Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking like the start of a bright and sunny day with a wind chill .
Today , will get bus to Buckingham , and then Bicester , have a coffee and shop browse , return to Buckingham , a coffee and sarnie, maybe shop and then look around the flea market hoping a dealer who I get things from is there.
Return home on bus ,and maybe a Chinese's Take Away later .
Take Care,

Good Morning everyone from what will be another sunny day on Severnside.

I had a successful shop yesterday and bought a few other things that I didn’t have on my list. Coming out of Asda I set the alarms off. I wanted to shout run ?‍♀️I then wondered where my car was.

I’ve got to finish off making a birthday card this morning then I will go outside and start the gutter cleaning on the garage as I want to give the walls a fresh coat of paint in the coming weeks.

Hope you all have a good day ?

Good morning from north Surrey. Clear skies and another “warm” day forecast.
So lovely to hear of haircuts, shopping a people meeting up.
I am off to work this morning so just popping in to wish all a good day today

Kalu Sat 24-Apr-21 06:43:37

Good morning from Glasgow where it is cloudy at the moment with sun forecast for later.

In between footering about inside and outside, I must give my car a good run today and a much needed visit to our local car wash is another must.

Have a pleasant day all.

Good morning from a frosty and sunny morning in Oxfordshire, we spent most of yesterday gardening, so hopefully a day of pottering this morning, although DH has 2 garden benches to sand down and then varnish and because it’s so dry the dust from the fields seems to have blown through every open window, giving me plenty of dusting to do.
Have a good day everyone, it’s good to hear that folks are starting to get back to normal with shopping etc. Hope we all find something to laugh at today, even if it’s only ourselves.

Good morning, one and all from a sunny but breezy Torbay! The clear, blue sky tempts me out but the wind sends me indoors, just like the story of “The Wind and the Sun”!

I hope the day went as well as such things do, Stillearning.
Beautiful hair, GrannyGravy13!
Great to know that Bogdon will be going back, sheepandcattle. Congratulations on your Ruby Anniversary, mamaa ?????

muse and baubles: wot sox! Lovely photos from baubles, Elliane and Alygran. Port Isaac looked perfect, Elliane ...... for filming fish fingers?!
What an apt quotation, Grammaretto for this April and I was glad to read of your day out, Cherry and you making the acquaintance of a potential ally!

EkwaNimitee: my ex and I experienced the form filling malarkey and proof of ID on signing on with a new practice when we retired to Torbay 10 years ago. We filled in the alcohol questionnaire too honestly and were immediately offered appointments for counselling!! He was a heavy drinker and I would try to drink the other half of a bottle of wine each evening to reduce his consumption since he would have had gin before then a post prandial whiskey or three! Along with the medication he was on, this led to heavy sleeping for up to 12 hours at a time. We divorced three years later.

Now, I drink much less and not every day although this is more difficult when in France with DH, olddudders!

Happy weekend, everyone! ☀️????

Morning Mick and All.

A bright warm day in prospect in South Bucks.

Yesterday my friend came round for coffee and we sat in a sunny corner of the garden. On looking in the mirror later I saw that my forehead was sunburnt. ? Must wear a hat next time.

Ellianne Sat 24-Apr-21 07:20:32

Subtle tones at the beach yesterday.
I joined lots of you with a haircut too!
Enjoy the weekend!

Morning all from a bright North Leicestershire.

We had a mixed day yesterday! Dd3 and the Wondrous Wolfie came in the morning before we all met DS1 in town for lunch. Considering Wolfie has not seen much of us at all in his 2 and a half years, he was lovely and relaxed.

When we arrived home, we were invited for a brew in a neighbours sunny garden.

We also had a vet's bill for one of the cats of over £500 and a diagnosis of possible asthma!

Enjoy your days everyone!

Good morning from Derbyshire. Another sunny day in store. Hopefully we've seen the last of the really cold, frosty mornings so I won't need to worry about the young greenhouse plants so much. Thankfully the seeds I sowed too early are starting to germinate - so all is not lost! I'll try to grow some pumpkins this year for the boys to carve faces in for Halloween ?.

We had a successful trip to the garden centre yesterday. I had already been the day before and had a good browse round everything in my own time, which would have bored DH, so this time it was straight to the counter, order the gazebo and out again! It won't arrive until mid June due to high demand, so I'm glad we haven't delayed ordering it any longer.

The walk that followed was shortened, which DH didn't seem to mind too much, probably because it ended with fish and chips for lunch!

Not much planned for today yet.

Hope Saturday is a good day for all.

Good morning Mick and all from slightly cloudy and 6° Lueneburg. I finished painting the radiators yesterday and spotted this morning that I should have covered the floor better. So today that has to be sorted and the paint removed from the floor. Otherwise only gardening and taking Waldi for a walk to the next village. I shall be starting to sort through my belongings and put the things which I am taking to my house in Britain into the spare room. I was happiest in Spain where we just had minimal belongings. ,
Wishing you all a pleasant weekend.

Pittcity Sat 24-Apr-21 07:37:55

Good morning from sunny Colchester. It's been an unusually dry but cold April so far.
Apart from watering the garden there's nothing on the agenda this weekend. DH is going to clean and paint the inside of his garage, otherwise we've done all we can do ourselves in our new home and are just waiting on quotes and dates from tradespeople.
Much love x

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

We had a lovely walk in the woods yesterday. The bluebells were magnificent.

Today DD and SiL are coming for lunch in the garden so better get cracking.

Have a good day everyone.

Try again to post picture.

Good morning from Shropshire.

Thank you so much for all the supportive posts, messages and advice re my dentist situation.I have registered with a new practice and have an appointment at the end of May.

DGD stayed over last night. We have put her tent up in the garden so she is having breakfast in there this morning. We will just take the day as it comes.

