Please don’t jump down my throat, I am making an observation, not criticising but does anyone else think Wilfred is very long/tall for an 11 week old?
In yesterday’s photograph he looks almost ready for standing.

I was not making any point at all.
I just made an observation that the baby was perhaps longer or taller than SOME other babies.
Nothing sinister, plotting or even suggesting anything else.
After many years I think I am coming to realise the perhaps GN is no longer for me.

No, annsixty it is for you!

I can't see what was wrong with your OP and it has brought about some nice posts about relative baby sizes, babies' hair etc.

My favourite is kittylester's who fed the wrong baby! grin

I did worry when they took my first-born away for the rest of the night, saying "get some sleep now, dear". I couldn't sleep because I thought that, not only was there something wrong with her but that I hadn't seen her properly and I would never know if they brought me the wrong baby the next morning.

I think I got the right one grin

Why come on a thread you have no interest in purely to say you have no interest!

To try and spoil the thread for the members that enjoy discussing the PM’s new baby; in much the same way they do the RF threads. No interest, supposedly, but can’t stop posting.

I love babies and he does look a strapping lad with his father’s unruly mop?

I had an embarrassing moment with my friends first baby.
I had not long had mine as as we all know caesarean babies come out beautiful.
My friends baby was a natural birth and he weighed 11 1b.
I went round to see them as soon as it was polite do do so.
I looked in the crib to oooh and aaah and for a split second I couldn't say anything. My dear friend, quick as a flash said^i know, he's not the prettiest baby you've ever seen^ phew ?
She found the birth not to bad ? as she had practiced ballet into her early 20s.

Kittylester! grin grin

My friend’s first baby weighed 10lb 8oz and her second was 12lb 4oz. She was informed that he was the biggest baby the maternity unit had had that year, an accolade she would have preferred not to have had. We were all a little disappointed she didn’t have a third baby! ??

I think Ann's point was that Boris' baby seems long.

I think that people that eulogise about Johnson and his partner have never been through a painful divorce where their husband has had an affair and you see how devastated and betrayed your children are by it. To me, Symonds is a marriage breaker and Johnson is a cheat.

MissAdventure Tue 21-Jul-20 15:25:09

Does that affect the length of people's babies, though?

Possibly.

As DGS was 10 lbs 10 ozs and very long I dread to think how huge he would have been if DD and SIL hadn't been married (to each other).

Maybe70- hear hear. Same for me (and I have not been through this, but can imagine).

Wrong. I have been through a painful divorce in similar circumstances and I am fairly tired of people sitting in judgement. I don't eulogise about Boris and his partner but it didn't stop me voting for him because it is his politics which interest me. My children were not devastated or betrayed by the divorce although probably glad an unhappy marriage marriage was over; it didn't stop any of us being upset and sympathetic when he was ill. So many people making unsubstantiated statements about other people's feelings.

Callistemon Tue 21-Jul-20 18:39:15

I didn't vote for him but I can comment on the length of a baby
Can't I?

MissAdventure Tue 21-Jul-20 19:00:10

Is it allowed, seeing as you aren't divorced? smile

Deedaa Tue 21-Jul-20 19:50:40

I was wondering when the situation would get so bad that Boris would decide to wheel the baby out.

Not quite.
I nearly did yesterday.

MayBee70 Tue 21-Jul-20 20:49:30

I never said I wasn’t sympathetic when he was ill. In fact I spent two sleepless nights when he was in intensive care. So an assumption has been made about my how I feel. However, when I see pictures of Johnson, his partner and their child I wonder how his ex wife and his children feel about it all and, from what I’ve read they are pretty upset.

GrannyLaine Tue 21-Jul-20 21:15:27

Or on the other hand MayBee, they may be hugely relieved that he's someone else's responsibility now. wink
