Today , will get bus to Buckingham , and then Bicester , have a coffee and shop browse , return to Buckingham , a coffee and sarnie, maybe shop and then look around the flea market hoping a dealer who I get things from is there.

Brilliant and reassuring news Urmstongran

Hello Maw wishing you many happy doggie walks ?

Gingster Sat 24-Apr-21 08:09:56

Good morning all from a bright, sunshiny Suffolk coast.

Yesterday was warm and the wind had eased. Let’s see what today brings. ?

At last we’ve finished painting the summerhouse. Tbh it could do with a third coat but that ain’t gonna happen. We are truly sick of it. DS1 and 2 said they will come and do it for us next time. ❤️.

Our house in Essex has been painted while we’ve been here and the pics look lovely, so it will be nice to go back to on Monday.

We had coffee with our neighbour who is up for sale. She has had a few viewers and I think it will be snapped up, maybe for a holiday let. It would be perfect for that as it’s right on the beach, next to a small country pub and a little cafe a little way up the beach.

A lazy weekend for us, pottering and reading. Bliss!

Wishing you all a sunny, safe and satisfactory saturday ?

Good morning all from sunny and bright Welwyn, Herts. I can't believe the weekend is here again, the days seem to fly past with DGC care on three days and the days in between are used for shopping and household chores, but it's all good.
I finally managed to do some window cleaning this week, but I paid for the joy later with the pain in my shoulder, must have overdone it a bit.
Next week DH and myself are due to have our second Covid jab, thankfully we are slowly getting back to some sort of normality.
Wishing you all a joyous weekend whatever you may be doing.

Good morning from a cool Morecambe Bay where another pleasant day is promised. Later today little GD is coming over. That will be 5 out of 7 we will have seen in the last 8 days!
I had a present of a craft kit delivered every month and this months is a paper making kit to which you add seeds. At a later point you set them off to grow. It involves a lot of mess and squish I think, so I will get some ‘help’ from DG when she arrives.
It’s Saturday so chat with my friend shortly. Take care and stay safe everyone ???

Gingster Sat 24-Apr-21 08:18:23

Good news Urms. We know how anxious you’ve been about your neck. Now you can relax ! ?

glammagran Sat 24-Apr-21 08:22:19

Thank you all so much for your good wishes on the birth of DGS. He pretty much sleeps all the time he’s not feeding so his 2 year old sister is finding him rather boring. Here’s a picture of them meeting on Wednesday.

We had the family round for sandwiches in the garden and then took a walk to the local park. Within 2 days DD2 is looking so well. We had a bbq in the early evening but the east wind made it a little chilly.

I’m pleased MawB has got a new dog and I hope B9exchange’s GC arrives very soon. It’s not fun being late as I know too well myself.

Have a good day everyone.

ginny Sat 24-Apr-21 08:22:19

Good morning. A bright start here in N. Bucks.
Local food shop this morning and a walk along the river. Some pottering in the garden this afternoon .
Hope you all find a ? today.

ginny Sat 24-Apr-21 08:24:04

Lovely photo glammagran.

Greyduster Sat 24-Apr-21 08:27:01

Good morning Michael and all GNs. It’s cool and slightly overcast in South Yorkshire after yesterday’s wall to wall heat fest. We are going for a walk down the valley today and hopefully a swift half outside the pub before we stagger back! Then DH wants to cut the lawn before watching his team play football on TV. I really don’t know why he puts himself through it. Who knows, they may win tonight but it’s too late now. I try to look interested but......?
Have a good day folks, whatever you’re doing, and stay safe.

Good Morning Mick and all from blue sky and sun in S Hants, +7. Glad you’re back out and about Mick. The GC’s are a dream, it’s so lovely to have them for more than a garden or doorstep visit, tucking in to blueberry muffins. They’ll help me wash my car in a while, I’ll drop them back then Mr J and I are off to the allotment.
Photo ft Mr J’s knees! Have a lovely day all.
PS we still need rain!

Jaxjacky Sat 24-Apr-21 08:39:36

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s a bit cloudy but the sun is breaking through.
Off for a walk with a friend then lunch at our village pub. Feels like getting back to normal.
The electric work and boiler service went fine yesterday. Good to get things sorted.
Lovely pictures this morning.
Have a good day everyone. Stay safe.

Stilllearning Sat 24-Apr-21 08:43:56

Morning everyone from sunny S Lanarkshire. Thank you for all the good wishes and prayers for my friend yesterday. She had chosen beautiful readings and hymns ( two singers are allowed here), and it was a lovely tribute of love from a mother to a son.

