Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, but looks windy and dry here in Brackley this morning.
Plans today , make some lunch , also do a small shop, hoping today sees milder weather out there for us .
Considering my health check tomorrow .
Maybe just need a little bit more time to recover from my hospital ordeal .
Take care,
Mick

Morning Mick and All.

Too dark to say what it is like here in South Bucks.

Please Mick have your health check tomorrow. I know you disliked your hospital visit but it is so important to do everything you can to keep yourself well. Having the check could stop you having to return for a hospital stay.

This time next week the weather man said we could feeling the start of Spring in the south jippee.

grandMattie Sun 14-Feb-21 06:40:22

Good morning from a dancing day in E Kent. The horizon is lined with pinkish clouds.
Mick, all us wimmin aren’t ganging up against you. We look for your best interests.
Usual nothing today - virtual church, roast lamb.
DH called me querulous the other day and wondered why I was offended; he meant querying!
Wishing for the best day for everyone. Stay safe. ?

Dancing? = dawning

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire, I haven’t peeped out yet but I reckon it’ll be cold.

Please look after yourself Mick, you seem to be out and about a lot after your hospital stay.

Nothing much on today, there will be rugby on tv and I’ll potter around being busy doing nothing.

Have a peaceful Sunday everyone.

Gagagran Sun 14-Feb-21 06:53:14

Morning all. 2.4c on my weather station at 6am so the temperature's rising. (sounds like a song!)

Another quiet day looms. Can I join you in pottering around being busy doing nothing baubles?

Hope the day is a good one for us all and I get some of my mojo back.

Take care and keep safe everyone.sunshine

Good morning from a chilly Malta. We’ve had rain this morning but it has brightened up.

I like the sound of a ‘dancing day’, grandMattie ?

I’m watching tennis in my pj’s and wondering when I can fit in a shower and getting dressed between matches. I don’t like sitting about in my nightwear even though it’s just me and the dog at home.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.❤️

Beechnut Sun 14-Feb-21 07:03:04

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s a mother chilly one. We had snow yesterday afternoon and it was sticking. It’s gone now.

I sorted out some photos yesterday for my daughter and sent them to her.

Your collage is beautiful Gelisa. I’m guessing it’s Morecombe.

I’ll be tidying today there seems to be a lot of stuff I’ve just put down and not in it’s rightful home.

Stay warm and safe, and that means you too Mick and as it’s February 14th ??

cornergran Sun 14-Feb-21 07:27:58

Morning Mick, morning All. Wet start to our corner of Somerset, feels a little less cold.

Caught up late yesterday mick, sorry to see your GP didn’t recommend the covid vaccination for you just yet. Sounds as if the health check is essential. Please take care out and about.

No pink clouds for us grandmattie, grey, grey, grey here. Had three chatty, enjoyable phone calls yesterday, really lifted spirits. Need to write a letter about some medical stuff and drop it off today, nothing else that must be done other than organise a meal for this evening.

Hope all those lost mojos come out of hiding soon. Take care everyone, look after yourselves. .

Good morning from Essex by the sea where it is still cold and very windy but warmer weather is forecast for the coming week.
I'm having a Zoom call with my girls later and I'm sure I will see all five granddaughters at some stage, looking forward to it.
Roast pork later and I believe there is some rugby on tv this afternoon.
Enjoy Sunday, find a ? and stay safe everyone xx

Ashcombe Sun 14-Feb-21 07:46:36

Good morning, one and all from a damp but slightly milder Torbay. I'm late today - the vaccination has made me sleepy!

Happy ?Valentine's ❤️Day! DH has rung from France to order flowers from our local florist, whom we regularly patronise, and they will be delivered this afternoon to ensure I’m back from church. Pictures tomorrow!!

I expect Mick likes to shop daily for the company and to get out for a while but, given his recent health concerns, it may not be the wisest thing. Perhaps this could be discussed tomorrow at his check up.

Another early start as I’m playing the piano at church again. I've found some fingerless gloves so I shall try them out, even though I’ll resemble Fagin!!

Enjoy your day of rest....! ?

maydonoz Sun 14-Feb-21 07:49:16

Good morning all from Welwyn, Herts where it looks cold but dry. If it's anything like yesterday, it was freezing here but hopefully this week will see the end of this cold spell.
The highlight of our week was having our vaccines on Monday, it was a very smooth, well-organised work with all the NHS staff and volunteers. We were both in and out of the building in about 15 mins. Everybody was lovely, calm and polite. The only side-effect I had was a bit of headache the following day, which a couple of simple analgesics sorted so all was well.
Wishing you all a pleasant Sunday.

