The final chair for our refurbished lounge is being delivered this morning - hope we still like it, we only ordered it between lockdowns 1 and 2.

Yesterday was a day of ups and downs. Our neighbour called us for help as she got stuck half in and half out of bed and could not move. Ended up with her being taken to hospital.

A while later DD 3 called and asked if I’d like to join her and DGS for a picnic at the local rec. especially good as DH was back to golf so was expecting to be all day on my own.

DD had a midwife appointment which ended up with her having to see a doctor. Will be glad when this baby arrives.

I have an on line class today which I am not looking forward to. Hopefully an afternoon in a sunny garden to follow.

Good morning from Staffordshire.It was a foggy drive down here which wasn’t great especially with my passenger offering advice?but the sun is shining now.

DGS doesn’t seem 100% today although he had only just woken up when we got here so hopefully he will feel better later.We are doing an Easter egg hunt in the garden today as we probably won’t see him over the weekend.Grandmabatty, we aren’t allowed to let him nap anymore?we have the opposite problem on a Friday with Henry as he has to be asleep before midday which can be a bit of a fight?

Sorry about Pinchy and the problems with the bull sheepandcattle.Our son in law has a dairy farm and bad days with the animals are very upsetting.

Morning all from a sunny south coast. It was only 1.5c at 6am but has shot up to 5.0c just now.

Needs to warm up even more as we plan to eat in the garden at lunchtime, when DS visits. That will be the highlight of the week! Haven't seen him since early December and it will be hard not to give him a hug but we are told that we have to maintain social distancing still.

Sad news from the farm Sheep. You need to be strong to farm livestock with all the ups and downs involved. Hope today is a better one for you.

I followed the story of the mega sized container ship stuck in the Suez Canal with interest. Once the Dutch salvage company got involved I felt sure they would sort it out and they did. It did look as if that container ship was too big for the canal. They always look top heavy to me.

Haven't read the posts properly yet but have seen the sad post from*Sheepandcattle*How I wish the outcome for Pinchy had been different. As an animal lover I look for that post every day. Will read the other posts later - hoping for good news for Louis at his scan appointment.

It was very clear last night so I had a good view of the ISS going over followed by a beautiful moonrise. The moon was orange.
Gardening this morning. I can sort the edges of the lawn with my new cutter thingy. This afternoon I am attending a webinar by a potential funder for my charity.

Sheep I am so sorry for your troubles - the problem with the bull is no small matter and you certainly did your best for Pinchey. I hope you have a better day today.?
Food shopping for me this morning, with DH and DiL visiting the garden tomorrow, and I can’t just plonk a sandwich down in front of them (unfortunately!). If time permits, I might get a bit of gardening done later. Dahlia seedlings need transplanting.

Good morning all from a sunny Essex. Beautiful day yesterday. Got all the laundry dry - sheets, duvets etc. , and sat out to read my book. My friend phoned me from the seafront Sar and said it was mobbed. We knew it would be! ☀️. All the best for you DH ?

DH is going fishing today and as we only have one car now, I will walk up to my friends and sit in her beautiful garden and have afternoon tea. It’s uphill all the way, so I will take my time and be ready for my cuppa when I get there.

5yr old GD is arriving at 10 while mummy works, - just for 2 or 3 hours. I’ll get the paints out in the garden and she can make as much mess as she likes.

DS2 was offered a new job yesterday, so he’s overjoyed. His present contract was coming to an end next month after 4 years. We were all concerned as the job market is worryingly deplete, in all areas. DS1’s job might be relocating to Madrid and he said he won’t be going, as he has family with 2 daughters coming up for GCSE’s . Not a good time for them to move abroad. He’s been in his current position for 26 years and fancies a change, but easier said than done when you have a mortgage and bills to pay and are used to a nice standard of living.

Let’s hope you all have the sun today and enjoy it while you can. Maybe snow for Easter ?. ?

I’m all excited as our little - 36 year old - daughter is visiting today, first time since Christmas. It’s a long day for her as she’ll drive from south Norfolk and back but we have a Tesco delivery soon so will have plenty of goodies to make it worthwhile. She wanted to come on the first ‘allowed’ sunny day.
It’s sad about Pinchy, sheep, you gave her a good chance. Do you have any recompense with the bull? Farming is indeed a tough life.
Well, I must stir my stumps, as they say, I have scones to make.

S&C, hearing news of Pinchy and your tlc of her poorly legs gave me a lot of pleasure. So a little lamb with such a short life has brought many smiles at a difficult time. Thank you for sharing and I hope you take comfort from knowing you did your best. I also hope the bull isn’t a lost cause.