Second jab today, DD2. is coming to stay overnight in case of a repeat of an unusual reaction I had last time. I am of course, very grateful to be getting it but a little wary.
Later we are going to have a take away from a local Italian restaurant, my first in the pandemic!

Wishing everyone a good day??

baubles Sat 24-Apr-21 08:44:25

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where another sunny day is promised perhaps with a little more cloud though.

Beautiful photos Ellianne and Laura.

Loved your description of wee Dollie’s video message Marydoll, I can just imagine it, she sounds just my five year old DGD who is such a chatterbox, every story is accompanied with all the dramatic gestures. Joyful.

What a relief for you Urms to know that there’s nothing sinister going on.

We popped over to a garden centre yesterday where I noticed this group of flamingos. I think someone a while ago mentioned the collective name for them but I can’t recall it at the moment.

The youngest GC turns one year old tomorrow so today I will bake some lemon drizzle and a traybake of some sort to contribute to the birthday tea.

Have a peaceful day everyone.

LauraNorder Sat 24-Apr-21 08:46:12

Well Grandmabatty that explains why I can’t get to the mainland on my broomstick.
Good news Urms. I did read somewhere that our expressions can give us symptoms. Do you use the term ‘pain in the neck’ often when describing nuisance people?
Agree GrannyGravy the news can bring us down. We’ve been doing news free weekends for a while now and feel quite refreshed by it, especially now that the weather invites us out to the garden.
Lovely photo Glammagran. We have a few families where little girl came first, little brother was boring and a bit of a disappointment but big sister always and for ever fiercely protective even though little brother now a foot taller in one case. All best buddies now.

Success, Dragonfly. That reminds me of the residential trips we made to Castle Toward at Dunoon. I loved walking through the woods full of bluebells.
However, being Scotland, we quite often had snow!

LauraNorder Sat 24-Apr-21 08:51:38

Great pic of a flamboyance of flamingos Baubles.
Fun with garden jenga Jax.
Love the tales of Dollie Marydoll what a little character, just like her granny by the sounds of things.

Gagagran Sat 24-Apr-21 08:53:00

Morning all from a bright and very sunny south coast. 6.9c at 6am and set to warm up rapidly.

We are back from the click and collect at Tesco - the first one without the famous tray liners. We took 3 plastic boxes with us, unloaded the trays into those then home via the paper shop for my weekly Saturday paper treat The boxes worked well and in fact I found it easier than the plastic tray liners for putting the shopping away at home.

Enjoying the garden and peace and quiet now the builders have finished and gone. We are very pleased with the result. Nothing much on the agenda but pottering today and hopefully DD might call round if she is not volunteering at the vaccination centre.

Good to read of everyone's "doings". It all feels much more positive and optimistic now. Fingers crossed that continues and that the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

BlueSapphire Sat 24-Apr-21 08:59:23

Another lovely morning here in sunny ? Northampton. Just had tea and a crumpet with strawberry jam (my predictive text had that as trumpet!).

It will be another afternoon of reading in the garden; I actually finished my book club read so need to find another book - which won't be difficult as I have half a dozen books on loan from DD. Will spend this morning on the cryptic crossword, which is usually a bit easier on a Saturday.

I cut the grass yesterday and continued my daily watering of new plants and also a couple of poorly looking hydrangeas. The cats came out as well and did a bit of sunbathing.

Good news about your scan Urmston. I am so pleased that Maw has a new dog. May she have many happy walks!

Wishing all a good day

Party4 Sat 24-Apr-21 08:59:42

Morning all.
Yes Greyduster havent ventured out but does feel little chilly today here in West Yorks.Fortunatley had 2 beautiful days and we have spent the time cleaning up and getting the outside tidy following our new roof, all shipshape now cannot believe all done and dusted in less than week.
Gcs here this morn prob til mid afternoon then other Gcs here for a pre booked sleepover, hopefully may get 2 hrs of peace between shifts.Although we love the visits we are exhausted when they leave but how time flies and in a flash they will be mini adults with a bigger social life than ours.
Have a lovely weekend with special thoughts to those with illness and worry.Take care folks.

dragonfly46 Sat 24-Apr-21 09:06:53

Yes Marydoll I had to compress it as they said it was too big. I haven’t had that with iPhone pictures before.

Marydoll Sat 24-Apr-21 09:09:47

Dragonfly, I have been getting that a lot with GN recently. It's a pain! grin

Grandmajean Sat 24-Apr-21 09:18:52

Sunny but chilly in Cheshire ( again )
Slept late this morning so will have to "catch up". Actually not much to catch up on so won't bother.
Have a good day everyone and good wishes to those with worries. I know that feeling Urmstongran - nothing like good news about your or a loved one's health !
