ends??

I know what we all miss with the lock down- seeing hairdresser ( 1st priority) DGC, clothes shopping ,yoga class, coffee with friends etc. but will there be something you will miss once we get back to normal?
I know I will miss sitting on the sunbed ALL afternoon with a Kindle full of books.
I will have to get up earlier again as DH will (hopefully) be going back to work.
I will miss going round a nice quiet supermarket as we are only allowed a certain number of shoppers in at the moment- I won't mind the queue outside but TBH you do get to chat to some interesting people.
I will miss the total lack of urgency for anything to be done too.
There have been good things come out of this- I know every neighbour in our cul de sac now as we all chat after 'clapping' & have had several 'street parties' where we all sit outside our own houses & walk up middle of road talking to each other. Lovely to see the children playing.
I have actually enjoyed my daily walk too instead of jumping in the car all the time.
I know our cats will miss not having a convenient lap available all day.
There have been positives in all this madness.

I won't miss anything. I recently retired, and started classes which I enjoyed, but lockdown caused them to close.

I will miss the litter free streets and the absence of Jehovah's Witness plagueing me .

Birdsong, clean air, quiet roads, no pressure to be anywhere I don't want to be, companionship with Mr P without interruption, clean windows without little finger marks, actually no not that last one!

Lucca Good for you. Some of us (me) have had to drive to our place of work (key worker)

I will miss having so much time to do things, no other commitments,
Nice to not have to clock watch or be somewhere, enjoying time for growing veg. Quiet roads, actually thinking about it lots of things, but it will be nice to have freedom to see family and friends again.

I've loved the slower pace.
I'm a poor sleeper and if I get to sleep at 8am that's been ok.
It will be wonderful to do the 2 days childcare again and have so much missed hugs from dgc.

But just a little part of me has enjoyed the lack of sticky fingers and not getting breakfast ready for their 7am arrival.

I shall miss the Joe Stilgoe Sessions in the Shed broadcast on Youtube every day. Such a talented and nice guy. He seems to be a walking music encyclopedia. He has birdsong in the background.

Genie10 you beat me to it. I don't want to give up the lovely clean air, lack of pollution and all the birds and animals that have suddenly appeared in sharp focus. It will be such a shame to go back to how it was.

Chewbacca, make you right! No bra, no make up, no formal clothes, working at home on my puter in my nighty if I felt like it. Slob ain't I? grin

I will miss the scenery on my drive to work over Pendle Hill. I have been deployed to a different service within the NHS and will return to my usual service and place of work once it's back up and running.

As we all get back to normal life, I think less people will be exercising, I enjoy chatting to random local people on my walks, at a safe distance. I don't think neighbours will look out for each other quite the way they are now. I will miss sitting in the sun all afternoon, not clock watching and not feeling guilty. I will miss all the free time I have to follow my hobbies. I think the environment will suffer again too, I will miss the lack of chem trails in the air, the fresher air I'm breathing because of less traffic on the road etc

The peace, the quiet, the fresh air.
Not having any appointments at all.
Lazing about, all day if I want to.
Putting most things off until tomorrow....or the next day...or whenever.

I think I wrote my last post on a lovely sunny cheerful day. Because right now I just want this to end before I lose my sanity.