It’s a lovely sunny day here in North Hampshire, the garden looks good after a visit from my gem of a gardener (my luxury but so worth it) so I’ll enjoy sitting out.

I’m feeling groggy after a a very broken night caused by strange, unsettling, and extremely vivid dreams. I know from experience that it’ll take a few hours to get fully back to reality.

I’m sorry to hear of your woes s&g, if the bull isn’t fit for purpose don’t the vendors have any responsibility? Poor little Pinchy, you did all you could for him, he was loved and cared for.

I have a click and collect appointment at Next today, I’d bought a few things in the sale. The appointment system for collection is new though.

Sorry to here the sad news of Pinchy. The danger here is lambs eating frosty grass, the outcome of which, they don’t survive. Heartbreaking to witness.

I watched a superb Attenborough documentary yesterday following wildebeest, lions etc. in the Serengeti. Beautiful filming and a wonderful escape from present day worries.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s a gorgeous sunny one already. I slept like a log last night after crying my eyes out watching the last episode of ‘Unforgotten’!

I’ve been asked to make the SOAP dish for my daughter today so we will take it over this afternoon while they are all out at work and school. Walk through the park. I usually empty the dishwasher too when I’m there. Every little helps ha!

Right, I’m going to settle down to read the 40+ posts above mine. That’ll take me half an hour.

I’m so sorry about your sad news Sheep. Pinchy was much loved. Then on top of it all the bull sounds as though it is going to be an expensive problem. A hard day.

Good morning from a sunny NE, we are promised 18 degrees today and full sun.
DH has a hospital appointment at noon so it will be a late lunch today.
Got my patcel of books unpacked and in the bookcase, they look interesting and will keep me going for a few weeks.
Rest of deliveries are scheduled for every day this week.
So sad about Pinchy and very worrying that the bull was not 100%.

DH has gone off to a hospital appointment, taken by a volunteer driver. They are a superb organisation, and we have been very grateful for their help several times.
So sorry to hear the sad news about Pinchy. S&C, at least he was well loved for his short little life. Does your bull come with any sort of guarantee, i.e. he is not fit for purpose?

Hoping Marydoll, is resting as much as possible, even though she finds it so frustrating.
Good luck to your DH Sar for his appointment.
Thinking of Elizabeth1, and Cherrychezzy, and all those needing a bit of TLC.
My first infusion went very well, but I came home with another lot of paperwork, and more tablets. I need a spreadsheet if when to take what!
Later this morning I have a friend coming for a coffee in ghe garden, lovely. She always cheers me up.

Good morning, Mick and everyone from a rather dull Cumbrian coast.
Another poor start to the day, re-dialling and re-dialling my GP surgery for half an hour only to find, when I finally got through, that all appointments for the day had gone. I need to discuss the result of my recent colonoscopy and what ongoing tests etc I may need and eventually the receptionist said she would put a note through to the doctor. The staff are thoroughly disgruntled with the new arrangement. It has come about because they have amalgamated 5 local surgeries and the new appointment system has been imposed 'from above'. It's totally unsatisfactory for the patients. Who can/want to spend half an hour on the phone maybe for several days running?
Blood is beginning to boil!
It's best to move on so I'll wish Mick an enjoyable day out and, Sheepandcattle, I'm so sorry about poor Pinchy, I'm remembering her in those lovely pink splints you made. I was hopeful of seeing her prancing about in the fields eventually. And good luck with your bull problem.
A day for me to carry on packing and maybe tackling my pile of ironing.

I completely forgot to thank Marydoll and Auntieflo. I had been fantasising about calling Marydoll out to fix a few problems round the house and have a go at the bidet plug while she was here. We could have had a lovely visit.
But I should have remembered the WD40.
Copious amounts, patience, sufficient pressure and wow, no need to call the plumber out. Alright we have a gaping hole but builders merchants are still open.

You are both still welcome anytime you can get here. ??

Good morning Mick and all his followers. It was a beautiful moonlit night here in Suffolk and the day is glorious. I am going to decant hostas from their huge pots today and split them. That may be a bit of a struggle!
A lovely day with DGC yesterday - they live in a very busy house with teenagers, and really seem to enjoy a slower pace and much more attention here.
The theme music to this garden is “I don’t know” from the collared doves. It started a couple of weeks ago and is constant now. Then the pigeons add their five pen’orth with “I really don’t know “ .
Better get moving I suppose. I hope the day is kind to everyone
