What time do you get up and go to bed?
What were your dream names for your kids when you were growing up?
I am so very sorry. My computer has died on me. Am having to use MacS's and am in a bit of a pickle. Just wanted to open this new kitchen and try to catch up later.
Your sunset photo’s are a balm for the soul soop.
Soop - Thank you so much for the beautiful photos. You certainly do live in a beautiful part of the world.
My friend is in hospital and hopefully they will get her re-hydrated and keep an eye on the infected leg as well. It has been a terrible time for her and her family and I just wished I could do more for her. I am going to do some painting today to try and unwind.
See you all later with some home made sausage rolls, cheese and onion pie and a cuppa.
Stay safe and sane.
Puzzler and Purple Here are three photos taken through the window just last night.
(((hugs)))
I think I could lose myself in those sunsets, they are almost three dimensional.
How I envy your views from home soop.
Don’t ever stop photographing them - they personify the magnificence of the natural world ?
Puzzler The natural world needs no Botox. It is beautiful just the way it is. x
Purplepixie, please can I come and have some of that lovely food? ❤️
Purplepixie I hope you found some solace painting today.
Wishing your friend well, and hope you get good news soon. ?
How did you know homemade sausage rolls are my favourite savoury bake? Mmmmm. Delicious!
Carillion and Puzzler join me in the quiet corner. We'll blether and share the delicious food.
I'm logging off for now. However, all being well, I shall join you again tomorrow and wish you ALL a peaceful and pleasant Sunday evening.

Anything homemade is possibly my favourites savoury bake, Puzzler, so race you to the table?
What a fantastic day it's been. I have totally relaxed and it does look as if others are managing this too (*soop, please raise your hand*). We are just going to have a G&T and try to ignore the Swallows racing across the surface of the pool and missing us by inches. I'm sure they do it deliberately - a kind of territorial thing at the moment.
Tomorrow we are going to Montpellier - my most favourite place. Unfortunately not for the usual window shopping, strolling, pausing for coffee or sitting at a boulevard or little alley lunch table and listening to the music and buzz of the diners. Just for a business appointment, masks on, masks off and back home. Such a shame. But, we're not ill so must stop daydreaming about things we can't have - at the moment.
Hope that your little Hattie is back, MawB. I've been worried. Chloe has to go to the Vet for her "Rage" (rabies) vaccination. We prefer to use the French word in a humorous way because it makes her and us a bit cross, we don't like giving it to her but we're unable to travel anywhere if she's not covered .....and if we had an emergency and had to go to foreign parts, we'd be stuck. Ludo's is another time, unfortunately.
Then some friends round for a drink and some tapas, and to stare into the twilight and relax.
Have a happy end to the day. Hugs to the Kitcheners and to all you lovely missing people! Know you're watching. Come back soon and in the meantime please take care. x
My whole being shudders Grandmafrench at the mention of Montpelier.
I once stood in the wrong queue at Nantes Atlantique thinking I was going to board a flight to Paris CDG on the way to my mother’s funeral on the Isle of Skye.
I was so bewildered but fortunately the plane was held for me and I made the connection to Glasgow IA.
Strange times! Travel safely.
Should have explained, I was in the queue for the flight to Montpelier, a very popular destination.
Grandmafrench I feel a definite affinity with you, your kind ways and words, your life in France.
I could slip into similar shoes to yours and be very happy with your swallows, your pool, your cats and just your outdoor lifestyle.
We spent many happy holidays in France - always in gites - and I have such happy memories and photo’s. My friend and I -and both our husbands - loved that country; unfortunately she was taken too young and is no longer with us.
We’ll share the sausage rolls with anyone else who wants to come in our quiet corner, contemplating the world and munching ?.
Good morning all in this lovely warm kitchen.
Soop - Thank you so much for those beautiful photos, they certainly cheered me up.
My friend has had a comfortable couple of days in hospital and they say they are getting on top of the infection in her leg. The problem is the MS and the fact that things just don’t heal the way they should.
I finished my foxglove painting and I have decided to get it framed and send it to my friend. Here it is:-
The sausage rolls came out lovely as I put some cooked apple with the pork sausages. I’ll leave some in the kitchen for everyone.
See you all later as I have to tidy the kitchen and hopefully get some washing hung outside. Stay safe and sane. Sending love and hugs to all who are suffering - I wish I could take away everyone’s pain.
WOW ! PP - how clever are you?! Same for the sausage rolls! x
Beautiful and strangely calming picture PP
Absolutely love your picture Purplepixie, you are very takented???
I am glad your friend is comfortable and that they seem to have got on top of the infection.
Having a stressful day today mainly caused by mother who is taking the word of her neighbour as gospel re COVID precautions.I have spent over an hour on the phone to her trying to explain but got nowhere.DH was chuckling away which was not the reaction or support I needed.Took a deep breath and have taken myself into the conservatory to try and relax/calm down? Not normally a drinking person but honestly feel like I need a large glass of something?
Thank you for letting me rant.I will return when I am calmer!!
It takes a lot of skill to paint the wind, but in your picture, PP, you can see that there's a light breeze ruffling the foxgloves and grasses. Beautifully done.
I'll pass on the sausage rolls as I'm a veggie. Still haven't tried Griegg's vegan ones - somehow don't fancy them.
That’s a beautiful picture PP !
PP that is just beautiful. You certainly have a talent.
The weather here is glorious, my car is returning having had its annual service and MOT and I did not have to sit down when I heard the price but I did for future work which I think the next owner can pay for because I do not intend returning to work to pay for it.
Susan, of course your mother's neighbour is correct!!! I have a friend just like that.
I hope Henry is keeping you and DH on your toes and has not wrecked the house.
TOYA
Purplepixie Your painting is a joy. You have captured the feeling of peace and tranquility perfectly. Your friend will be delighted.
Maw What news of our Hattie? If you get a free moment, please update us.
Grandmafrench Your posts add a touch of the exotic to our kitchen. When we walk through our pretty village, there is a near derelict lodge that now belongs to the swallows who return year after year. One of the upper windows is left partially boarded. It their very own entrance and under the rafters, can be seen a whole lot of activity accompanied by merry twitterings.
purplepixie sorry your friend is feeling poorly again. Good that they think the infection is being controlled. Hope she’s back home safely soon.
Your foxglove painting is super. Another talented artist ?
Ah soop thank you for the explanation of your lovely family. Does your Tim look like Matt Torben’s dad or is that just my imagination? ? You really should make a book of your sunsets. They are so varied and beautiful.
izabella interesting that someone else is doing an Alzheimer’s blog. The more people share the more others can understand.
dragonfly we miss you. Hope you are ok.
grandmafrench I felt relaxed just reading your post. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend.
TOYA ?
Oops forgot to mention the lovely Hattie. Hope she is on the mend maw. Is she home yet?
Still not sure about the stallions eye come to think of it.
Thank you all for your kind words.
Izabella - I love your stallion picture - you are so talented. I have done a horse in the past but in pastels and I wasn’t comfortable with that medium. Well done to you.
Maw - How is Hattie?
Love to all.
