Good Morning Everyone ,
Its dark, wet and windy here in Brackley this morning.
I am planning to my usual today as I want to finish getting my Xmas gift cards .
But we have had a confirmed case of covid -19 in the building , although the letter sent to everyone states carers and essential visitors should continue .
Will give more tomorrow on how the day goes but will have cycling on Tv as well as its final week of the Vuelta .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from a calmer Torbay.

Yesterday, I enjoyed a lovely few hours with my DS and DGS who persuaded me to join them on a boat trip to view one of the several cruise liners that have been anchored off Torbay for some weeks. We were the only passengers on this particular trip which made it even more relaxing. It certainly blew away the cobwebs and gave us a close up view of the notorious Emerald Princess, on which suspected cases of coronavirus prevented it docking for several days in the USA, back in May.

Afterwards, we tucked in to an al fresco lunch in a sheltered part of the harbour. A happy memory to take into lockdown!

Wishing relief from cares and worries to those in need.

Good morning from a quiet E Kent. In the West, the sky is misty and the moon full and high. In the east, angry grey/pink clouds. Mixed messages!
DS2 sent a text yesterday showing his new haircut. The razor cover thingy slipped and he is now as bald as an egg. It makes him look strangely old - my baby!
Last tai chi for a while today as it’s too cold to do it outside. It’s a shame as several of our members live on their own and benefitted from the socialising afterwards.
Hygienist this afternoon - oh joy.
I hope that the sad, those in distress or pain have a good day. Stay safe everyone.

Good morning all from East Staffordshire where it is cool and dry but still very dark out there.
I have been spending money online and got my DGS a Pegasus Rocking Horse, I think I got a right bargain as it is in such good condition and it cost me all of £35 even DH is happy with it and he only checked it once for fleas!! He gets a bit funny about second hand fabric things?
A day at the factory today, we are still fairly busy, not that I’m complaining but I do like to ‘swan’ about sometimes and we are too busy for that!!
Well folks, I must get on, I have sandwiches to make and a dog to walk before work. Take care everyone and stay safe.

Good Morning everyone from a wet and dark Severnside.
You make me feel lazy Scentia sitting up in bed with tea and my bed jacket around my shoulders. It’s not really cold just a comfort thing.

I’ve a day of home work to do as I’d like to go out tomorrow.
I’ve found what looks like a cottage pie in the freezer so will have that at lunch time.
Those liners are scattered all over the south coast aren’t they Ashcombe ? I often see them on a seaside page I follow.

Stay safe all ?

Good morning all, it’s damp and cloudy in S Hants, tipped it down in the early hours. Ashcombe one of those boat trips was on the One Show yesterday, we saw some from Poole beach in September. It’s our 13th Wedding Ann today, 21 years together, a bunch of flowers has just appeared ? Fish and chip takeaway tonight..we know how to live! Other than that, a trip to the library, not sure if they’re staying open or not from Thursday. Sounds like a bargain Scentia, I love rocking horses, my dear Dad made one for my children. Have as good a day as possible all.

Good morning all from a wet Derbyshire. At least the wind has dropped.

Yesterday DH decided to go to the timber merchants to buy wood to fit some shelves in the spare bedroom cupboard. The impending lockdown, as well as winter, has got him looking for indoor jobs to do. Good news for me as I've been waiting a year for this to be done.

Today we're taking some late Halloween sweets over to our DGC in a nearby village. We won't go in, but will have a quick chat while standing on the drive. Not much else going on apart from our daily visit to check the girls are ok.

SIL went back to work yesterday. He is no longer infectious from covid but is still suffering fatigue and was absolutely shattered afterwards. I worry he is trying to go back to normal too soon.

Ashcombe I enjoyed seeing the cruise ships when I visited Torquay. Wish I'd had a boat trip to see them close up.

Hope everyone is feeling well and today is a good day.

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire. I haven’t peeked out of the window yet but I don’t hear wind or rain so that’s a bonus.

Yesterday I made a huge pot of lentil soup and another of pasta sauce which I decanted into various Tupperware cartons. I now realise that I shouldn’t have given DD my chest freezer from the garage, I may have to invest in another.

Today will be spent crocheting and keeping an eye on the election coverage across the water.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day. Look after yourselves.

Good morning from Malta where it’s another lovely day.

Yesterday turned out better than expected as I received a message from a friend asking if I fancied joining her for a walk in the afternoon. We went in separate cars, kept our masks on and kept our distance, but it was so lovely to be out in the fresh air and to have company. Photo attached.

Today I shall clean the car and pop to the local shop for milk, then it’s back home.

Wishing you all the best day possible.☀️

Good morning from a wet Cumbria!

Sar53 Tue 03-Nov-20 07:29:44

Good morning from a damp but brightening Essex by the sea. I believe rain is forecast for most of the day.
I have one of Marydoll's empties today as DH has an appointment in London. I intend making a tea loaf and a shepherds pie.
Unfortunately I have woken up with a very painful back again. Exactly the same place as before. DH says speak to the doctor but I'm not sure what they can do. Will try a couple of Ibuprofen first.
Have a pleasant Tuesday and stay safe everyone xx

Good morning All from a grey and damp Polmont. Babysitting again today. Yesterday was full on entertaining a toddler. We walked to the swings and then splashed in puddles. A phone call from a friend finished off the evening. Today is fish man day then later on I'll maybe walk to a local park with the boy. Have a good day all.

Good morning all from a soggy North Leicestershire.

Yesterday, we went to the garden centre which is reputed to have the best Christmas decorations but I was very disappointed. She the hunt goes on!!

Today, the electrician is coming to put up new outside light and to hang the new lounge lights. We are also expecting a Waitrose delivery and have to nip to the pieman who comes to the pub carpark every Tuesday.

A quick trip to the charity shop to drop some stuff off to fit in too.

Have the best day possible everyone.

dragonfly46 Tue 03-Nov-20 07:36:29

GrannySomerset Tue 03-Nov-20 07:44:03

Sunny morning but random clouds building so who knows? New washing machine due between 10.00 and 2.00 - such excitement - and some friends coming for a cup of tea, so I need to make some gf flapjack to add to the non-gf fruit cake.. Must make the most of the next two days!

Trying to stay positive but it’s getting harder. Hope we all have the best day possible.

Pantglas2 Tue 03-Nov-20 07:49:32

Good morning from a rainy Black Country.

A lovely walk yesterday, it was a bright sunny day mostly. This will be the last Walking for Health walk for a while.

Partner is off on his club cycle ride, which again will be the last for sometime. I will walk into town for a couple of birthday cards and my last 2 Christmas cards.

Had a phone call from DD yesterday just before noon. As she is at work, I knew there must be a problem. Her DH had a dizzy spell Sunday, and when he rang the Doctors they advised a trip to hospital for a scan. Think they are being cautious after his bleed on brain last December. Luckily all was fine. Another cheer for the promptness of our NHS!

Feeling rather low as Thursday approaches, not sure if I can even visit Mum, even though she is in our bubble? My car is booked for MOT next week, so not sure if that can go ahead? Will ring the garage later.

Wishing you all the best day possible.
