Don't stop posting EllanVannin I always enjoy your posts very much.

I'm with Grandmafrench - we don't want to have to send the grans around!

harrigran Tue 22-Sept-20 10:05:21

Good morning from a sunny NE.
Flu vaccination this morning, DH was not very well after his so pleased we didn't have them at the same time.
Sat in the garden yesterday, such a bonus in the north to be able to do it in September.
Message from GD2 to say that she was student of the week for her maths work, so proud. She has only been at the school for less than two weeks, moved her from a village school into a city centre where she did not know anybody.

HAZBEEN Tue 22-Sept-20 10:17:30

Good morning all from a sunny Surrey.
Firstly XXX to EV! Please don't let one nasty individual get under your skin, I haven't been posting on here for long but I have read the thread for a long time and love to hear from everyone so don't change PLEASE! I have had so much support both on the forums and in PMs from lovely GNers and I love this thread for the insight into everyones lives.
Not a lot happening in my life today! I am just having another easy sofa day and letting OH serve me plenty of tea!
Take care all and stay safe X

NannyJan53 Tue 22-Sept-20 10:25:14

Another one saying Ellan please do not stop posting, don't let a nasty individual define what you can do or say. We all enjoy your postings of life xxxx

Maw,I hope Hattie gets on ok today?

Ellan, please don’t go.I am another who looks forward to your posts.I was brought up in Liverpool and look forward to your posts from Costa Del Mersey and I love your positive outlook?I agree that GNHQ should look at the people reporting posts?

Thinking of gilly?and all with illness and worries.Hope you are feeling better Cherry?and Georgesgran hoping your DH gets improved blood test results and his treatment can go ahead as planned?

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 22-Sept-20 10:46:26

Good Morning all from sunny Harrogate - shall have to be quick, there is washing to hang out as I await the return of DH who took the dog in the car for a walk!! After his return and morning coffee there's plenty of baking to do, should have been done yesterday but was too busy updating my macbook after buying an external hard drive.

Hope all are well and able to enjoy the sun

Urmstongran Tue 22-Sept-20 10:48:36

Sun’s up here! ?
Good morning everyone from Malaga where I’m late posting owing to a poor WiFi signal this morning (?why).

Best to be short & sweet from me then (you’ll heave a sigh of relief perhaps) ?

Tuesday = my ladies who wine afternoon. I missed last week because of my bug so there’ll be catching up to do. I think bank accounts in the UK for those who are resident here will be one topic of discussion.

Hope Tuesday is good to us all. Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x

Urmstongran Tue 22-Sept-20 10:56:23

EV you are one of my favourites on here. Please don’t leave. I’d really miss you.
?

Hope Hattie gets well soon Maw I can understand your anxiety. x

mrswoo Tue 22-Sept-20 11:05:14

I wasn't going to post today as I had such a dreadful night's sleep my brain is a bit scrambled and didn't think I'd be making much sense....
But
I felt I must join others in saying how sorry I am that EV has been reported and no longer feels able to post as much as before. Please dont stop Ellan, I love your gentle posts on this thread and look forward every morning to find out what you'll be eating that day. You would be very missed.

Doodle Tue 22-Sept-20 11:17:15

Maw hope all goes well for the lovely Hattie. Try not to worry too much.
gillybob still praying for you and yours. Hope you are ok.

Feelingmyage55 Tue 22-Sept-20 11:26:25

Good morning all. Very windy and quite chilly again here in the north of Scotland. I am considering a fleeting visit to a local garden centre tomorrow after they receive their weekly delivery and I have the widest choice. I don’t really need to research what is best to buy for the chilly winters here as they are very good at stocking what will survive and if I request something I used to grow elsewhere they kindly tell me that it wouldn’t survive the winter. I love their honest approach.
For no good reason I had a strangely unsettled night so a quiet day for me, watching a series that popped up on BBC iPlayer, “Land Girls” and finishing a very complicated jumper - the sewing up. My wee bauchle of a nana used to do that for me when she came to stay.
“gillybob”. ?. To all present and hovering have the best day you can.

CherryCezzy Tue 22-Sept-20 11:26:29

A good late morning to you all. The forecast for today was wrong! It was meant to be sunny but it's grey in the Gower ?

Thanks for your well wishes Susan, I'm okay at the moment - except for a bad back.

Maw I hope Hattie's blood test results are good.

What is it about hospitals at the moment, they should actually tell people they have appointments! Hope your DH's results are good Georgesgran ?

Nortsat, it's quite frightening for your dear cousin, hopefully the scan won't show anything sinister.

Don't let the simple b****r get you down Ellen X

Glad the side effects of your treatment are less potent Marydoll. I hope that they completely disappear ?

I should actually get on and do things ?. There is so much to do around the house. My WP is brilliant and does so much but with his chronic pain I can't contemplate him doing everything.

Hope you are back with us soon gillybob. I think dragonfly might be a little while before she returns.

Stay safe everyone ❤️

MawB2 Tue 22-Sept-20 11:33:09

Thank you Cherry it’s actually a kidney and abdominal scan - the bloods last week showed low thyroid levels but that is normal for sighthounds, but the urine sample showed the presence of protein which is worrying

However that is very minor compared to much of what is going on and happening to Grans- and I wish you all well.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Tue 22-Sept-20 11:35:23

Morning all, it's pleasant here in South Notts. The washing is out on the line and there's a little breeze.

A quietish day - I may or may not get a visit from sister, I really don't know at the moment. If not I'll sit and sew though I really should be tidying up.

Hope all is well with everyone, especially those with illness or worries.

Oldbutstilluseful Tue 22-Sept-20 11:41:00

A late good morning from sunny N Hants. Like another poster as I’ve absolutely nothing on today I wasn’t going to post, but would like to add my voice to others to EllanVannin not to stop posting. Along with so many others on this lovely thread you have the gift of making ordinary life interesting and humorous. I’d like to thank you all for starting my days in the best possible way.

grandMattie Tue 22-Sept-20 12:48:37

I agree with everyone. Stay on, Ellen. Other posts may have acerbic comments, this one doesn’t/shouldn’t! Xxx (am I allowed to? ) ?

Marydoll Tue 22-Sept-20 12:54:15

EV, don't you dare leave. You are a valued, long time member of GN.

So much nonsense going on at the moment, it spoils GN. !

JenniferEccles Tue 22-Sept-20 13:14:41

If you were feeling brave EV you could name and shame the poster.

If you stop posting the person will have won, won’t they?

mamaa Tue 22-Sept-20 13:22:36

Too late to be able to say Good morning and I rarely post however do read this thread every day and just wanted to add my plea to EV not to leave...thanks thanks

EllanVannin Tue 22-Sept-20 13:30:50

Oh yes, JenniferEccles it was she who objects to diversification of HER posts----Flyinghandbag !

The thread was deleted by GNHQ because of ALL the deletions in the thread but I was the one who was made an example of because my post was one of humour.

EllanVannin Tue 22-Sept-20 13:32:20

Can I thank all you ladies for showing your support flowers

Oopsadaisy4 Tue 22-Sept-20 13:35:26

Ellen you weren’t the only one!
Others were also contacted by GN HQ. Me included.

Taichinan Tue 22-Sept-20 13:45:55

Heaven"s above Ellan, please don't leave. That just let's the rather sad and unhappy person a feeling of victory! See you tomorrow please? Pretty please?

gillgran Tue 22-Sept-20 13:54:07
