Very sad about poor Pinchy sheepandcattle, you are a very caring farmer and gave him a fair chance. I hope the antibiotics work on the bull and all is well in the end. Such a worry for you.

A visit with your good friend Auntieflo sounds like just the ticket, there’s nothing like a good natter with close friends to lift the spirits.

Good Morning everyone. Beautiful day here in Flamingo France - where there must have been 250 of them wading for their lunch as I drove past with DH yesterday. Really lifted my spirits.

Those spirits have been seriously wobbled by sheep ‘s news today. The bull setback is bad enough, but dear little Pinchy? So very sad. You need loads of courage to farm because try as you may to go the extra mile with good care and management, sometimes things just go badly wrong and you have to get past that and pick yourself up again. So we all feel for you, sheep and hope life settles quickly and you have an acceptable outcome regarding the bull. ?

Sounds as if life - in some small ways - has perked up for so many. A long-awaited trip out for you Mick, make sure you enjoy it now your meds have been sorted.

Hope your class isn’t too chilly, Mattie. Looking forward to seeing that lovely, finished quilt!

Another good morning from S Lanarkshire. Sorry to see Pinchy didn’t make it, you gave him the best little life you could Sheep and good luck with the bull, I hope you have some comeback if he can’t be helped.
We are used to our weather up here of course, and it’s a great place to live, but there’s no denying some weather envy! My sister lives in Corby, she envies my environment and I her sunny garden!
Hoping today for a promised nice afternoon for a walk with my local daughter.
A short post this morning Marydoll, I hope you’re feeling okay.
I’m realising I’ve left the Easter Eggs purchase a bit late this year, another downside of not going into shops, so that will need to be remedied today somehow. I’ve sent my distant grandchildren bake at home ‘Easter’Pizzas from a home delivery site that I used earlier in lockdown and which was a great success.

I feel joyous just reading about you all! And the week after next cafes, pubs and wine bars will be open (with loos!) and as we can’t go to Malaga I want to get out and about in our little Peugeot 107 (we call it the ‘bubble’) for lunches on day trips - asking my stepfather along of course! We’ve all been shut in haven’t we for so long? I ❤️ being retired! Plus it means mid week journeys when everywhere is less busy.

DH has his first golf since before Christmas, so he's looking forward to that, (so am I)!!

We,(when at our little home-from-home on the NW Norfolk coast), jokingly refer to our cruise ships in the Wash, ( obviously they are tankers waiting for the tides to go into King's Lynn docks..!!)
I think we may be able to visit for the day, but may wait until mid-April, when we can stay overnight.

Good morning from the Sefton coast where it is 11° and bright.

Yesterday morning, delightfully sunny and wonderfully windy, marked the return of drying bedding outdoors. The smell of line-dried fabric cannot be compared and the wind does the ironing. DiL sent a Whatsapp video of DGD opening a parcel containing a book she’d really enjoyed with her class teacher. DGD’s delight and her beautiful smile as she thanked us for it melted our hearts, especially since it’s been so long since we cuddled up and read with her. Guess what was on the pyjamas she was wearing? Flamingoes. Attagirl!

DS has arranged to bring her and her daredevil brother round at the weekend for a garden visit. We’re really looking forward to seeing them so our fingers are crossed that the weather holds.

This afternoon I intend to make a recipe from the Be-Ro cookbook which was so highly recommended on GN I sent off for it. I’m inspired now to plant more herbs, particularly parsley, basil and dill. Pottering in the garden is one of my favourite activities (but not crocus relocation ).

Mention of freezers caused me to chuckle. We have a small chest freezer from Iceland, still going strong after yonks. Much as I suggest it, DH won’t part with it. It lives in the garage with all the ‘just in case/you never know’ stuff he treasures!

Sheep I was wondering where you were. RIP little Pinchy - a short but obviously happy little life. The problem with your bull is an enormous one for you. Don't apologise for sharing with us - we're now all really interested in your life on the farm, and this is part of it.

Tai chi outside is always lovely Grandmattie. Enjoy yours in the sunshine. Apart from an occasional meet-up on the beach when the tide and weather are right, it looks like it will be mid-May at least before we can hold proper classes again, if I've read the guidelines correctly.
Nothing much going on here - although I really must finish yesterday's to do list. And as the day is set fair I may peg the bedding out instead of tumbling it as it gives such a lovely fresh smell. Whatever, it's a lovely day to do it in today ?!

Good morning all from a beautiful morn in West Yorks.
Woken today by the sound of road works starting on road in front of house AGAIN !! We have lived here 10 yrs and although only B road have lost count amount of times it has had cables pipes,drains laid,at some point ?we will get a complete new tarmac road.
Sad news about Pinchy her arrival and progress made us smile.Do hope the antibiotics sort the bull out,can imagine the chaos in farm business if he doesnt improve.
DH taking oldies (90+)for 2 vac tomorrow not easy task with wheelchair and walkers.
GCs here for long day tomorrow so better get plan of action together will collapse on sofa within 10mins of them leaving but they do make us laugh and on the whole easy to entertain.
Love hearing all your plans for the day.Walks,picnics meet ups the weather and relax in rules has given us all a much needed boost I feel.

