Hello, Kitchen Peeps. What lovely lovely news, BladeAnnie. Just what is needed as a cheery upper. Hope that she stays well and is as excited as you are?!
Well, lots of the white stuff in various forms all over the threads today. I do like snow but it must be a) powdery and dry b) in large soft quantities c) accompanied by sunshine and clear skies and d) clear off as quickly and thoroughly as possible, leaving no trace of greyness, slush, grit, dirt, or puddles. Seems I shall need to stick to ski resorts - who would be having a wonderful season, at least in France, due to the heavy falls all this winter. So sad, they are all closed.
GG not sure whether the little person in the amber coloured jacket is a girlie or a chap, but looks to be having fun. I have a snowboarding jacket (I know, act my age and not my shoe size) in exactly that colour. Bought, I am proud to announce, in 1985 but worn regularly only in the South of France winters. Go figure !
soop, that Fern is a bit of a flighty piece, isn't she? I so laughed at your timing her to try to tie in with the Photofit sent to you by a chap some 6 miles away. Maybe she does have a small Catmobile - or a motorcycle. Whatever she does, wherever she goes, she certainly gets about. No wonder she needs a 5* Restaurant diet and a plentiful supply of soft blankets, as well as you and Mr Soop, Buttling for dear life at all hours regarding room service. And does she have a foot spa? I mention this to avoid you incurring her displeasure if she either misses the bus to yours or her personal transport breaks down.
We have had a shower of rain this afternoon - shock, horror. My pot of big fat hyacinths is showing all the bulb tops now and I am about to have the pleasure of a flowering Orchid on my bedside table again. The flowering period seems to last for ever, but it's been quite a wait for the blooms again (3 plus months). A photo will be posted once the flowers arrive.
Hope you are all keeping safe. If you are reading this, dear Panache, hugs and the kindest of wishes coming your way. To anyone having a tough time, lean on all the Kitcheners - they'll always listen, care, sympathise, advise .....and usually they have cake !
Have a good evening, all. x
