Today in the shower I decided to shave my legs a tad better than usual due to spring being on it way ! smile
So instead as the usual quick up and down I used shaving gel and took my time going up all the leg all over a few times .
Then it was the armpits , did one and could see I wasn't doing a very good job , so did it again - still rubbish.
Had a good look at the razor - I hadn't taken the plastic safety guard off !

That’s funny! I went to Tesco for just a few things spent nearly forty pounds forgot what I went in for. I came home prepared chicken casserole for DH tea I forgot to put the oven on. So the one night I forgot DH is starving and impatient.

Yes.waited around for a phone appointment with consultant convinced today was Wednesday, it is not by the way.

Mollygo Tue 16-Mar-21 18:55:34

Hellsbelles ?? I have done that with my armpits, but my DH, turned from the mirror where he was shaving and said, “You’ll never get anywhere like that!”
My daft behaviour? The path where we walk was so full of puddles today I gave up trying to get round them and just splashed through, to the amazement of an older couple tiptoeing round the edges, who looked at me as if I was crazy. Trousers now in the washing machine.

Yep! Nodded off watching TV earlier with a full cup of tea brew in my hand. Woke up to a warm wetness quickly spreading down my jeans grin whole cup gone. Just glad it wasn't wee lol wink

I was working from home and had to send an e-mail with attachment- I must have sent it before adding attachment because I had a message straight away saying the attachment was missing! No worries, says me, I'll just re-send it- which I did only to find an hour later I'd sent it to myself!
Home working is so much fun lol!

I put a bolognaise into the slow cooker. I came downstairs at lumch time (working from home in a bedroom) and wondered why I wasn't smelling a delicious aroma.

I had switched the slow cooker on, but omitted to switch it on at the plug.

Luckily, it cooked fine, and it was very tasty for dinner tonight.

I realised one of the little round buttons on my cardigan was dangling by a single thread so I decided to pull it off before I lost it. With the button between my finger and thumb, I reached out to put it down on the worktop but somehow let it slip. Inevitably, it rolled right under the washing machine and my efforts to poke it out with a plastic ruler have only succeeded in pushing it further back.
Also inevitably, this is the only cardigan I've had for years that didn't come with a spare button sewn on to the laundry label!

I needed petrol, left my phone plus card behind.

And this morning's piece of daftness? I,eft the coffee to filter while I ate my breakfast. Ten minutes later, looking forward to a reviving Americano, returned to the kitchen and found .... a pot of delicious hot water. Yep! I'd forgotten to add the coffee.

Midgey What happened?

Me - Plenty of time yet. Nothing so far confused

I put eggs on to boil at breakfast time and when I looked I’d switched the hob on the wrong ‘ring’ which was burning bright red behind the egg pan.

I knocked a full container of quilting pins on the floor, most of them scattered under the craft table.....got down on my hands & knees to pick them up, bumped my head under the table and dropped all the #%<*+¥~ pins again! Time for a coffee methinks!

Every day, too many times each day,, thinking I was really losing it, then I hear that many of us are stressed in this manner
Lockups are the pits.

Think I need a white coat to take me away .My. DD from Australia sent me some lovely flowers .I’d put them in a vase there were two sachets of plant food one in the vase .Now where was the second one to refresh the flowers in three days time ?
Searched searched all the sensible and silly places was feeling emotional about it .
Looked through the bins again and again .Later put some rubbish out .Found it guess where ? It had fallen inside one of my partners wellies he’d parked near the back door .
Stop looking so hard it turns up ?

A few weeks ago I struggled to open a new container of turmeric, using various implements from the cutlery drawer. Finally the lid sprang off sending half of its contents into the cutlery drawer.

A few days ago I did exactly the same thing with a container of curry powder.

Why can't manufactures understand that some lids are a formidable challenge for arthritic hands?!

And why can't I learn from my mistakes? At least I have a very, very clean and tidy cutlery drawer!

For out of bed ! Bound to go down hill from there smile

Almost every day I spend ages looking for something I had in my hand 5 minutes previously. Or even 2 minutes.

The other day it was a card from our supply in a box file. I’d extracted 2 for dh to choose from, put down the one he picked, put the file away - where was the blasted card?

He eventually used another and I found the first one hours later, on top of the printer.

I haven't done anything too daft today yet but there is still plenty of time left in the day.

Moggycuddler Thu 18-Mar-21 11:16:11

I do daft things quite often! Today I tried to use my nasal spray and nothing was coming out of it. I thought it couldn't be empty because I shook it and could feel that it was still nearly full. I pumped it and pumped it until the liquid ran out and ran down my hand from under the top, which I hadn't removed before spraying.

Can someone give a list of meanings for the common abbreviations used on here? DD? DH? and there are others ... thanks and sorry for being utterly dim!

nanna8 Thu 18-Mar-21 11:21:25

We went down to the beach for the weekend and I forgot the face masks, only had one in my bag. I had to buy some- what a rip off. Up to now I had made them all myself from scrap materials.
BernieJ I think there is a section on ‘acronyms’ which might have some of those abbreviations. Top of the page on my device.

Not me but my husband: I asked him to trim my topiary duck and he cut the beak off.

Horatia Thu 18-Mar-21 11:28:41

Shouting Happy Birthday and throwing kisses to my friend through the triple glazed doors of her care home to discover it isn't her birthday. Still she looked pleased to see me, even if I was a bit over the top. Roll on visits again.

Got myself presentable for a trip to the village post office to return a parcel. Arrived, got out of the car walked to the PO door - left the parcel at home! That was yesterday, can't wait to see what today will bring.