Another lovely start to the day though only 9 degrees it promises to warm up later. It'll do me.

It's the funeral today of the old man that I used to keep an eye on by looking to make sure he wasn't on the floor if his bedroom window hadn't been opened. He did it religiously every morning as a " code" to say he was up and about, but used to fall often of late. I won't be going but will think of him, he was 90.

GD was here yesterday for most of the day which I'm glad about so we sat and chatted then I did a quick lunch of sausage egg and chips which went down well.

I have to take a trip to the bank today so I've been getting ready for my first trip on the bus and not feeling particularly eager about it but I'll be straight there and back, needs must.

So sorry to hear the sad end to Pinchy's short life and also how the bull's turned out too. Not all a bed of roses is it ? I hope at least you can get Bogdon sorted. Life is always unpredictable down on the farm.

No doubt the beach park and prom will be crowded today in the expected warmth, oh dear, I'm thinking that the sudden cold snap at the weekend will keep them all away. Hope so. Difficult because it's half term.

Hope everyone has the best day they can. I’m going to do some sewing today, I managed to put up the new living room curtains yesterday and that’s left me a bit the worse for wear. It involved a step ladder and I’m not good with those!

So sorry to read of little Pinchy, sheepandcattle. Very sad, and you were obviously fond of her, but it sounds as if she would have struggled as she got bigger. I hope that the antibiotics work for your new bull, too - such a worry for you. Another poster asked if it's possible to hire in another bull if yours doesn't improve - is that a possibility?

It's nice to read of GN's plans now the restrictions have been eased a little - it's amazing how even the smallest of pleasures such as having coffee with a friend outdoors means so much to us now after all we've been through. So, everyone, enjoy your plans ?.

I rather think my DH will end up in hospital tomorrow. Our Dr has suddenly started to be concerned about him (quite rightly so). Had him to the surgery yesterday to see the Nurse practitioner, she had him going this morning to give a blood sample. Tomorrow his has a Dr's appointment followed by a hospital appointment. With the weight of 7St, 8 lbs, he looks like someone just out of Belsen. He doesn't believe me, so I hope I'm wrong!!
Tomorrow we also have the first shift at Gds birthday party. We are 10 - 12, then DD1's Mil and Sil til 2pm then a couple of school friends. DD1 has a house with a very large garden and a Garden room which will be available

Good morning Mick and all from a sunny northwest Lancashire coast. Just spotted a squirrel leaping from tree to tree. Sadly a grey as we have red here.
You will enjoy your change of scene Mick, it doesn’t matter where you live, manor house, palace etc, it’s important to have a change and that’s what has been getting this gadabout gypsy down!
Bought a pressure washer yesterday from Lidl, the brand my son said they had wasn’t there, just one of another brand, after ringing him and my daughter for advice with no luck, I did a shop and was about to set off for home when said son said get it. Back in and in the queue holding the damn heavy thing, dropped my purse all over the place, then on the way out, my bankers card was returned to me, having dropped that...hope it works.
Today am dropping off bags for charity shops, they are opening purely to take donations and to watch another funeral online.
Son ‘swinging by’ as he calls it. He’s so laid back he’s halfway to New Zealand, so no idea what time. Don’t know what I would do without him.
Thoughts to Ashcombe, dragonfly, Cherry, Auntieflo and anyone with something on their mind.

Good morning from a sunny but breezy north of Scotland. There was a gale last night and I don’t sleep well when it is so windy.
I spent ages tidying in the garden yesterday and it is a mystery why given that it was put to bed for the winter, looking pristine.

sheepandcattle. How difficult for you. We were all rooting for Pinchy. With regard to the bull, do. You have any recourse if he is not fit for purpose. Having to call the vet so soon seems like a reason why the contract might be reversed. What a worry for you.

I am watching for a parcel being delivered which might be the highlight of the day. What a poignant ending to forgotten. I was like *urmstongran” shedding tears.

A late good morning from me and thanks for all the warm welcomes yesterday. Despite or because of the let up in restrictions yesterday I had a real wobbler of a day. Didn’t help that DH was out (work) most of the day. So ( not that I need it) at his encouragement I have ventured into the city centre on this sunny day. So pleased I did when this is my view. It’s really raised my spirits. This is our happy place at home and a walk and coffee here has kept us going through all the lockdowns and before that I might add.
So sorry to hear about little Pinchy and thinking of everyone going through illness and other wobbles today.

Sunny in Cornwall. Because I was late up, it was then warm enough to breakfast outside. MrM is letting me sleep in whilst nights are disturbed with the sciatica pain.

Me too Muse I get a rectangle instead of flamingos. It's because our tablets/phones do not recognise certain emojis. I can see them on my phone but not on my tablet.