Cherry, so pleased you have an ally and that you are getting good advice on dealing with the situation.

Thinking of all our missing good morningers and those having treatment or with partners having or waiting for treatment?

Have a good day all??

Rufus2 Sat 24-Apr-21 07:46:28

Hope we all find something to laugh at today, even if it’s only ourselves
Oopsadaisy1 Plenty of good material there! grin
Sorry I didn't get time to answer your kind enquiry about my recent hospital episode; the rug being whipped out from under my feet! so to speak! sad
No! My fall wasn't due to BPPV again, thankfully, but a good old-fashioned trip. All "goodish" now! smile
Hope your BPPV has disappeared;
Thanks again for asking
OoRoo .

Good morning all and a special mention welcome to Grannytilly.
As Kalu has mentioned, its cloudy here in Glasgow, but hopefully sunny later. I have just realised why my face is so red, its sunburn from yesterday's garden pottering.
Kalu, I don't want to hear of any girl racers, bombing down those country roads near you ( and me Litterpicker ) ! ??

A day of pottering in the garden for me too. I need to repot my leeks and tidy up some old pots, which DH has abandoned (as usual) at the bottom of the garden.

I received the loveliest of video messages from Dollie yesterday, It was so unexpected.
It started with her telling me that when Nicola says it's OK, I'm coming down to look after you. She planned to bake and do my dishes for me just like she used to do.

She then proceeded to offer me the job of headteacher in her school. The HT, an ex colleague of mine was due to retire in the summer, but has broken her shoulder, so a replacement is needed urgently. Its such a sad way to end her career.
Dollie listed all the reasons (accompanied by a multitude of had gestures) why I was so suitable for the job. It was absolutely hilarious. #super teacher gran. ??
The best reason was, that as her gran, she wouldn't need her mum and dad to pick her up, because being the heidie, I would just take her home at the end of the day for a sleepover and we could have a party. She has got that so wrong. I would be making ner do her homework first! ?

Oh how I have missed that wee girl! ? ?
My son sent the video, so we hope it is a sign that he is eventually softening.

Keeping all of our struggling friends and their families in my thoughts and prayers thoughts and hoping you have the best day you can. Life is so difficult for many just now. ?

DH has brought me a cuppa to take with my pain relief and the newspaper in bed. Bliss! Happy Saturday!

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Anglesey with a hazy sky and promise of another beautiful day.
Sounds as though life is more jolly for you Mick now that you can be about and about.
I too was guilty of not protecting my face from the sun NanKate, look like a cross between Rudolph with his red nose and Father C with red cheeks. Factor 50 on today and a big straw hat.
Supposed to be gate painting today to match the new fences but have run out of paint. No delivery until Monday so will have to find something else to do.
Our little lane has resembled the M25 this week with cars towing caravans and boats or loaded with top boxes arriving by the dozen. Winnebagos galore, goodness knows where they are finding space. There are two caravan parks that must be overflowing by now.
I might wander down and have a nosy poke.
Although we can see the sea we can’t see the caravan parks. Will post a photo from the bedroom window.
Off to Leicester tomorrow, first time we’ve crossed the bridge to the mainland for 14 months oo er Mrs. We’ll toot as we pass you Pant.
So glad you have an ally Cherry, let’s hope you can get something done together. Have another ‘lucky’ day, goodness knows you deserve it.
Have a lovely flamingo filled weekend everyone. See you on Monday

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s another dry sunny day forecast. Yesterday was lovely again and I enjoyed meeting my friend and chatting away for ages for most of the afternoon
Lovely picture Ellianne thank you
Lots of gardening activities happening, I think Spring is such a lovely time of year, especially when the weather is good.
This morning we’re going to DD2 garden for a sit in the sunshine and to watch the DGC playing. They’ve just bought a new wooden swing/slide set that is being rather difficult to put up, so Sil and DH will have another go at that later.
I’ve managed to find a little place to stay not far from my DD1 in Cambridge so I’m going away for a few days next week - so excited as I’ve not seen them for months. It’s just me going as DH should be starting back at his part time gardening job next week which he’s looking forward to.
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it promises to be another fine day.
☀️

I’m joyous this morning because the scan of my neck yesterday afternoon was completely normal. Yay! The sonographer (a doctor who was lovely) said she couldn’t explain my symptoms but I told her I was hugely reassured by the scan and am waiting to see an ENT specialist. I just about skipped home as you can imagine.

Saturday is a bacon & egg breakfast here. Himself is still snoozing. Also Maw picks up her new greyhound this afternoon so a shout out to you dear lady!

Hope Saturday is good to us all. Keep safe. x

Good morning all from a cloudy Polmont. I haven't said that for a few days! LauraNorder I would struggle to live where you are because I have an absolute fear of bridges. An old friend reckons it's because I'm secretly a witch and they can't cross running water. There is one particular bridge at Perth which I find almost impossible to cross which was a problem as dd went to uni in Dundee.
Marydoll can you grow leeks in pots? I've rediscovered gardening since I moved into my bungalow and would like to experiment more with growing veg in pots. Pittcity are you settling in to your new house? It sounds like you are. When I moved I was impatient to have all the work done by trades because I had a vision for how my wee house could look. Fortunately that was before the pandemic.
Today is a smallish shop at Aldi and housework. It doesn't take long and I will spread it out with frequent stops for tea. I have nothing else planned so I shall potter about. Have a good day all.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 24-Apr-21 08:05:32

Morning Mick and all

Another sunny day in paradise ???

Will go to local butchers some time this morning. Then I will look at my pots in the garden, decide what I need to buy ??

I shall try and avoid the news this weekend, I feel so much better without the constant drip of bad news.

Enjoy all the garden visits and meet-ups ?

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️
