They say a picture paints a thousand words and there have been some lovely photos on GN recently. I am a visual person and, especially at this time, pictures cheer me up. Autumn scenes, people's gardens, cake baking, craftwork, pets, clothes we fancy buying etc. Even stock images of Boris, royalty etc. What is the general feeling? Are they superfluous or do they add another dimension? Are we "allowed" to just drop them into a non photographic thread?
I loved the "Wedding Dress" thread. So interesting to see all the photos of the different brides in their beautiful dresses..........I had to describe mine as I don't know how to put a photo on here
I do like seeing photos on Gransnet, though I don't know how to add them myself.
Someone might explain it better, but first you click on the paperclip then select from your gallery. I think you have to put a comment in the box or it doesn't work.

That was very memorable DanniRae. A re run of mine!
I’ve seen your lovely paintings before Purplepixie, very gentle and pretty. Glad to see you’re still at it. Your flower photos are brilliant Lisagran. Great pick and amusing story Sheepandcattle.
Sorry about poor Chris Callistemon. Our friends had two ewes rescued from a rather neglectful farmer, they were called Worthless and Useless. They were much loved too in spite of given names.
I love taking photos and do so everywhere I go. Here are some of the last colours in the garden. Some lovely ones on this thread, I really enjoy seeing other people’s creativity.
Loving all the photos - thank you for the nice comments about Grannie Emily Gotsheim Stenzhorn I think they only took non-smiling photos in those days.
Two photos from our last visit to Australia earlier this year. One showing the totally blackened trunks and one just a few weeks later with the signs of regeneration.