Gelisajams Sun 14-Feb-21 07:51:19

Good morning from a breezy Morecambe Bay. Hopefully it is going to get a bit warmer over the next few days. Thank you all so much for your kind words about my collage. It’s based on Golden Cap between Charmouth and Bridport in Dorset. Not far from where Broadchurch was filmed.
Yesterday my hat turned up! It’s been ‘lost’ for about a month. It was actually in the car. I’m sure it wasn’t there when I looked for it at least 3times. DH looked as well. But it just appeared! I was convinced I’d dropped it on a walk as I often take it off as I get hot.
Zoom church later but not a lot else planned. Much depends on how DH is feeling.
Wishing everyone the best day possible and for those for whom this day brings extra sadness ?
Take care everyone stay safe ?

BlueSapphire Sun 14-Feb-21 07:51:54

Good morning everyone from a very grey and cold Northampton. Shall not be venturing out.

Just more of the same today, nothing new. Shall watch the Ireland/France rugby match this afternoon. Feeling slightly more optimistic after a win for England yesterday.

Yet more wool arrived yesterday! I just have the finishing touches to put to my cardigan then can start something new. Must ring the supplier tomorrow as one of my orders placed over 10 days ago has not yet arrived - the tracking tells me it has been sent, but it appears to be lost.

Missing my DH on Valentine's Day.

kittylester Sun 14-Feb-21 07:56:54

Good morning all from a cold but bright ish North Leicestershire.

Not a lot on today just a lovely video chat with DD2 and co and then roast beef for lunch.

I was so touched this morning as dh had made me a Valentine's card with origami hearts.

So sorry to hear the sad news about jingle yesterday.

Have the best day possible.

brook2704 Sun 14-Feb-21 08:01:32

Good morning everyone from Inverness where I’m so pleased that the forecast says it’s warming up nicely thank you, with a dizzy high of 7º later this afternoon. That should shift the snow ?
I like the idea of a dancing day grandmattie bring it on!
Yesterday was a bitterly cold day with a biting wind but we still met up with DD2 and the DGC for a couple of hours and they had a good run around in the very fresh air. I was so pleased to get back in the car and once we got home I didn’t move off the sofa.
No idea what to do today, the pounds are creeping on a bit as I need to keep active otherwise there’s no hope for me as I enjoy my food so much. No gym of course either which always helps a bit
Hoping for a video call later with DS, it’s well over a year since I’ve seen him and its 6 months since I’ve seen DD1 and my other two DGC. Like so many others I’m desperate to see them all again and finding it tough going.
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today, however small and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Grandmafrench Sun 14-Feb-21 08:01:53

Good Morning everyone. Sunny now in S of France but rain forecast for today.

Wonderful afternoon on the beach yesterday. The men fished, I read, I took the dogs for a lovely walk but the perishers abandoned me whilst I was poo-picking and even my shouty voice didn’t stop them once they had got far enough away. They were chasing each other and larking about until they got back to Daddy! Such gratitude! I turned up eventually when they pretended they were pleased to see me!

A different lunch today - 5 separate curries which DH is preparing. This will give us an extra meal in the week. After such deliciousness....a film by the fire. An actual do nothing Sunday rather than an I-ought -to-be -doing one.

Hope your UK weather warms up now and snow quickly clears. Some Spring type days now required to lift the spirits. Wishing you all good things, stay safe, stay positive.

Hugs from (a vaccine-free ?) France where my Swear Jar is overflowing and mojos are due a fit of the vapours. ?

Good morning Mick and all from a slightly milder S Welsh coast, still a cold wind though. Goodness it was a raw day yesterday with sleet and snow, all gone now.
Trying to retrieve my mojo, ironing still not done. Mr L wished me a Happy Valentine's Day and said I'm sorry I haven't got you anything, as if I mind, it's the thought that counts bless him.
Beef casserole today with suet dumplings, followed by some defrosted chocolate torte.
Look after yourself Mick, it is still too cold for you to be out and about.
Looking forward to a zoom call with family later.
Have a pleasant day all, enjoy your flowers Ash.
Stay safe.

Dwmxwg Sun 14-Feb-21 08:02:22

Happy Valentines Sunday. A grey day here in north Surrey. I have just been on google and it is a valentines google today.
Caught up with Marydolls news of her friends GD and baby, so glad all has turned out well.
DH has brought me tea in bed, I have a sore throat again but think it is wearing facemask all day at work and not drinking enough.
A dog walk is planned and I will get my weights out for a session, my home exercise routine has been pretty much non existent the past few weeks, need to get my routines back on track.
A WhatsApp video call this afternoon with old friends and then DH is cooking steak dinner with cheesecake to follow and we will find something romantic to watch on TV. We both enjoy the period dramas so I’m sure I will find something.
Thinking of Georgesgran and all those with worries. Take care and have a good Sunday

harrigran Sun 14-Feb-21 08:11:40

Good morning from a windy, overcast NE where it is -1.
DH brought me a lovely card and a box of chocolates with my cup of tea this morning.
Nothing planned for today so I will probably read the newspaper and do the crossword.
Take care while we still have ice.

Dwmxwg Sun 14-Feb-21 08:11:54

Gelisajams have just looked at your beautiful collage now we know it is Goldencap. One of my favourite places to walk in Devon and your picture does it justice. We walked it last summer, on a warm sunny day, with DD and GSs, they loved it too despite the “how much longer” comments ?

Elizabeth1 Sun 14-Feb-21 08:15:36

Good morning everyone from a windy, cold east coast of Fife. I had the best day in a while yesterday however the horrible headaches and temp came back through the night just when I thought the antibiotics had got rid of my UTI I wonder if I’ll still get my vaccine with an infection. I think a rest day today comes to mind what fun I had yesterday with my youngest gs perhaps if I’m up for it I’ll FaceTime him later on, at least I’ll get a laugh he’s so funny ? keep safe all you lovely gns look out for patches of ice which could well be lethal. I heard of 2 folks yesterday slipping over resulting in broken limbs ouch

Marydoll Sun 14-Feb-21 08:17:20

Good morning all from a slightly warmer Glasgow, where its 1°C.

Having lost track of dates, I only realised in bed last night that it was the 46th anniversary of DH's, tipsy proposal under a lamp post! ? We had only been going out three months, but I knew from the start, that he was the one. However, we were afraid that our parents would not approve and kept it a secret until June, the last day of my finals.
My mother said, she couldn't believe we had left it so long, we were so obviously in love. ?

Another gentle day planned here. A wee bit better again today, although I have a sore throat. Who is complaining? Not me! I believe it's a less common side effect, but it means my weakened immune system is responding.

I didn't do much at all yesterday, but I find inactivity hard to deal with, as you all know. However, I have slowly been developing an inner acceptance and peace of my limitations and failing health.

I got some lovely news yesterday. My friend's daughter nearly died after not one, but two ectopic pregnancies. After six years of trying she is expecting a baby again in August. I shall be asking for those powerful prayers again.

I'm going to be blunt Mick and say what I know many are thinking, but are not saying, for fear of upsetting you.
You are vulnerable because of your age and health conditions. Why on earth are you so reckless and putting your life and others at risk, by going out nearly every day? If you have to go out, once a week should be sufficient.
Everytime you go out maskless and visorless, you increase your chances of catching the virus, especially as your GP wouldn't vaccinate you. sad That should tell you that your GP is concerned about you.
I wouldn't be saying this, if I didn't care! However, this will be the last time I will remind you.

Have a good day, folks.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 14-Feb-21 08:28:57

Good morning Mick and all

It’s grey and breezy here in S E Essex. Nothing planned for today other than roast lamb for dinner, I may do dauphinois potatoes instead of roast, and knock up something for a starter as it’s Valentines Day. My kindle and sofa will be occupied for the majority of the day.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Gingster Sun 14-Feb-21 08:34:26

Good morning from a pink-Skyed Essex. The snow has almost all gone -just a little still on roof tops.

DS2 just messaged with pics of the virtual cocktail party they had last night with 3 other couples for a 40th birthday. It’s amazing what you can do to celebrate when you put your mind to it. DDinlaw is a whizz with things like that. She’s a top PA to a big wig in the city, so always organising something lavish. It’s our golden wedding in July. I’ll have to drop a few hints. ?.

Have a happy Valentine’s Day, those who celebrate it. ?♥️?
